Ordered the chicken tikka masala and andhra chicken. I thought the food was very good. Had to knock a star off due to the service. Placed my order online at 1pm, at 2pm someone called me saying they couldn’t deliver until 3:30 because of a party they were having. Said I could pick it up if I wanted. So I asked, when will it be ready? I was told anytime. So that leads me to believe they would have left it sitting there until 3:30.

This is probably my most favorite Indian restaurant of the area. The special ispice chicken is just amazing and gulab jamun is so fresh (not like the readymade ones you get in tins) !

Delicious though a little choppy service and presentation. Mango lassi was amazing… have to mention that before I forget.
Got samosa appetizers and a fried cauliflower app also. Both delicious but served without any kind of sauces like green chutney or something. Odd.
Here’s were there were some issues. They brought one of our main dishes out with the appetizers?! It was delicious and we were sharing, but it really would have been a lot better with the naan we had ordered and wasn’t out yet. We finished the apps but the other main course and naan just wasn’t coming. The food so far came out very quickly but it was at least 15 minutes before the naan and other main dish came out. Just not acceptable timing.
The second dish came with rice. It was delicious and perfectly prepared but a little lacking in breadth of flavors.
So everything we did get was delish (and that mango lassi!!) and they were friendly if not timed well, so I’m going to stick with the 4 stars for now. Will definitely return and decide whether to go to three, but overall enjoyed the meal which was not overpriced.
Also, note on Sat night we were the only people there around 6:45 but after 7 a lot of parties started coming in. Also, they are advertising Wednesday night dinner buffet which sounds pretty awesome to me. Maybe that will be my second visit.

Went for lunch with friend. I haven’t been there in quite awhile. Decided to try it again. We had gotten there early as they were still setting up the buffet which I didn’t know they do, bonus. We were told to wait a little bit till the food had gotten a little warmer??? Eventually more customers showed up. There were many choices veg n non veg. It came with Naan bread which was delicious. Ordered mango lassi still creamy and yummy. So many different choices. Spice was perfect. Some things were still a little cold but i suppose the longer you’re there the warmer it gets. For dessert I saved a little room for galub jamon. So fresh and light, not heavy and greasy. Syrup was light and not overly sweet. Would definitely come back if I’m in area again.

After a long day of visiting family and hanging out, all I wanted was some comfort food which, for me, is Indian food :)
I checked Unilocal and iSpice had great reviews and a cool name, so we decided to check it out. We ordered saag paneer, chili paneer, chana masala, and some naan to-go. The food was reallly good and satisfying! I really liked the spice level and the freshness of the paneer.
Would I come back? Definitely when I’m back in the area!

I’ve just eaten there for the 2^nd time and the food was as tasty as the first… which is to say the flavors were incredible. I tried a few appetizers (the cauliflower one was mmmmmmm) and a few dishes (both a chicken and a lamb in their respective sauces). The chicken sauce had a little kick to it but I would still consider it mild. The lamb sauce was mild. (We ordered mild… so this is all good… I am sure they can spice things up for those who want it).
Finally the dessert (Galub Jamon) was the right flavor and sweetness after such a flavory meal.
I wish they were closer so they could deliver to me. But I’ll be back for sure.

$ 14 lunch buffett in NJ is pretty legit.
with about 15 selections to choose from (Veggie, Chicken, Goat, 2 desserts).
Place is small about 20 tables available.
Food is pretty good, and pretty Spicy.
(PS IF you see on Groupon or their FB for deals… USE IT!)

Forget how silly the name sounds, which was what I thought whenever I used to drive past this restaurant.
One Sunday afternoon, my sis and I were really craving Indian food so we stopped by iSpice, and had the lunch buffet. I’ve frequented a bunch of Indian restaurants with lunch buffets before and have to say, this place really takes the cake. Service is good too. Boy, I could just keep eating — the food was so freaking delicious, you gotta get here and try some.

I placed an order online to pick it up. The order said my food would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant in 30 minutes and the food was ready, a good start. I did not get a great look of the surroundings, but it seemed solid.
I ordered the lamb vindaloo ($ 13.95). I ordered it spicy. The meal also came with a side of white basmati rice. I did not think there was enough rice for the amount of lamb that was given. There was a good amount of lamb and potatoes in this dish. It was beyond spicy, which is what I wanted. The lamb was tender and the spicy sauce was tasteful. My only complaint was the lack of rice provided with the dish and the price tag.
Will I go back? Easily.

I will totally admit that I was a bit judgey when it came to first appearances about ispice. From the outside it looks sad, small, and nothing impressive. However, I had a groupon and the fiancé and I were craving Indian and he assured me that this place was worth my time.
He did not let me down. We were the one and only table in the restaurant but I believe that was completely understandable as we were there on the Monday of Labor Day weekend. As such, service was on point. We started with the chaat. Then I had the lamb vindaloo (opting for them to tone down the spice just a tad) and the man had chicken with some kind of garlic and spinach sauce (he can’t handle spicy). Obviously we got some garlic naan because why not load on the carbs?
Let me say this. The lamb dish truly knocked my socks off! So flavorful and tender. I couldn’t stop saying how much I enjoyed it. The chicken dish was very yummy too and my fiancé couldn’t get enough. We stuffed ourselves and obviously had no room for dessert.
I am no Indian food expert, however, I will absolutely be back to ispice soon bc it satisfied my craving to the max. For me this place was well above average Indian. Definitely glad I didn’t continue my judgey streak and pass ispice by…

I bought a groupon deal for ispice and when I showed them before our meal the server said ok and didn’t seem to mind, care or treat us any different than if we didn’t have one. We ordered a bunch of stuff from and everything was good. Even they’re green sauce was the best I’ve ever had.

Hyderabadi dum biryani (chicken biryani)
All of it was good. If I had pick a least favorite it would be the chicken biryani.
Even though there’s a few different Indian rest around me and ispice is a 15 min drive away from where I am I would visit again without a coupon.
