The food, while it wasn’t anywhere near the best BBQ I’ve had, isn’t the reason for my 1 star review. I give the food abut a 3, and the fact you can«make it a meal»(2 sides, no drink) for $ 4 extra is annoying(especially because they barge $ 2.50 for a drink!). The young cashiers are about as rude as they come. Our food was tossed at us onto our table and as my waffle fries danced across the dirty table I received a nice«eye roll» from the female staff member. This same individual literally harassed us when we said we only needed 1 drink(mind you these large beverages are totally shareable). So who cares?! Perhaps if your«make it a meal» deal included what a typical meal does(a drink) then staff wouldn’t be so perplexed. I felt bad for the young man working with the 2 catty girls who cared more about gossiping than taking customer orders. The food was cold, put together very sloppy and I wasn’t offered another batch of fries when Ms Bad Attitude spilled mine. The tables around us needed cleaning and sat dirty the entire time we were there. $ 30 wasted — should have paid more for a better experience elsewhere. I’m sure the original owners had a very different vision for this restaurant chain than the awful service and cold food we received.

Until recently I never heard of this BBQ chain. It’s a chain that started in Texas and is now expanding to MN. It’s very unassuming in appearance and is like a Chipotle for BBQ inside. You stand in line to place your order, get your drinks and sit down. Most definitely a fast food BBQ joint. HOWEVER!!! STOPINANDTRYTHE Q!!! Seriously, I was not expecting BBQ this good coming out of a strip mall fast food looking BBQ chain in rural MN. And do try the fired okra.

I was craving some ribs, walked in and they were out of their ribs… Understndable being it was 2 hours before closing. Had the beef and pulled pork. Both were delish. Enjoyed all of their bbq sauces. Was disappointed in the fact that they offer free soft serve ice cream and before we were done with our meal they were already emptying the machine. We didn’t get our dessert.

Enjoyed very tasty smoked brisket & pulled pork plus the dill potato salad was amaze balls. I tried their traditional & the spicy Bbq sauces, both were good, I liked the traditional sauce overall, although the spicy was good too, not just heat(as I think tends to happen a lot) but good flavor too. Def will return for the brisket salad that I didn’t see until I ordered.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit can work in a pinch. I needed a meeting spot for a 15 minute discussion off of the 35 freeway and of the very few spots actually reviewed in North Branch, Minnesota this was rated highest. After reading the reviews I expected a sit down affair with wait service but this is a fast casual. Hardly a deal killer, especially in the world of barbecue, but a surprise all the same. Another surprise was that Dickey’s is a nationwide chain with literally hundreds of locations from coast to coast. Who knew? The menu is what I would call cliché Barbecue and offers everything you would expect and perhaps a few you wouldn’t. I decided to go old school and get the 2 Meat Plate with Beef Brisket and the Turkey Breast. For sides I chose the Potato Salad and Waffle Iron Fries. The meal cost roughly $ 12.00 once the yellow bucket they give you for soda is factored in. That is reasonable for barbecue in my opinion. The Brisket was all bark and no bite. The penetration ring was actually quite evident which of course is a wonderful thing, what wasn’t was the dryness of the meat. The smoky hickory flavor was a blast to the tastebuds but I was downing copious amounts of soda to get it down. Sadly the Turkey offered only a marginal reprieve from the dryness of the brisket. Again, the smoke was on point but the moisture was totally out of whack and jerky-esque. Sauce can overcome the dry meat, but that is always a disappointing last resort option. The sides were fries and potato salad. Both are hard to totally screw up but both can be amazing if done right. And. both were perfectly serviceable and perfectly forgettable. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit served purpose in the end but I am not exactly clamoring for it again. Considering its locale I imagine competition is low, so it will have to do for the citizens of North Branch, MN.

Came in on the weekend to try it, got the half rack with some sides. Ribs were dry and tough, sides lacked flavour best thing were the green beans.

Visited for the first time. The food was fabulous! However, if I am paying those prices, I expect better service. The employees and manager were not very friendly. They seem unsure of themselves. The manager was distracted with his phone. It took quite a while to actually get our food. I would visit again and give them another chance.

Wonderful REALBBQ! All of the food was exactly like the bbq I had while living in Texas. Franchise owner Rick was so nice and made sure to say hello to my husband and I and ask how we liked our food. Wonderful place, they even have free ice cream, although we were too full from our delicious pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches to have some. Great REAL food! Don’t waste your time heading to a fast food place, go to Dickie’s and you will be 100 times more satisfied.

Friendly employees, clean shop. Food tasted fresh. The problem — the sauce. If you don’t like the sauce it is hard to like the entrée. I tried the original and the sweet — both had way too much smoke flavor to it.

I’ve stopped 3 times. First, I got a pulled pork combo, the sides were lacking flavor and simply dull, the roll was tiny and didn’t make a sandwich. Second I got a pound of pulled pork to take home, this was a better choice. The third time I stopped they were out of what I wanted to order so I walked out.

I have only been here twice and purchased the same thing both times – 2 pounds of pulled pork. They do a very solid job with the pork. Great smoke flavor and very juicy.

First time here. Meat had a nice smoke to it. Had the pulled pork sandwich. Very good. I would go again. Great sauces to choose from.
