Don’t buy a car from here. They mislead you. I was told straight to my face by the salesman Mike and the built guy behind the desk Andre that I would get all the free for life things (free oil changes, wipers, state inspections ect.) forever. I asked totally free forever? Andre said yes all free. Guess what, none of that stuff is free unless you stick to their maintenance plan and spend all kinds of money on maintenance. My buddy bought a car a few months later and SAME thing happened. Will never go there again! Never buy a car from there.

Posted my 2012 Hyundai Sonata limited up for trade on auto trader received a call from David here at first Hyundai. Explained my situation to him which was I am in a loan and I’m trying to get out of my negative equity and into a different car. He insured me that they can help anyone and that they would have either a lease plan our loan plan that would work for me with my trade-​in. Showed up on time for my appointment and never met David, was helped by some guy who’s name that I never received. He had no idea of my situation nor did he care to take the time to even get to know me and what I needed and just ran my credit and told me there was nothing they could do for me. Complete waste of my time and I really did not appreciate being led on by David all week saying they could help me. This was my second visit to First Hyundai and will definitely be my last.

Terrible. Their service department is a joke and their First for Life program is all a lie!!! although I am a first for life member all the «free» oil changes and any other service listed is not backed up at all. I went for my free oil change and was told it was going to be 83 $ for routine maintainence and if I didn’t do it then my oil change wasn’t free. IT SAYS THIS NOWHERE LISTED ON ANYTHING IN THE FIRST FOR LIFE ADS… was not explained at the time I bought the car. nothing. I was told by the service advisor that he was shocked I had a problem with that and nobody ever has. As I was waiting in the waiting area 3 other people there had issues with the program… imagine that. I will never go back there for service or for a car. At this point even if service was free there, I’d go elsewhere and pay. first Hyundai is no different than the shady used car dealerships. Avoid them!!! They could care less about customer service, satisfaction unless it would hinder a sale. I am also sure that the service manager won’t respond to this as he did not respond to my voicemail either…

What a disappointment. I overall had a great experience with the sales consultant and even got a better payment last minute at another dealer but was willing to pay 20.00 more a month because of the relationship I thought I had with the sales consultant. Had to give extra money to the deal last minute because the assured me I would be credited back when my rebate was finalized but almost a month later nothing. I also bought a couple extra warranties because the Finance manager assured me they would only change my payment a few dollars but it actually went up 46.00. Guess I was to trusting and should have weighted my options better.
Then I reached out to service for an issue and literally got cut off mid sentence and sent «Upstairs» and still 4 days later no response from service, the GM, sales consultant or Internet Manager. Guess they got my Genesis sale so they are off to the next one.
Well off to Hyundai in Norwood who was quick and more then willing to look at my warranty repair.
After sales service and support is even more important then the sale itself. It’s what keeps repeat business and referrals but First Hyundai must not need this. Hopefully Hyundai doesn’t give them the Genesis brand in the fall because a luxury brand expect top notch Guest Service

Went to First Hyundai of North Attleboro to sell my 2006 Honda Accord after Kelly Blue Book gave me an offer for $ 2973 and referred me to First Hyundai to complete the deal. When I went to First Hyundai they told me my vehicle was only worth $ 1044 and would not negotiate at all on that amount. I brought my vehicle to another dealer the next day and got $ 2550 for it. I would never consider doing business with them.

Just to give an example. One of the «sales manager» was loud and called my car a piece of sh*t which is very rude. I don’t care if you don’t like it or you don’t want to give me more money for the car I’m going to trade in. Is very simple have some respect. Second was dealing with the «financial manager» another unprofessional and loud lady. In general the place is a joke. It took a week to get a car, the loan was approved by a bank the dealership has a buying car service. Wow!!! Unbelievable…
And the worst part is that when my fiancé picked up the car. The car has scratches that weren’t there before and something very strange the rims are different from what we saw it the first time. Even worse service than before– failed to fix TPMS light after multiple complaints. 20 miles after leaving from getting service last night my tire blew! They performed an alignment, multi– point inspection & wheel balance and said my tires were great, no holes or anything. Two minutes after leaving Hyundai, my TPMS light turned on again. A few minutes later the tire completely blew. I had the car towed there and am waiting to hear what will happen– now they are trying to sell me 2 new tires saying that my tread is low (yesterday it was fine).
On top of my other complaints, they first said my service would cost $ 70, then it went to $ 270 and finally when I picked my car up I paid $ 335
Seriously GO ANYWHERE ELSE !!! if I could sell my car for $ 5 just to avoid going back here, I would!

