We’ve been to this place about six times so far, and I think last night was the last time for us. When we first went, it was novel to have a Vietnamese option so close by. The food wasn’t great, but it was at least inoffensive and a reminder of what we used to enjoy fairly often at the end of a long drive to the city. The food quality has gotten progressively worse, as has the service. Last night we had seafood phở, pork buns, cha gio, chicken satay, and café sua da. Insipid doesn’t accurately describe the broth in the soup, which tasted like the runoff from cleaning the floor at a Gorton’s processing plant. The cha gio were old, stale, and undercooked. The pork belly was unidentifiable as pork, and tasted absolutely unseasoned. The café sua da was crammed into the smallest to go cup possible over microscopic crushed ice. It tasted like it had been made three days ago and then put up in a jug. I can’t vouch for the chicken. My wife guarded it quite jealously, so it must at least have been innocuous. Service? Our impolite waiter was more interested in playing hide and seek. I asked for fish sauce to try and add some flavor to the phở and got a sneer and the passing comment that it «WASON The table.» That’s my graphic attempt to try and represent the Doppler effect as he rocketed around an empty restaurant, trying to seem occupied. Note: there was no fish sauce on the table. $ 40 for this? Save your skrilla and run up to Saigon on Rt. 309, or break down and plan a Philly excursion.

I ordered takeout for the 2nd time and my wife and I were delighted again with my selections. We ordered the Chicken Phở Soup, the Hawaiian Fried Rice, and the Pad Thai Chicken. They separate some of the noodles and accompaniments for takeout so you may want to ask them what goes with what if you are unsure. Everyone was delicious, quality meets value. I called the restaurant to tell them we really enjoyed their meal. I could tell from talking to them both times that they care deeply about creating authentic tastes, and going the extra yard to please their guests.

Love the mango chicken and to go Mango overload the mango and rice desert is why I keep coming back. I’ve been there numberous times and the service is either outstanding or very bad. It’s a crapshoot

I really wanted to like this place more because the guy working there was so nice and I liked the place, but I didn’t love the food. It smelled like phở the second we walked in so I had high hopes. We went here for phở, and it wasn’t my favorite. It lacked the certain specific seasonings and special tastes I find in other phở. It tasted too plain. The beef what rough and hard to chew, and I didn’t like how long the pieces were for soup. No amount of hoisin sauce changed it. We also ordered general tso chicken and maybe this was my mistake for ordering this from a restaurant that begins with«phở». But it wasn’t very good. The portion was also pretty small for the price. We also got a Chinese pancake which was pretty good and the dipping sauce that came with it was great. They do offer many smoothies and bubble teas and while we didn’t get any, other people did and they looked delish! I wouldn’t come back here for phở but maybe to try a smoothie.

Yay for vegetarians! Their veg phở with veg broth is the best I’ve had so far. See my pic. Better than the phở place in Willow Grove PA, which is too sweet, better then Phở Le Lai near Cottman, which is bland, and better than Vietnam Palace in Chinatown, which is also way too bland and small-portioned. Their veg phở is full of the same spices and herbs as beef phở. The veg summer roll is delicious too. Made with fried tofu. Prices are reasonable!

Bitch’n kitch’n[1] at this BYOB, as long as you stick to the Vietnamese options. Their menu features a fair choice of dishes: get your choice of meat on rice or noodles, various noodle soups, or an assortment of appetizers both Thai and Vietnamese. You can even score a banh mi hoagie in the burbs! The soups didn’t exactly impress, but I was satisfied with my pork chop on rice.[2] Light parking, lots of seating. Cards accepted. [1] Saw that one coming, eh? [2] The dish was described as «broken rice» but the rice wasn’t actually broken up. Just your regular jasmine rice.

I’ve never had a bad phở before but I could say that the phở I got here is by far my least favorite. I got the chicken phở and the chicken was impossible to enjoy. The chicken was very hard to chew, it had absolutely no flavor and the phở had too much broth that it wasn’t very appealing. I don’t know if I would come back but if I do, I’m not getting the chicken phở.

I was in the area for work and saw this place and since the reviews were good I got some shrimp Phở, to go. YUM!!! Fresh ingredients and I love that they kept all the extras separate in my to-go containers rather than combining any of it prior to my opening everything up(that keeps everything crunchy and fresh). I thought maybe they’d at least add the noodles prior but they kept everything separate so that I could add the portions I enjoy in my Phở. If I lived around here I would definitely come back but I’m an hour away in Delaware. :-( Enjoy it locals!

One Star is too generous for this dump. I hope the nasty person who created my meal reads this and changes her/his ways. First experience — Pad Thai — takeout — where’s my food? you didn’t even fill the container. And I paid $ 12 for crap for food. It tasted like crap… even less flavor than crap. Sorry to write such a bad review. This is the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. I feel ripped off and insulted. The portion was a rip off and the food was… well«YUCK» is an understatement! tasteless, textureless. And the reviews I read were so good — what a surprise. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here.

