Holy cow! Best French Toast anywhere; there’s nothing like it. And as a Yankee, I never appreciated grits, but the shrimp and grits are to die for. Staff was wonderful. Small and intimate, picturesque location, it’s a great place for friends and family, maybe not so much for young children.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. We had made reservations so seating inside was immediately available. No other open tables inside, so that would have been a wait if we didn’t make the reservation. Odd entryway: There’s no hostess station or counter, so you’re just standing in the open awkwardly. The outside seating area looks cute, we just couldn’t find the front door since it wasn’t obvious. Whoops! We had the French dip and the gyro. Perfect portions and they were both tasty. We were satisfied, but not blown away. I wish the dip had a bit more horseradish sauce and the gyro was a little dry. Fries were delicious. We skipped desert, but they looked delicious in the window. We enjoyed looking around the neighborhood. We’ll probably be back for brunch.

Dog friendly… great outdoor patio area. I usually eat here for lunch with my dog. He always gets a fresh bowl of water and dog biscuits. The staff knows him by name and are always excited to see us. Recommend the burgers, Ruben, and great salads from the garden right down the road.

Of all the eateries with out door seating in the CSRA this is by far my favorite. From the gorgeous views of recreated early American Architecture Homes to the authentic and creative dishes made from locally grown produce to finally the scrumptious deserts you just can’t go wrong. I had lunch hear and the afternoon sun was beaming across the patio like gold and orange beams of light from a brilliant grand stage light. Although when seated I was directed to the side where the sun had not yet reached and so I was grateful for the propane heaters that line this side. I started my meal with the New French Onion Soup and is much better than I anticipated. The palate was quickly overcome with the tantalizing flavorful creation. For the main dish I had the blackened trout on a multigrain roll and the side salad of fresh greens from their garden nearby. Everything was delicious. They bring freshly baked bread out before your soup and although I did not try it myself I was assured by my companion that it was warm and delicious. For desert I chose the Orio Cheese Cake and I must say I was grateful that it came with two forks because it was too rich for one alone. This cake was so good I almost wish I’d had it first. If you love cheese cake and easily spot the imitators or duplicators you will not be disappointed. Come hungry and leave beyond content with your meal.

This is one of my favorite places here! Found it by word of mouth and it did not disappoint. Every time my Mom travels in from CA this is our go to spot she is use to fine dinning not everything fried! My favorite time to go is a little later for lunch time site outside and enjoy great company and food. The staff has always been very friendly and have great stories to share.

The food is decent but nothing to really write home about. The only thing that I’ve ever really had luck with is their french onion soup, which is great! The 3 stars is for the price for the food and the service. The servers are nice and attentive but it always takes FOREVER to get the food. If you’ve got nothing but time, go ahead and go there. Otherwise you may be better off going elsewhere.

This was a really nice change. I’m absolutely in love with the neighborhood that this restaurant is in. On to the review. This place is a cute little quaint spot with inside and outside seating. Tonight was such a beautiful fall night to eat outside but we opted to eat inside because we reserved a table. The menu is small but the specials list offered just as much as the main menu. We were sure of what we wanted until we heard the specials. Mister chose the rack of lamb with mashed potatoes and veggies. I chose a sweet shrimp and peppered fettuccini dish with lobster fumet. Service was good. For an appetizer we ordered the Poutine a la Manuel– fries covered with gravy, mushrooms, onions, andouille sausage and cheese. Insanely good. Our entrees arrived and I was sad for hubby. Mister is used to healthy portions. These portions were lightweight. He loved his dish though and thought everything was fresh tasting and well prepared. I found my portion of pasta to be adequate. The shrimp were truly fresh and the fettuccini were quite peppery. I found my dish to be… an acquired taste. I don’t know if it was the lobster fumet or not but I can’t say I would order it again. It didn’t taste bad, just not something I’d order again. We decide to grab 2 desserts to go. Mister chose a sweet potato pound cake and I chose a slice of chocolate peanut butter cake. I’ve tasted a bit of both before writing this. The pound cake is good. It’s heavy but not too sweet — a plus. The other cake is perfect and moist without being too chocolatey sweet and the right amount of peanut butter taste. I’m definitely going back. I can’t wait!

I’m not an Augusta local but I can surely bet Maneul’s is probably one of the best eateries in the city. Well technically it’s not in Augusta, and is actually located in N Augusta SC. And that’s a good thing. The surrounding area is beautiful, with gorgeous houses and swamps. The restaurant itself is nestled in the stunning neighborhood and hence is free from too much traffic. The outdoor seating is great. The service is very friendly and our server was very down to earth. Good recommendations; Salmon burger. We did have the aged beef burger too and was quite good but the side salad wasn’t all that great. Cons; the fries had too much salt. The buns of the salmon burger had too much sauce. Overall a very nice brunch/lunch place.

This restaurant is in the cutest neighborhood in beautiful North Augusta. The ambience and great customer service added to our experience! So the food: We all split the fries appetizer which was yummy! My mom and I shared the Chicken Piccata, and the split plate was delicious and plenty of food, especially with dessert to look forward to! My sister ordered the Blue Clay Farm Salad and was disappointed with the variety of vegetables on the salad(expecting locally grown veggies, and received a salad with tomato and onion). She sent it back and ordered the French Style Greek salad, and really enjoyed it! My dad ordered the Tomato Caprese Salad and the French Onion Soup– he loved both. And my brother in law ordered a pasta of the day and said it was great! Dessert was delicious and we loved all of the cakes we tried– only negative comment is that the salted caramel cake is almost too salty! Overall, a great place! If you haven’t been to Manuel’s, go try it!

