By far one of my favorite coffee stops. Great coffee! The atmosphere and service is perfect. Great stop after hiking or biking the Snoqualmie corridor. Check out the other location if you’re on the east side in CleElum. Equally awesome.

Best chai tea in town! Cute location! Lovely servers! Definitely recommend this place! There is a small parking lot and some street parking. It’s also next door to a fun little store!

My family loves pioneer coffee shop. I recommend stopping by to enjoy a nice cup of java from a locally owned business. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is enjoyable. You can even enjoy a beer or nice glass of wine.

The place is cute. But sadly as much as I want to love this place. The coffee is just not as good as I would like it to be. It was better last year, but now it is tart, tangy even. I couldn’t drink my last latte and ended up just throwing it away.
The only reason I gave it two stars is that the girls who work there are so sweet and they bring up the value.
Parking is horrible. Seating is okay, but difficult for working since it is pretty busy because it is one of the only coffee houses in the area.

This place is amazing. Enough outlets around to work. Good coffee and every alternative milk choice (choose hemp) and really personable staff. Much better than SnoValley and kinder staff. Parking can be tough but that’s downtown North Bend!

This place felt like you were in Berkeley, CA! In a good way :)
We stopped in for breakfast at 6:30, one of a very limited number of places open at this time on the weekdays (the other was the bakery up the street). I enjoyed an ultimate breakfast burrito and juice, although the burrito was a little small, it was very tasty. I should have had 2! The scones are also very nice, don’t miss out on these!

Stopped through town to stretch our legs and get something to drink. Chose this coffee place because of the Unilocal review. The ladies were in the back room so I was at the counter for quite awhile before I was noticed. Mexican coffee was delicious but simply wished I’d been noticed sooner and/​or apologized to for the wait.

We really enjoy Pioneer in Cle Elum, so we wanted to give it a go in North Bend. Walked in without a single acknowledgement from the barista, and only one person was waiting so we figured it would be quick. In fifteen minutes she put two burritos in the microwave and pulled them out, and rinses two shot glasses. In that fifteen minutes not one word, still. The barista did not look at us nor the couple behind us even once. After twenty minutes of nothing we left. Literally the WORST customer service experience of my life. :(

Okay — I still love this place, but unfortunately to get that perfect cup does depend on who is behind the bar. All the baristas are great, but a few of them are AWESOME at their job. Wish it was always spot on, but the beauty and art of coffee is that it can differ from time to time. :)

A warm and comfortable coffee house in the heart of North Bend. I frequent Pioneer whenever I can have a lazy morning reading the paper or a good book with a cup of coffee. Pioneer is also my go-​to work-​away-​from-​home spot in North Bend and my go-​to meet-​a-​friend spot in the area.
The coffee is quite good. The baristas are excellent.
The food is also quite good. I’m a particular fan of the ultimate breakfast burrito, which has a nice balance of egg, bacon, sausage, and peppers.

Stopped in NewYear’s day before heading back to Seattle, after a day of exploring.
I should’ve gotten the lady’s name — curly, red hair. Very polite and made great drinks. Especially appreciated that it was nice and HOT. Sometimes I get these overly foamy, barely warm lattes in places, and it’s so disappointing. Nay, this cup was steaming and not like picking up a cupful of air if you know what I mean.
So combined with that good service, great coffee, and a very, very cozy and nicely decorated spot, I am a fan for life. It actually made me wish I lived in North Bend. I’ve been telling everyone to try it if they are in the area.
There’s also cool art for sale, and some cozy, fluffy, furry half gloves. Which I had to buy!
I do plan to be out East again, and will make a special side trip JUST for this place.

Quick stop on our way back to Seattle after hiking Rattlesnake Ridge. I immediately appreciated the friendly service and spacious seating.
Great espresso drinks. Americano had great crema and the beans were not over roasted. My sister had a latte with a great ratio of foam to milk to espresso. Ultimate breakfast burrito is tasty too. Obviously reheated which gave the tortilla a slight crisp which I enjoyed.
Would make a point to stop here again next time I’m in North Bend.