Really enjoy the food and the service also good. The place just opened three month ago. The menu is perfect size shows that they do what they do best by limit to their speciality. Banh mi(grill pork) is really good. Quarto delight platter has a nice portion(you can ask you rice sheet– to make your own rolls). Summer roll with grill pork is excellent.

What a pleasant surprise! Honestly I didn’t have high expectations — Authentic Asian food is lacking in the suburbs and it’s a fact, however I must support(plus anything would be better than«China Inn» where Phở Kich’n is replacing). But after trying for both lunch and dinner, either a quick Phở fix or a full family feast, I am convinced this is a solid 4 star. Here is the breakdown of what I’ve had: Spring Rolls — 4 stars. Fresh and crispy, but not greasy. Too many places got them wrong but they got it perfectly. Summer Rolls — 3.5 stars. The rolls are good but the sauce is off. The little things do matter. Saytay Chicken and Saytay Beef — 3 stars. Standard and decent. Again, sauce would be better. Quarto Delight Platter — 4 star. Comes with spring rolls and Satay Chicken, Beef Grape leaves which is interesting, and BBQ Pork with a bed of vermicelli. Great for sharing. Phở — 4 stars. We had several kinds including Phở Deluxe, Select-3 and Shrimp phở. My favorite is the Select 3 Phở. Meat is fresh, broth has good flavors, rice noodle has nice textures, and the bowl has decent amount of everything. That’s all you want in a good phở. No it’s not the same as the Phở you have in Philly, but it’s beyond what you would expect from the suburbs. Com with Pork Chop — 5 stars. Pork chop is juicy and I don’t know how they cooked it, but my kids can’t get enough of it. For $ 8.95 you get 2 full Pork chops which surprised me. You might be disappointed that it doesn’t come with quiche, but I didn’t mind. Bubble Tea — 3 stars. Standard but I can wait until next trip to Chinatown. Service — 4 stars. Very friendly staff. It could be slow at times when they were busy, but they try their best to check on every table. Some inconsistencies but I hope they’ll get better. Overall it’s really nice to know that authentic Phở is coming to the suburbs. I will take my family and friends there again.

Finally a decent Vietnamese spot opened up close to home! Came here with the family. Was seated promptly after walking through the 3 doors(you’ll see). Waiter took about 10 minutes to take our order. But food did come out in a reasonable time. Was in and out within an hour. But the food, I had he BBQ boneless pork. It was cooked perfectly. Meat was tender had amazing flavor! The portion sizes were rather larger than expected. Only thing I would change is maybe more fish sauce on the side. I also had a Thai Tea, super sweet but good. Had to dilute it down with water as I drank more. I believe it was BYOB, observed others finishing off a bottle of wine. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone local looking to try to things!

Went a week ago with a friend for dinner on a Saturday. Ordered the phở deluxe. I’ve eaten at many phở restaurants in the area but nothing was as good as the phở restaurants in North Philly. However, Phở Kitch’n has really blown me away. The service was great, the phở was aromatic and flavorful, and the prices are good too. The broth to noodle ratio was good as well, as they didn’t cheapen the dish by using tons of broth. They only opened recently but they are off to a fantastic start. I WILL be returning to try the banh mi. I would not hesitate recommending the Phở to anyone. I’m so glad there is now something so good, so close to where I live.

I’ve been looking for a phở place in the burbs after moving out of the city. The weather was slowly getting colder, so I figured a warm bowl of Phở would hit the spot for lunch. When you walk in, this place doesn’t look too appealing. We almost turned around because everything looks so run down. It it weren’t for Unilocal reviews, I wouldn’t have given this place a chance. Chicken Phở Big bowl of phở. Way to many onions. Bland broiled chicken. I put tons of beans, sriracha, basil, etc which made the broth taste delicious. The chicken however taste so bland and awful, that I didn’t even make it through one piece. I guess the only flavorful option here is typical phở with beef. Stir fried lemongrass vermicelli So much food. The bowl is packed with a lot of plain vermicelli, so we couldn’t get through it all cuz it tasted like dry bland noodles. The chicken, shrimp and beef were all made very well. The salad was cheap browned lettuce that had a bitter taste to it. Service was decent. A lot of options on the menu. They put a bowl of fish oil on our table which almost made me gag. The food just lacks flavor, but maybe that’s just how it’s supposed to be?

