Amazing. My boyfriend and I come here often. When the main sushi chef is there, maybe his name is James… well it’s amazing. One day he let us have a complimentary«Trump» roll. And now we are religiously back at this place. That roll is the best I’ve ever had in my life and you must go try it.

I usually love this place, but tonight we ordered take out and my Crystal Delight was anything but delightful. I got home stoked to chow down on one of the only safe rolls for a preggo to eat and it literally was just the tempura shrimp. No avocado, green leaf or cucumber. Called to complain and the punk kid on the phone tried to claim that they don’t carry that roll. Which is bull because they have avocado, cucumber and green leaf to put on the other rolls we ordered. Messing up is fine but don’t make up some BS excuse and tell us you’ll be more careful next time. How about a refund for your crappy excuse for a roll and for pissing off a pregnant woman with cravings. Fail trappers BIG fail.

Whack. Confused about all the 5 star reviews, but then I notice they have several locations. I’ve only been to the North Bend location and what a mistake. Spider roll has old grease taste. Salmon and yellowfin were very poorly put together, I mean falling apart bad. No finesse from these guys whatsoever. North Bend Trappers? I won’t be back and it probably ruined it for the other locations as well. If you can’t do your job well then find something else to do. We are used to eating a lot of sushi, a couple times a week on average. Not in this town. In North Bend we’re going to stick with a burger from NB Grill or else travel down the hill or to Snoqualmie.

Love it. Fast, fresh and CHEAP! Their HH deals are amazing(Sun-Thurs) but we don’t mind paying full price for their rolls. The location is a hidden gem in a shopping promenade, right across the outlet shops in North Bend. Though a chain, this place is just as good as the prime sushi joints in Seattle. There is no hustle and bustle to find parking and no waiting in line to get a table. Score! We always get the Puyallup roll! Try it, you’ll like it!

I was skeptical about an «all you can eat» sushi lunch(17.99) because I hadn’t worked out in a couple days – but it was raining pretty intensely, there was no one else in the place(lunch on a Thursday, I believe) and the chef, James, seemed eager to please. And boy, did he. We had a couple of the most popular rolls(Rainer, Trapper), a little side dish of seared albacore, the Timmy roll and then two«chef’s special» off-menu rolls. When your restaurant/chain has 60+(or was it 80+?) rolls to choose from, it’s not easy to create something new and impressive. but James did it. The fish was so fresh and everything was so beautifully prepared and DELICIOUS. Probably one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar and letting James work his sushi magic.

Could have been a 5 star… We walked in at 10 to 1:00 on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This was our first visit as we are not from the area and I was really excited to finally get some good sushi. We came with 2 kids under 2 years and I was really happy to see another family with kids and more to come. Takes the edge off if you’re a mom! The sushi was great. We got a Smurf roll, the Captain Crunch roll and the Samantha. All very good. The Samantha has real crab and scallops on top, while very good we unfortunately got a few shells. The service was great till the restaurant filled up. It’s a small place, but one server was not enough. It went from attentive service to not pretty quick. We didn’t get drinks refilled at all and it took a long time to get our last roll, but the server was trying and the guys at the sushi bar were pitching in whenever they could. I’d go back in a heartbeat though.

Not the best sushi in my life by any means, but it’s also not the worst. Got a lunvh special. It was okay… I can get better sushi in renton. The miso soup was good though.

Trappers is always amazing! Great service and a very nice place! Definitely was surprised to find it there since we only stop by North Bend every once in a while to check out the outlets or stop by for a quick coffee on the way to eastern wa. It was my entire family so we got a chance to try several rolls! Our favorite were the Willis, volcano and the Rainier! Everything was amazing but those definitely won! Everything was so fresh and tasty!!! Wish I had been able to take pics to show everyone!

Was I surprised to see a four star sushi restaurant in North Bend! We had sushi at a very expensive restaurant in Bellevue just the night before, and we hoped to erase the bad experience. We are glad we did. They have an all you can eat sushi bad for $ 26.95, but we don’t prefer buffet style; we don’t want to over eat. We ordered miso, baby octopus, and a sushi and sashimi combo plate. The rolls look great, but I really just wanted some raw fish and rice. I cannot say it’s the best I’ve had, but it was all very good and well worth the price. We will return for the rolls.

We went to the one in Auburn and were blown away by the bar experience. We thought we’d stop by here since we were in the neighborhood for some All You Can Eat Sushi. Turns out, service and quality of food is just as exceptional. We mostly ordered rolls that contained raw/nigiri salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. All the rolls were really delicious and fresh. Some of the sushi rice was not that fresh tasting, but the quality of the fish definitely override the rice. We had some nigiri(salmon, tuna, yellowtail, etc) and they were delicious! The salmon and tuna were the best. Salmon melted in your mouth and tasted super rich and fatty. The tuna was also rich and melted in my mouth, an experience I usually don’t get with tuna. And, the tuna didn’t taste fishy as well. Great quality. Staff were attentive, asking for our next rolls and etc., and make them quickly. Sometimes when you go to an AYCE restaurant, the quality sucks and the service is meh. But Trappers at North Bend were amazing and the quality stood out for me. With the $ 30/person.