First Hyundai has caused me nothing but problems. I brought my 2014 Elentra in due to the service light being on in September 2015. They assured me it was a «mis-​fire» and nothing was wrong. A month later the light came back on and the issue was of bigger concern. They kept my car for an entire MONTH while fixing several problems. A week after my car was fixed I noticed oil leaks under my car. I have had to bring it in TWICE for the same oil issue. The oil issue continued to happen so I finally brought it to Route 44 Hyundai in Raynham. They were able to fix the issue. First Hyundai will never be used or recommended by me.

Although the promise of the First For Life program and the «excellent service» may be appealing, I would consider all of my options before returning to do business with First Hyundai.
I purchased a certified pre-​owned 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT in April of 2015
First of all, when I bought the car, the salesman promised me one thing, and then after I went through almost all of the paperwork, I was surprised with an entirely different figure. I almost walked out. I had to argue just to get the figure that we had already agreed on.
When the car was delivered to me, it was CLEAR that there had been no work at all on the car’s’ aesthetics since I had seen it on the lot. There was a sticky goo spot on the ceiling on the drivers side that I was easily able to wipe with one quick swipe with a wet paper towel. This proves that they did not even try to clean it up. There was also crumbs in the center cup holders, and it was clear the leather had not been detailed. I was also given only ONE key, despite the Hyundai standard promise that each Certified Pre-​Owned car would come with at LEAST 2 sets of keys. I had to call and complain in order for this to get resolved. If I hadn’t done my research, I would have been screwed over. This is not how it is supposed to be. I got my last car at Toyota of Dartmouth, who treated me like ROYALTY compared to First Hyundai. My next car will most certainly be purchased through them, even though i don’t even live down there anymore.
Unfortunately, at the time I purchased my vehicle, I was unable to drive it right away due to a health issue. I told the dealership I would not be driving for 6 months, and would not like to register the car. They still registered it so I had to unregister it and then pay to register it again, which was very inconvenient and cost me more than I wanted to pay. Also, apparently the dealership signed me up for the XM Satellite Radio trial, which I cancelled the same day because I wanted to wait and use it at another date. However, when I tried to restart my trial, XM told me that I was unable to do so because the dealership had started it 6 months ago. This is not necessarily the dealership’s fault, but they knew that I would not be driving the car, and still mindlessly went through their usual routine instead of customizing the process based on the customer’s needs.
A few months after I started driving again (this is now about 8 months since I purchased the vehicle), I discovered that the dealership had never gotten the car inspected! I had been driving around with no inspection sticker. Silly me thinking that the dealership would have done their job.
My latest trip for maintenance, I had signed up online and requested shuttle service (something they offer AND promote) during my wait time. When I got there, they showed me where the waiting area was. Really? What is the point of selecting «shuttle» if they are not even going to respect the choice once I get there? I ended up going out shopping with my fiancé rather than waiting in their sub-​par, crowded waiting area. When getting my car serviced at Toyota of Dartmouth, I always got the vehicle back in tip top shape. The mats were vacuumed, the leather cleaned, the interior would be spotless, and they ALWAYS ran it through the car wash for me. At First Hyundai, it was clear none of this had been done. They MAY have quickly wiped down the dashboard, but that’s about it. I also got a «coupon» to come BACK for a car wash. My time is valuable, it would have been nice to get it all done in one trip.

I got a flat on 495 and decided that I wanted to purchase a new car rather than put any money in to my 2008 Mazda.
While my experience with First Hyundai started out somewhat negative; Lindsey Iacabbo called me the next afternoon and answered all of my questions clearly and sympathetically so I returned that night to purchase the car I really wanted but had walked away from. On my second visit I worked with Mark Berman and he was amazing. He thoroughly went over the car that I planned on purchasing and took me out for a second test drive and made sure that all of my questions were answered. I hope he stays at First Hyundai so I can purchase my next car from him.
The next phase was financing and Mateo Riz worked some sort of voodoo and got me an amazing rate, much better than I anticipated! I walked in at 5:30 and Mateo and Mark worked much past closing time and I was able to leave with my new car that night! Mark helped me move everything out of my old car and went and filled the tank on my new car while I was signing the paperwork.
I will definitely be returning to First Hyundai for all of my service (it’s included in the purchase!!) and buying needs. Thank you to Mark and Mateo for such an amazing experience!

very typical dealership, the kind that will say kind things to make a sale. They tried to sell me vehicles i didn’t want. they’re also extremely aggressive to get you to their inconvenient location.
I wouldn’t recommend coming here, save yourself the long drive!

Saturday October 10^th we went into the dealership and came really close to buying. Mark was great, personable and listened to us. Of course they are required to get the sales manager there towards the end if you are hedging. After he shook our hands he asked us how much we paid for our cel phones? Really? Just because we decided we needed more of our own information as we’d just stopped in on a whim. He all but threw us out of the dealership saying — ‘Your’e not shopping just Go down the street then!’ Very rude, unprofessional and harsh. They ALMOST had a customer! We’ve bought two vehicles on a whim. Poor Mark, nice guy, his face was so red. Sorry his sales manager was the way he was. We’ll NEVER GO IN THERE again! The dance party music was SO loud we couldn’t think and had to go outside to have a conversation.