My best friend and I recently tried out this new restaurant for lunch on a Tuesday. It just opened up a few weeks ago, but there were no opening kinks during our visit. We decided to go crazy in our ordering and go for broke; mostly so that we didn’t have to be plagued by indecisiveness. We ordered two appetizers, two entrees, and split a sandwich. Possibly ridiculous, I know, but don’t judge me too hard. I bet you would have done the same. We started with the golden bags and the chicken lettuce wraps. The golden bags(of deliciousness) were very crispy and flavorful. As were the chicken lettuce wraps, which were a great lunch time appetizer. The portion was not overwhelming at all, so it was perfect for two best buds to share at lunch. Entrees were definitely the star of the show! My favorite was the broken rice combo. Came with grilled shrimp, really juicy chicken(thighs, I think?), and a porkchop. Broken rice really seems to be very small pieces of rice. All the meat was delicious, and plentiful, and the plate was visually appealing. I am not a fan of unnecessary pieces of vegetables intended as garnish, but there they were anyway. If you’re going to put one piece of tomato and one piece of cucumber on a plate that doesn’t need tomato and cucumber, at least put a couple pieces of iceberg and pretend it’s a salad! We also ordered the make your own combo phở, with three meats that my friend picked out when I wasn’t paying attention. It was about $ 9 for a bowl that was literally twice the size of my abnormally large face. Really tasty and comforting. Lastly, we decided to split a pork bahn mi. No, I’m not kidding, we really split two appetizers and three meals. The bahn mi was good, but not the best sandwich I’ve ever had. It would make a good light lunch, as it’s about 8 – 10 inches long, and like all other bahn mi’s that I’ve seen, it’s not meant to force you into a nap afterwards. But at only $ 5.50, it’s a steal. The location is not sparse, but not overly decorated or inviting. It’s simply comfortable and simple. It makes a good spot for friends or well established couples to go out and have some food for the soul. While it’s a BYO, it’s not a place for a romantic first date. Our server was also very sweet and helped us make our choices. There were two servers on during lunch, and I appreciated that they worked together as a team to help each other’s tables as well. With the combo of low prices, yummy food, and being a BYOB, I will definitely be back.

I was really excited to see Viet Kitch’n opening since I love trying out new viet places that pop up in the burbs. Unfortunately this restaurant’s food and service did not meet my expectations and let’s be honest, my expectations weren’t that high. Service: It took 10 minutes for the server to take our order and they never came back to check up on us even though we needed additional utensils. When we looked around, most of the wait staff sat around staring into their phones. It’s understandable that it’s a slow night but you still gotta do your job. Food: If you’re gonna charge someone $ 9 – 10 for a bowl of phở, that bowl better be filled with noodles and meat. The bowl they brought out to us was physically large however the contents were severely lacking. There may have been a handful of noodles and a dash of meat and the rest was broth(see photo). The banh mi priced at $ 5.50 was rather tragic as well… the meat tasted ok but again, lacking in quantity and quality. Conclusion: I’ve eaten a whole lot of phở all over the US of A and I’ve probably been most disappointed with this place especially in terms of service and pricing. It’d be all good if you’re gonna charge me $ 6 – 7 for the amount of food you’re giving me but $ 9 – 10 is pretty outrageous. I realize other restaurants in this area charge this amount too but they make up for it in the quantity of food they give you and good customer service goes a long way. So all in all, if you’re looking for something with substance and not just a big ass bowl of broth, I suggest venturing to other phở establishments in the area such as Banh Mi Bistro, Phở Thai Nam or Phở & More. You’ll walk away much, much more satisfied.

Went here with a friend based on recommendation of family members. We started with the pork belly buns. The pork had unbelievable flavor as did the peanut dipping sauce. We actually both used the leftover sauce to dip our shrimp from the phở! Only complaint with pork buns is that you get a large amount of pork, sauce and veggies(all good things!!) but only 2 buns! Would have liked 1 or 2 extra, we still ate all of the pork though because it was too delicious not to. We both also ordered the shrimp phở as our entrees. The bowl is absolutely huge and filled with noodles. The side of jalepenos, bean sprouts, and herbs were a nice addition to the dish. The bowl was also filled with large, juicy, perfectly cooked shrimp(about 6 of them!). The broth had a wonderful sweet but onion-y flavor. I added a little of the house made hot chili sauce to it for the perfect combination. I would definitely return. The service was prompt and the prices can’t be beat.

A phở place in the burbs… the viet food is way better in south philly but this place is close to where my parents live so I had to try. We got the lemon grass chicken, banh mi, and phở. Lemon grass chicken(~12.95) — Sliced chicken pieces… I was pretty disappointed because I thought it was going to be a whole chicken. It came with onions and peppers but it tasted overcooked to me. Banh Mi($ 5) — Pork– Not like you’re regular banh mi because they use actual cooked pork and not like lunch meat but the bread is SUPER hard and it was really dry. The meat was overcooked as well. Phở($ 8.95) — broth was not that great Thai Iced Tea– Too sweet and not worth $ 3 I think if you’re craving viet/thai food and you really can’t get yourself to the city then come here. I wouldn’t come back. They’re super nice but the food quality just doesn’t seem too high/fresh.

This one is close to my place so I was somewhat excited to see them open. They have quite an extensive menu that covers Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese; and that may be part of the problem — too much to choose and lack of focus. Overall, I like their Phở and their soup base is pretty fresh, not like some places who use MSG to create the taste. But I think it is on the pricy side for what I got. I think I’m still be back for a second time just for the convenience to my place.