My favorite trappers of them all! I love going to this restaurant! They are kind of out of the way from where I live, but anytime I’m out in North Bend I make it a point to come here! It’s that good! I always get the Trapper roll — it never disappoints! They have all you can eat(if your really feeling hungry) as well as specials almost every day, so look for those! Great deals here and great food! I’ll definitely be back, this place is what North Bend needed!

This place is absolutely amazing! This is my first time on the west coast and I am so happy to have been introduced to such an amazing sushi place. I plan on moving to Washington in the next two months so I will 10000% be back after my experience today! A group of us went in for the all-you-can-eat sushi — I’ve never heard of this but it is GENIUS! To be able to get the all-you-can-eat you have to sit at the bar. It wasn’t a busy hour so we were quickly seated and started our mouth watering journey. It wasn’t just the delicious mouth watering sushi that was served — but the service! Our sushi chef(I have no idea if that’s the correct term) James — was an absolute love! He just kept making us sushi that he thought we would like and he would hit the nail on the head every time. Even a friend of ours who does not like sushi and is very picky about it loved his suggestion to her. He gave us such good service that I tipped 50% — he was super friendly, creative, and personable and you could tell he loves to do his job and make his customers happy. If you can ask for him specifically or sit where he chefs at I would definitely recommend it. He is the kind of person you want to take care of you when you go out to a sushi place. Thanks for the A+ amazingly wonderful experience guys! Keep it up!

I am always skeptical of all you can eat sushi, for fear that I will pay too much for poor quality, but Trapper’s is amazing! Wonderful service, and even better sushi. The Chefs are very friendly and attentive to folks at the bar. They prepare food quickly and it’s always better than expected! The All-you-can-eat menu is only served at the bar where you order sushi by the roll. Each plate has 8 – 10 large pieces with very high quality seafood. With the quality of food at Trapper’s, I would say that each plate would cost close to $ 10 at a place like Blue C Sushi(where you serve yourself and get mediocre sushi). So, by my estimation it only takes a few plates to get your money’s worth at lunch(which only costs $ 17)! I live in Kirkland and drive out to North Bend specifically for Trapper’s! Best Sushi ever!!!

I’m a total Trapper’s addict!!! I can’t get enough of the place! My favorite role = marvelous! My husband is addicted to STP. The tempura is also VERY good! Also, if you haven’t tried mochi, it is also really yummy. I recommend strawberry.

You know what, this place just shows you that you can have a good quality sushi restaurant 30 miles away from Seattle! Sure, it’s a chain. But I’m a fan. The raw sushi seemed fresh, the servers and sushi chef were so nice– Josh was a sweetheart. It seems like he gets orders yelled at him, rapid fire, yet he keeps his cool, makes the rolls in a timely manner, and got all of our orders right. There’s a lunch and dinner sushi buffet. You can also do ala carte. My recommendation, if you are hungry, and by hungry I mean at least 3 rolls hungry– get the buffet. We got the dinner buffet bc I wanted nigiri and a soft shell crab. It’s so worth it. Overall, we will definitely be back. They only do all you can eat at the bar which can get a little crowded.

Trapper is our favorite place to stop for Sushi. Always super fresh and oh so good! My favorite is the Mt. Rainier, Jon likes the Trapper, Landon loves the Warrior, and Lowell is still trying to figure out which one is his favorite.

I was surprise that there was a Trappers out here, but I figured that I give it another try even though I had Trappers at a different location yesterday. When we arrived there was no lines because we came in the off hours, but we still sat at the bar for the happy hour. I think it was 3 rolls for $ 22? Pretty good price for the size of the rolls. Two of the most memorable rolls would have to be the Warrior roll and the Trump roll! I would honestly come back here to eat just those two rolls. They were just that good! On top of the quickness of the rolls, the service was excellent! So attentive! I wouldn’t mind making the drive just to come back to dine here.

A solid 4 stars for Trappers Sushi! Some gal pals and I(after hiking) decided to give Trappers a try. I am so, so happy we did! I had heard so many good things about Trappers from people who have tried the locations down South so I was super stoked to hear one was coming near when I liked to hang out. We rolled in around 815(the close at 9) and easily found a spot at the bar. See — Tuesday nights are all you can eat for $ 20 but only at the bar. Great deal right?! Right! Anyhow, we had to get our first order in by 830 so after a frantic search of the menu we decided on the Amazing Roll and Amazing it was. My other girlfriend ordered the Mt. Rainier roll which was also super good. Those two rolls were our favorite of the night! Let me see if I can remember everything else we tried… Volcano Roll — YUM! STP — This was not my fav. The cilantro sauce was pretty strong. Uncle Steve — not my fav. My friends said this was SUPER spicy to them which I didn’t taste Zucchini Roll — YESPLEASE! Asparagus Roll — good, but not as good as the zucchini Covington — this was my 3rd favorite roll of the night Our chef, James was awesome! He was fast, and friendly, and gave us great suggestions to try next time we come in. Next time though, we’ll try to get there a little earlier as to not have to rush as much and to hopefully avoid the sushi coma that came with eating so much in a 30 minute time period.