Not a happy camper. What should be an easy oil change turns out to be a battle with the service guy. WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE SO DIFFICULT???

I bumped them up to 2 stars, only because part of what happened to me (read the section entitled «the ugly», in the original review below the dotted line) was not their fault.
There was a recall on 2011 Accents, because of a switch that malfunctioned and made the third brake light malfunction intermittently. They did replace the switch at no charge.
But, of course, none of that makes up for the many other issues I listed below.

This review, is only for their service department. I bought my car elsewhere.
The good: friendly staff, clean establishment, and if you’re getting a lot of work done, they’ll have someone drive you home, and pick you back up. (If Unilocal allowed it, I’d give them 1 and a half stars, but these few good points, do not redeem this place enough to even bump them up to a 2)
The bad: they charge too much and take too long to do absolutely everything. They book more appointments than their mechanics can handle, and then, after you’re there for almost twice as long as they initially estimated, they apologize, assure you that your car will be ready soon, and you wait another half hour or so.
The ugly: On my most recent (and last ever) visit, they told me I needed to replace my third brake light assembly (not just a bulb, you can’t do that with the Accent, apparently), and it would cost me 132 dollars. Not only that, but they didn’t have the part in stock, so I’d have to pay for them to order it, and come back to have it installed.
All of that, irritated me, but, what else could I do? I said, «OK, order it».
The next day, I’m backing into a spot, in front of a reflective surface, and my 3^rd brake light was working!
I go in, tell them about it, they stutter, explain and excuse their way through a series of apologies, and tell me that I’ll get a refund in the form of a check, because you can’t give refunds directly to the card I used.
They said 7 – 10 business days. 3 weeks later, I got a check for 32 dollars. I called and told them that they still owed me another 100. After a few days of back and forth phone calls, they agree to send another check, they tell me it will be there in another 7 – 10 business days. 2 weeks and 1 day go by, no check, I call again, they make more excuses and say they will expedite the process of sending me the rest of my money.
Finally, a little over a month and a half after I first went to get the work done, I get back all the money they owe me.
Never again, will I set foot in this establishment.

Worst dealership in south eastern Mass. I can’t tell you how unprofessional, rude and obnoxious this dealership is. I will NEVER shop here again.

If I could give 0 stars I would have. Went in with my daughter who has excellent credit. They promised me one payment and then when we got to finance they tried to play games. Her credit is over 700 so it was BS. They then promised to have the owner call Hyundai Finance to get a better rate. Never happened. Went to Clay where they treated us like the VIP’s we are =). They are fans of her dad, former Patriot player so they gave her the VIP treatement all the way… unlike this dealer who the salesman James was rude trying to tell me to just give my daughter more money down for the car. I don’t think so!!!

Reading all the reviews i can see how that could happen. Luckily i dealt with a sales guy by the name of ish. Really friendly guy, didnt pressure me into anything, didnt have his sales manager jump down my throat when i said no to a trade in value or sit there and degrade me to buy a car like empire did. In fact this is exactly why i bought a car here.
When i first met ish, he brought me outside, showed me everything in the car, and talked person to person instead of salesman to idiot walking through the front door. I had already been to three other hyundai dealerships and was looking for a VERY specific color combo and trim. When i wentto the other dealerships, they had no clue what inventory they had and continually tried to put me in a car that was in stock. Ish was able to get me the trim i wanted plus the orange trim interior.
The only reason i give 4 stars is because i have to now go to the service center to fix a scrape in the front bumper. And the car is not even 24 hours old. I know for a fact it was not me as i noticed it right after i got home. With all the horror storys from the service department i cant wait to witness this myself, and i will change the review when i see what happens.

