Usually quite good, but not so much today. Restaurant is undergoing renovation. The back of the dining room is extremely cold due to a not very effective piece of plastic sheeting blocking the entrance to the outside. Host disappeared for several minutes after seating the family in front of us leaving an unprepared waitress to step in to get us to a table. Just not impressed with anything today. Hopefully it will get better.

Unilocal needs negative star ratings! Worst lunch ever. Over an hour for food to appear, order messed up and focaccia sandwich burnt. Waitress never returned to table to even ask if things ok. Avoid this pathetic place at all cost.

We visited Saturday evening with our grandkids. The servers were attentive and helpful. We wish the food received similar compliments. Renovations are underway, a good thing since the décor is drab and on life support. Our table area was very cold; we asked if the heat could be turned up, but if so, it happened after we departed. The food was only ok, There must have been an embargo on the spaghetti sauce since there was so little of it. The food once was excellent, yesterday it was forgettable.

Very bad ! The chef was sleeping resting on the booth seats near the hostess area! Taking a nap… menus were greasy, the table was greasy, smells like mold everything felt sticky and dirty and the floor was vibrating. The only clean area was the bathroom! At least horrible experience walked out!

Not sure what all the bad reviews are referring to; maybe people have unrealistic expectations when eating here?(i.e. this is a chain restaurant, not the North End!) I have personally never had a bad experience with this location or really any Bertucci’s location. Granted, I usually stick to the pizza as that’s their signature offering, at least in my opinion, so maybe the quality elsewhere is hit or miss; however, I find their pizza to always be consistent and delicious. This location in particular is no exception and the service has always been pretty darn good; everyone is always friendly and conversational and it doesn’t take more than 10 — 15 minutes to receive your order. Also, this restaurant is quite spacious so you never feel crammed and can always hear everyone in your party even when the place is at capacity. I enjoy coming here. Simply put.

Came here for a company lunch. This Bertucci’s is pretty big, bigger than the one in Andover center and it has its own parking lot which is a plus. Lunch was still pretty empty tho. First impression was that… it smelled weird inside. Can’t really put my finger on it but there was definitely a funk inside and I’m hoping it’s just yeast used to make pizza and nothing else. Anyway, lunch comes with salad and bread. Salad is meh – iceberg with some mix ins. Bread rolls are soooo good w/excellent dipping oil. We ordered some wings(buffalo and Tuscan rubbed) which were okay but nothing stood out. The pizzas seemed worse than Bertucci’s other locations… not a good distribution of toppings and the dough was super tough. You’d do better eating at a small chain IMO. Also split a pitcher of sangria which was way too sweet. Overall disappointing but free food is free food and I’ll eat it.

Went out to dinner with my family, a party of 4. The service was horrible. The building was not even close to capacity. My waitress never gave us silverware after we asked. She never came to refill our drinks. After 10 mins we fetched our own silverware from another table. I asked twice for butter before it was finally brought to our table, at which time the bread was now cold. I don’t want to use names but our waitresses name began with a «C», if you get her, run! I am not one to complain but, my garnish was also cold, i am talking refigerator cold. I couldn’t wait to get out! I generally like Bertucci’s but, I would steer clear of this location!

I really want to like this place but lately it’s just been so, so bad. The biggest problem is the service. I worked as a waitress/bartender for 6 yrs at Joe’s American and these bertuccis waitresses wouldn’t last a day there. It must be a problem with management not training them or not caring or basically being unavailable. Come to think of it, I’ve never actually seen a manager at bertuccis. I only go back because it’s convenient and the food is good. On my most recent trip, I ordered lunch: chicken Milanese which is usually delicious. When I cut into it, it was completely raw in the middle. Pink. I tried to flag down the waitress but never found her. 15 minutes later I got her attention and she took it back, but my family was already done eating. No offer to take it off the bill or get us dessert or anything. Bill came full price. Just really annoying and more of a hassle than anything. I should really stick to take out!

Bertuccis is one of my favorite chain restaurants for delicious reliable food and good service. I unfortunately didn’t feel the quality I am used to at the North Andover location. The service was mediocre, the atmosphere seemed unclean and the food wasn’t prepared to my expectations. After ordering a pitcher of sangria, my party and I noticed that the glassware was unclean with fingerprints and cloudy glass. The sangria, which I order often, wasn’t made correctly and was completely missing the fruit. After asking the server about the lack of fruit and taste difference from other locations, we were told that the bartender was really busy and must have forgotten to put the fruit in. Instead of fixing the drink order or replacing our pitcher we were brought a few slices of orange and lime in a kids to-go cup to add ourselves with another excuse that the bartender didn’t have the fruit cut up so he didn’t add them. The meal came and my chicken domani was sitting in a pool of broth. I get this order quite often and had never experienced a soupy and mushy breaded chicken and spinach dish like this. There was also no offer for freshly grated Parmesan cheese which is one of my personal favorite things about Bertuccis. The AC was apparently not working on a 90 degree humid evening and we were not informed of this prior to eating. My party and I tried to enjoy our evening out while sweating and laughing at how ridiculous the whole experience had become. We would have preferred to have been informed of the AC issue prior to being seated as we would have chosen an alternate location or restaurant for the evening. Lastly, the vacant tables of customers who had previously left were not cleared of dirty dishes and were still not cleaned by the time my party and I left over an hour later. It was unsettling to see the lack of care taken within the dining atmosphere. Overall I was quite dissatisfied with this location and will not be returning there but will continue to visit other Bertuccis that provide quality and dependable food and service.

