Monkey Joe’s

I really want to give more stars because there are tons of pros to this spot! Bouncy houses, toddler area, its pretty clean, very affordable and safe. But for a few reasons i have to dock stars for now. I hope some things are fixed and i can improve my ranking. My 2 year old loves it so we will be returning for sure. So the major complaint i have is there are like 6 (or what seemed like that many) ppl working and everytime my kid needed help in a bounce house I had to go find someone. And sometimes they act like they are being bothered to do so. So yeah having someone at each bounce house and paying attention would be great! The other the thing is that a manager was very persistent with my friend with her two year old keeping his socks on. She kept putting them on him and he kept taking them off so yeah, he is 2. So that was sort of a bummer. But overall great experience, work on these things and I would def up the stars!

Not sure why all the bad reviews, take it from me, I have been to Jump Trax in Sharon, Launch in Norwood and seen plenty of other places like this and this place was clean and the staff was on the ball plus the place seemed newer. Granted some of the slides have seen better days, namely the Elmo obstacle course which looks worn out and needs to be retired. Other than that, the staff was helpful and the place was big and spacious and the kids had a lot of fn. There were a few arcade games as well but the slides were the hit and the price was right and you can slide as long as you want unlike other places with «sessions».

Up until today, I liked it there. Not love, but like. Which needless to say isn’t promising either. I went with my daughter and my friend and her 3 children. One being 3 months old. We start off in the first one bc two of the children were 2 and the oldest was 4, just turned 4. The place was actually quiet, compared to the last Sunday we were there. So the kids are jumping, I’m in there too for a bit. The I step out and the lady at the snack counter with the glasses (no name tag of course) looked like a manager type came over to us and informed my friend her daughter (the 4 year old) couldn’t play on the 3 and under one. Because she was 4. Just turned 4. We plead our case. She stood her ground. Fine. We get the kids together and go to the other bouncy houses so they could play together. I go to one in particular the my daughter and I love. So she goes on, so do I, and the kid who’s playing referee stopped me and told me I wasn’t allowed on. I go there to play with my kid. And I always do. Not today. So my daughter sees that I’m not allowed on, and comes back down a little nervous. She is two after all and some of those kids can get a little rough. The kid is just standing there. Not helping. Finally I’m say can you please get my daughter. I don’t want this unpleasant looking individual helping my daughter. Who would. She’s already a little nervous. I tell my friend what going on. Eventually we go back to the three and up and hope the warden lady leaves us alone. Nope. Here she comes. Cold. Stern. Lovely atmosphere she was creating here. She told my friend again etc etc. ok we are toting around 4 children. One in an infant carrier. Lady have some mercy for God sake. My friend stood her ground. She stopped bothering us but at that point the damage was done. Rude employees, terrible non hospitable atmosphere. And I can’t play with my daughter there anymore. So no. No more.

Although we came on a busy Sunday we only had to wait about twenty minutes to get in eventhough they were at maximum capacity. Although it’s a large space for a kid, We were surprised that there were only four bounce houses our five year old could use, and it’d be awesome if they had one just strictly for bouncing.
We had to sign a waiver for safety, yet some — not all — of the referees were inattentive and not looking out for the childrens safety. The mats in front of each bounce house were out of place and should be replaced because they are really worn down. Our daughter made a few friends and really loved this place and for the price we will be back again!

Could give a better review however for my 16 month old and my friends 18 month old this wasn’t the place to go! Though on the website it advertises that there’s a toddler friendly area… that’s all it is… an area. With maybe 2 toys.
The two under 3 year old jumpy houses… my son was still too little to do anything but stand in.
After 10 minutes of basically running around a big open carpeted room the lady at the front offered a refund which I thought was very nice. And off to «Kidz Wurld» we went!
In another year or two we would try it again though!

Only $ 5.99 for kids under 3. There are two areas just for under 3 set. I wish this area was a little more supervised/​the rule was enforced better. Every now and then a «ref» would come by to kick out the older kids, but it would be safer if they were prevented from entering at all by ref supervision. Very cool facility, 2.5 year old loved it and the younger refs were very sweet when interacting with her.

fantastic place for small children! relatively cheap price for the amount of enjoyment it brings to the kids…
there are a couple of bounce houses that are specifically for children 3 and under which is nice…
however — the referees that «supervise» the bounce houses are useless. my daughter is 2, and I watched her get trampled by older kids while she was trying so hard to get up a slide. the referees just sat back and didn’t intervene or do anything, which really pissed me off.

This is a great place for a rainy day with kids. You can get the jumps out. Good security. Be aware the only options for eating are hot dog, pizza, pretzel, popcorn and nachos. You are not allowed to bring in food. There is no fruit or vegetable option, not even juice.

I feel like a connoisseur of the «jumpy house» genre. I have taken my kid to a ton of these places for 4 yrs in the «Greater Providence area». Now, at 5yrs old, I felt she may be outgrowing our favorite place (see my other reviews), so someone recommended Monkey Joes to me, as it may be more suited for older kids…
Boy, was I underwhelmed.
There were only three «bouncy» activities for my kid to play on… another was out of commision and there were 2 reserved for children 3 and under. Outside these 3 apparatuses, there was really nothing else for the kids to do (unless you wanted to start shelling out quarters for video games). There was also something very «cold» about Monkey Joes, and I do not mean the temperature. It was a bit cave-​like with no natural light, and that warm family feel I got from some of the other places, was definitely missing. It reeked of a corporate joint. Honestly, it wasn’t awful but I may rethink giving my old standby another try.