Please BE very careful if you are going to have anything to do with this dealership, especially in the service department. First Hyundai definitely rings true the old cliché. Dealershiops are out to screw you, it is true.
I have had to replace three (3) doorhandles on my 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Now, the handles were under warranty, and from what I can tell they did a very good job with those repairs. However, every time I was in there, again for a door handle mind you, I ended up with some kind of «service recommended» and the bill would be in excess of $ 300.00 or more. My questions were always: Why are you checking my transmission on a car with 50,000 miles and I have it in here for a door handle”?.. «customer Service» was always the answer. (which of course we all know is BS it is upselling). Anyway, I get it, it is how they make their money, trying to screw you as much as possible. The reason I say this with such conviction, it happened to me just today, and based on other’s reviews I can see it appears to be a trend here.
My 2010 Sonata driver side handle broke off (this is a typical problem with 2010 Hyundai) and I brought it to First Hyundai (again) because it needs to be at a Hyundai dealership and they are the closest to my house. Anyway. Last time I brought it in they replaced the handle relatively quickly and it was free (under warranty) but as I was leaving Keri (works in service) and has always been very proffessional and efficient, stated: «Looks like your battery is going to need replacing as well as your transmission fluid». I said I would do it at a later time and she had stated with winter coming I may not want to wait. Knowing a dealerships prices would be crazy I just said I would get back to her, knowing I would never go there. That brings us to today. I had started hearing a «clicking» noise when breaking and had a scheduled oil change with my mechanic I trust and asked him to check this out. I also asked him to check the battery and fluids. He called me when the oil change was done. He said my rear breaks, the rotars are «warped» and pads are about 50−60% worn. Now, I have NEVER had ANY work done on my front breaks. He said they are worn about the same as the rear. I had the REAR breaks REPLACED less that 1.5 years ago at FIRST Hyundai! How can rear breaks go TWICE before the front breaks even need to be touched? To top it off, my mechanic tells me the battery is perfectly fine, as well as the alternator and fluids don’t need to be touched. Had I listened to First Hyundai I would have dropped over $ 300.00 when I went in for a driver side door handle that was under warranty…
STAY AWAY! Some serious trust issues happening with this establishment.

I have brought my Sonata here a few times for service, besides the constant push to upsell, it was ok, until my last couple of visits. I will NEVER return to this place.
so the story goes: I brought the car in for an oil change over the summer and while I was waiting in the waiting area, a client facing service associate (not a «mechanic») approached me with a very dirty cabin air filter, that I was led to believe came out of my car. The associate suggested that I should have them change it. I declined because of the price and ease of doing so myself. No big deal.
next oil change in the fall: I installed a brand new cabin air filter myself less than one week prior to the oil change appointment.
Again, while waiting in the waiting area a service associate approached me with a VERY dirty cabin air filter suggesting that I change it. This cabin air filter was clearly not from my car since I recently changed it.
I balked at the associate and civilly expressed my displeasure. the sales associate instantly got defensive and threw his hands up, exclaiming that he’s only telling me what the mechanics tell him and clearly I am making an issue over nothing. The associate walked away before I could say anything else. I had to nearly yell, across the sales floor, to only perform the oil and filter change and cash me out.
fast forward to the most recent appointment (February 27, 2015):
I decided to give them another chance (stupid decision on my part).
again the same setup – I wait in the waiting area, sales associate comes out with a filthy, nearly black cabin air filter suggesting I pay them to change it. I lose it this time… clearly the «mechanics» in the service area have a dirty old cabin air filter lying around that is used to lie and scare customers into paying to change it. I angrily told the associate this and again he walked away mid sentence telling me «I have no idea what you are taking about»
when I was being cashed out for the oil/​filter change, I voiced my displeasure, and the asst service mgr Mr. Wilson (we share the same last name so I will never forget his name) stepped in and asked for an explanation of the problem. I explained, angrily, no swearing or vulgarity. I was told by Mr Wilson that «he knows his guys and we would never lie to a customer» and that I was 100% wrong.
I don’t pretend to be a car mechanic and will gladly pay for good service, but I am not stupid and understand when someone is overtly trying to dupe me and insult me.
this place is a slimy, joke of a place. Never go here. take your hard earned money and sanity to a reputable service station.

Use caution and stay away from a DEREK; a salesman that is NOT honest. I located a vehicle for my mother and worked out a good price. When the vehicle was picked up, there was a huge hole in the rear bumper. After calling my salesman Derek, he had the nerve to say that the hole in the bumper was there when they took it in on a lease and that I bought the car with that damage. He went on to say they «didn’t have time to fix it».
I KNOW this damage was not there when the car was purchased but I played along with Derek and asked why he didn’t point out the damage. Hey was extremely sarcastic and said that if HE feels the damage is obvious, he doesn’t point it out. Derek then proceeded to say DUH.
The «DUH» was really on Derek when I pointed out that as a previously leased vehicle, there MUST be a record of the damage. :). You never will believe what happened next… Derek and the manager retracted the statement regarding the vehicle coming in with the damage and then said it happened AFTER they took it in on lease and that since we got a good deal on the car, there was «NO ROOM» to fix it. This is the best lie they could come up with???
I asked for any record or picture that the bumper had the damage and they were unable to produce a single picture. My mom wanted to terminate the deal and the manager said «lady, this ain’t target, you can’t just return a car». The salesmen in this place look like they came from a bad pilot episode of the Sopranos.
The GM eventually agreed to fix the damage and gave us a reduced rate on the extended warranty since we were skeptical of their business practices and didn’t want to worry about what else Derek didn’t point out about the car. Considering the number of dealerships out there, I would seriously consider just going somewhere else, not worth the hassle. Remember stay away from Derek. Unprofessional, condescending and just not intelligent.