This is was my first time eating at Manuel’s Café. One of the members of my book club picked this restaurant for our monthly meeting. It’s tucked away in a nice little neighborhood. The restaurant is small and intimate. They have outdoor seating as well which would be nice when it’s not so hot or humid. Mary was our waitress and she was excellent! We enjoyed having her. She’s very knowledgable of the menu and gave great suggestions. I ordered the flounder and it was superb. The founder was very meaty. I subbed the rice for mash potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered dessert as well. You can either get a whole slice of cake or half a slice. I thought the half slice option was nice if you just wanted sample or didn’t want a big piece. They have a sampler that comes with 3 slices of cake and/or cheesecake. We went with the sampler. Sweet & Salty, carrot cake and plain cheesecake. The sweet & salty was to salty. We were able to trade it out for the red velvet. Which was rich and creamy. Overall I enjoyed the entire meal. I would definitely recommend and come back.

This place is tucked away in a quaint neighborhood. I had high hopes for this place as a brunch spot. However, we got there too late for the bottomless mimosas(served until 11am). I ordered a Bloody Mary and a salmon cake salad. I was disappointed with both. The Bloody Mary tastes heavily of cocktail sauce and not much else. The salmon cake salad was mediocre. The flavors didn’t quite come together for me.

This visit was a Unilocal Brunch Bunch gathering/event. Ambience/Décor: A This was my first visit to this quaint restaurant in a neat little community in North Augusta. We sat outside and it was a nice morning. It could get a little warm in the afternoons, but the good thing is that as the mid-day sum moves west, the outdoor seating is nice and shady. Service: B Service was good, but plates were not removed as we finished eating. Food Quality/Taste: B I had the Eggs Sardou. The food was flavorful, but the poached eggs were overcooked. I was hungry so I let it pass. I did like the unique idea of placing the poached egges on tender artichoke bottoms instead of bread. The side dish of fruit was nice and fresh. Price: B A little on the high side for food. $ 4 for good bottle beers was ok and expected. Mimosas were pricey, I am not sure if it was bottomless or not. Probability of a return visit: Highly Likely. Hoping to be a bit more impressed next time.

We had a Unilocal Sunday brunch bunch here today and i must say i was impressed. We all sat outside and the weather was great our waiter was friendly and fast. My meal was the goat cheese scrambled eggs with toast and fruit salad for $ 9.95. eggs were cooked just the way i liked them and fruit salad was great also and I had a choice of home fries or fruit salad but I was at another event the night before and still kind of full. The place is really great for a one on one or a group as we did today. Also on Saturdays they have a brunch buffet which i will try next weekend.

The area is enough for me to want to come back to this place. It’s beautiful and secluded. I got the Norwegian, which is a variation of the Croque Monsieur, but with smoked salmon. It was very different, but good. I will probably try something else next time. My friend got the burger special of the day and while it was pricey($ 18), she said it was delicious. Both were served with salads and the burger also included fries. Such a neat little place, can’t wait to go back!

Been here a couple of times. It’s great and very quant. The chef has an area farm that he grows his produce and raises some delicious animals… Fantastic atmosphere, food is good. Some if the specials are a little clunky. For instance the tri-tip sandwich. Being a transplant from CA where tri-tip is a food group, I have high expectations. It didn’t quite make it, however, their other offerings have surpassed the other local fair. Overall, it’s my favorite Sunday brunch spot!

What a surprise! Down the bend, around the corner, up the river, and into a Truman Show style town appears this place. The owner is hands on and has created a very nice place to eat with quality food. You can feel the French from his roots leaking into everything. We had a large group and sampled many areas of the menu and all were good. The wine list was also nice with a variety from old to new world and pricing that was reasonable. This will be a return visit. Oh when you go, you need to bring home some home made pepper sauce, wow, great stuff, made from the owners garden!

I made an early dinner reservation through Open Table to ensure we’d have time for a nice(not rushed) meal before heading to Bell Auditorium to see STOMP! We were immediately seated at a cozy table for two and offered waters. The beverage list was extensive with wines and beers, but we chose a nice bottle of wine since they were ½ off. We did a full sharing experience and got the Poutine Á la Manuel and Steak Au Poivre for Two. The poutine had their famous French fries, onions, mushroom, garlic, andouille sausage, Manuel’s special gravy and Gruyère cheese. The 30oz Certified Angus beef pepper crusted ribeye had cognac-peppercorn sauce and came with sides of au gratin potatoes, & farm fresh vegetables. It was cooked a little more done than my liking, but overall it was fantastic. Everything was delicious but a lot more food than we expected. Thank goodness for a to-go box! James was gave us great service — so friendly and helpful with the specials and menu suggestions. He was attentive and welcoming throughout our dining experience.

Had Brunch today, had a bit of a wait, however, it is always worth it in the end. I had an Eggs Benedict with a nice white fish as the meat, it was delectable! Cash had the waffle topped with syrup, whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries. With home fries and bacon. Complimented with a mimosa and a pomegranate wine spritzer. We sat outside and totally enjoyed all the pups the other folks had brought with them. An over all most pleasant experience.

I love that North Augusta has this culinary experience. They have a small but unique menu that is ever-changing. They also serve drinks and a have a selections of desserts. I have always enjoyed whatever I have gotten their. However, some of my friends were not satisfied with what they got. So it can be somewhat hit or miss depending on who your server is that day. Honestly, my favorite are their burgers and fries. They do not have them on the dinner menu but you can usually ask for them. But if you’re feeling a little bit more adventurous definitely try one of their entrees.