The staff seemed great at the counter… the referrees seemed useless.
I LOVED how unique they were with the bracelets to make sure you were taking home the right kid… in this day and age it’s sad we have to think about something like that but you do.
I appreciated how clean it seemed… would have liked more for the 1 – 3 years of age group.

Yeah it’s crazy and great to poop the kids out but the staff at the counter does not need to be rude. The pimply faced young girl really needs to be fired. From her shitty attitude to her rude comments and her unhelpful attitude as well. Not a fan. She’s lucky I wasn’t the owner id fire her on the spot. Last year we had my sons bday party and it was great.

I also agree this place is Terrible. Parents do NOT need lounge chairs, or areas to rest. These children are UNSUPERVISED enough. Bratty children in the younger bounces, the irresponsible «referees» sitting on their behinds, all gathered at the front brushing their hair, texting and socializing with each other while the unruly children knock over the little ones. When mentioned to the staff, they blew it off and couldn’t be bothered. It’s unkept and dirty with pizza on the floor and trash throughout. Very disappointed,

Just had my son’s birthday party here, all in all it was a good time. A little on the pricey side, but the attendant did so much that it was worth the price. Stress free is for me after all the years of crazy party throwing. Minus one star because on the phone I said I wanted ice cream and no balloons, but they did it backwards. Even after telling them I was still charged for balloons. Whatever, the kids liked them.

After going to another jumpy place today it only reaffirmed my love for MJ’s. it’s clean which it’s a feat in its own for a kid centered venue. I love the security of both the parents and the children having wrist bands. We had my daughters birthday party here in March and it was great, the attendant was very helpful and it was stress free for Mom and Dad! Weekends can be a bit crazy but weekdays are wide open!

Let me first say that we came here on a Wednesday, mid afternoon. I would not attempt to come here on a weekend, at least not until my son gets a little older.
My son (age 16 months) had a BLAST! Huge smile ear-​to-​ear! How can you beat it — 6 bucks, he gets to run around and play with other kids his age for as long as he wants. I get to wear him out so he takes a nice nap afterwards, giving Daddy a break.
The place was super clean and well staffed for safety. Most of the parents I saw were keeping a good eye on their kids as well.
The section for kids 3 and under was great, however, because they weren’t busy, I got to bring him to the larger bouncy houses meant for older kids. MJ’s lets parents of toddlers into the bouncy houses to assist they’re little ones who aren’t too steady on their feet yet. Emphasis on «assist» — no bouncing.
They lost a star because of the food selections. Your not allowed to bring your own food, and I didnt see anything else within walking distance, so you’re stuck with their offerings. We didn’t bother eating because it looked… gross…like bad roller rink pizza and such. Of course, this is coming from a 40 year old food snob. I’m sure if i was 4 years old, I’d scarf that shit down and bounce until I puked without skipping a beat.
Can’t wait to come back!

Not impressed. We chose to go during the week, so it was not busy. It was great for my 6-​yr old, but for my 3 yr old… not so much. The layout makes it hard to keep an eye on your kids. It’s small for the amount of bounce houses. The main reason I wasn’t too happy was that the staff on the floor did not regulate who entered the age 3 and under bounce houses. Big, rough kids run in and out and knock over and even trample the little kids. Of course the older kids’ parents are no where to be found. If the parents are sitting in the «lounge area», they can’t see what is going on anyway.
The place is clean and okay for older kids, but don’t take your toddler here!

I’ve been here a few times and thought it was well worth it. It must be noted that I always bring my 18 month old during the week when it’s not busy. On the weekends I’ve seen lines out the door so I don’t dare try it then.
There are 2 bounce houses that are supposed to be just for kids 3 and under — and their parents :) Although I’ve never seen any employee keep an eye on who’s coming in. A few times we’ve had much bigger kids come in and nearly trample the little ones, but they quickly get bored by the baby sized activities and leave.
She loves the Sesame Street themed bounce house ALMOST as much as I love how much energy she burns on the days it’s too cold to play outside.

Great for the kids. But, bad for parents. This location, unlike Danvers is quite small with equipment everywhere. There is a small section for parents. But, on busy days, parents are all over the place, no where to sit or eat and blocking the pathway of kids. They either need to eliminate some equipment or relocate to a larger facility. No Pizza when needed. They need to buy when they run out. I wrote a complaint about this location without a response back. Poor customer service. A birthday party put tables and chairs from the facility to hold presents! Now, that’s really stupid. You take tables and chairs for people to sit to hold presents.
Overall, great for kids because they don’t care … but, for waiting adults, they need a place for us to hang out and not on the floor.

Had my Grandson’s 6^th birthday party at Monkey Joes and they did an amazing job. The cleanliness of the areas was very impressive. I like the fact that they use a disinfectant on the surfaces of the play areas.
Staff, facilities, amenities, etc. were all top notch.
I would definitely recommend this place for playtime or parties.

Bouncy-​house central. Great availability of kids amusements, and a good complement of amenities and considerations for families. Birthday party facilities, free Wi-​Fi, snack bar, mini arcade section, relaxation area for parents (and infants), as well as some computer stations were improvements on several pre-​existing area offerings. Also key is what Monkey Joe’s calls their Swisher Hygiene SWAT Program, which specifically details the germ-​fighting and cleaning regimen their staff regularly follows, which as any parent can attest, is something you’d hope for everywhere but get in few places. This is a a welcome addition to the rainy-​afternoon activity scene for kids, most definitely.