Bread was stale, tastes like it was left out from lunch. Dinner was awful. My mother and I both ordered chicken piccata, we each received different portions. But both are dry, have barely any sauce and the chicken is burnt and tastes like rubber. The waitress is slow and doesn’t check on the table. This is our second and last shot with this bertuccis location.

It has been many years(2 – 3) since I visited a Bertucci restaurant. I guess it wasn’t long enough(bad joke). I stopped visiting because the prices had risen way out of line with the marketplace, the food portion size had declined and the quality of the kitchen also deteriorated. I had scheduled a meeting with a business associate who suggested we meet at Bertucci’s. Thus my latest TERRIBLE experience with this Italian restaurant chain operator. My associate ordered a chicken dish which he said he enjoyed. I, in the manner of anyone who loves Italian food, chose the lasagna bolognese. It arrived in a oven baking dish(interesting). The dish was the only thing that was good. The food was tasteless, practically or no meat, lots of ricotta cheese. In fact, it wasn’t lasagna bolognese. It was lasagna MEATLESS. And it was tasteless. I took one bite and asked the wait person to return it to the kitchen. The restaurant manager came over and asked me what was wrong? I told him the food was inedible. He said he’d remove the dish from our bill. Nevertheless .my associate and I stayed and continued our meeting. Both of us vowed NEVER to eat at Bertucci’s again. For that, I’m sorry they have fallen so far down in the food product quality areas that, here on Unilocal, there a majority of reviews all attesting to bad experiences with food, service, etc. If they don’t change to more closely match the way they were in the 1st decade of the 21st century, they’ll probably be out of business before long. Talk about being«penny wise and pound foolish».

This restaurant has the potential of being 4 – 5 stars. I mean who doesn’t love Bertucci’s pizza and those ROLLS!!! But this location is probably the least consistent, frankly disappointing, and poorly managed location. About 2 months ago I picked up a pizza, salad and rolls on the way home from work. I love the margarita pizza. As i’m at home eating this pizza, I bite down on something that feels like dirt or a filing has fallen out of my tooth. I feel around my teeth, nope no missing filing. I sort through what was in my mouth(yes i’m sorry gross but completely necessary) and find ROCK! Literally a rock. Being a faithful Bertucci’s customer, I pull it out set it aside and then continue on thinking maybe this is a fluke. A few bites later MORE. Only a lot more. It looked like brick from the oven had fallen down onto my pizza. I pick up the phone. The hostess acts like the manager isn’t around I let her know I have found dirt or rock in my pizza… she tells me its the semolina that they put on the pizza… i let her know I know what semolina is and this is not semolina, she says hold on… all of a sudden the manager is on the phone. He said it could be dried bread crumbs from inside the oven that has turned hard(I’m not buying this… this was mortar or brick… but at this point… they clearly don’t care). The manager takes my information down and promises to send me a $ 50 dollar gift card. Its been two months… I have not received a gift card. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for the first month thinking how busy things can be. They 100% completely blew me off. Never EVER going back to this Bertucci’s again.

Kind of shocked at the bad reviews for this place. Bertucci’s pizza is the closest you’re going to get to real italian-style pizza outside of the North End, and I’ve always been a fan. I’ve never once felt like the pizza tasted artificial or not fresh, but I also don’t eat here as often as I used to. I have to admit that I don’t usually get the entrees, but when I have they’ve been decent. The rolls, of course, are heavenly. I’ve always had them piping hot. As for the pricing… yeah, it definitely could be cheaper, but I still think the pizza here is wicked good.

Always bad. I keep trying to like this place but it constantly disappoints. Got a salad for takeout that was practical rancid. Pizzas can run up to $ 20(order from King’s in Andover instead) Chicken dishes seem to be from pre-breaded frozen chicken. Last time for me here…

What happened to Bertuccis? Corporate greed? It appears since Bertuccis went national it jumped the shark and screwed the brand. We used to frequent locations around Boston and even DC for years relying on their consistent Pizza, Salad and Service. Now.there crust tastes like doughy plastic… the sauce like Ragu and the toppings over processed. We stopped going to Friday’s years ago for the same reason. We drove 30 minutes in the snow for this crap. Joe Crugnale the original founder here in Boston should be embarrassed by what has become of his once stellar brand. Oh and parking sucks at this location. Try Woburn or Lynnfield instead.

Bertucci’s isn’t bad, but no one will confuse it with a North End eatery. We were driving south on the old 128 toward Burlington and decided to stop for some gas and dinner. Unilocal had listed Bertucci’s as nearby and we thought we would give them a shot. This isn’t our first Bertucci’s. We’ve been to a few, mostly in the Midwest over ten years ago. We came in and were seated almost immediately near the kitchen. I’ve taken a several pictures, their setup is a corridor with the kitchen on one side and the pizza folks on the other. Good idea because it offers an ample view of the employees working hard preparing food. One of us ordered the Chicken Parm and the other the Shrimp pasta dish. Both were good and tasty and came with a salad. Our bill came to $ 47 in change including a glass of wine, dessert and taxes, but before gratuities. So, Bertucci’s just misses Three Stars, but is «A-OK».
