It is what it is. DIG in the Park is typical American bar. One asset is the amount of seating they have. The drinks and food are all pretty typical bar food: fried pickles, chicken tenders, burgers, salads, sandwiches. We went on a Wednesday for a quick drink before going to a concert at Riverfront Park. It was a good crowd for a Wednesday. My friend and I had a few beers and split a $ 5 app while enjoying the beaming sun. Service could have been much better. We waited a while looking for our waitress for a check. Once we got the check, we waited another good bit for it to be picked up. Overall, this is a mediocre bar and a good area for some coworkers or friends to meet up for a casual drink.

I had a great experience for my first time at Dig. I went in for a late night snack after a movie, and had wings and a beer. The restaurant can basically do only friend items for their late night menu, but their wings are delicious. There numerous different flavors to try. The wings are also cheap and they do combination flavors. Try the Paprika. The bar staff was extremely nice and since they were slow gave us a lot of suggestions for a future visit and just chatted with us. The place has an extremely large patio and a very inviting atmosphere.

The bar was very full but the bartenders were great! Very friendly and down to earth. The live music and trivia kept us there awhile… but that’s not necessarily a bad thing either! It’s a great idea to keep people at your establishment longer. The trivia game gave out three prizes at the end which were gift cards to your next visit! I got a couple beers and a turkey avocado wrap. The wrap was very good and I couldn’t stop eating the fries. They were perfectly cooked! I’d visit this place again. Lively, fun, good food and cold beer. Can’t ask for more than that.

This is a pretty chill spot to grab a burger and have some drinks. There is live music and the food is decent. Our waitress was fast, friendly, and attentive. There isn’t much to not like here. I recommend this place as a good hangout to get your weekend on with friends and family.

My boyfriend and I went here on Cinco De Mayo because they have advertised live music and pinatas in addition to some food and drink specials. We weren’t looking for much but I have to admit the service was nothing short of disaster. We arrived at about 6, sat down and got our drinks in about a normal amount of time. But getting food was near impossible. I understand it’s busy and a special event, plus this isn’t a formal dining place so you need to expect it to be more casual. But it took somewhere around 45 minutes for us just to get a food order in. Other customers around us were having similar issues and one couple got up and left. Then, no music or anything else appeared. This was a fairly big disappointment. We waited until about 7:30 and there was no sign of anything. If things were supposed to start later then it should have been advertised(a sign said 7). IT was the entire reason we went and then why we patiently waited so long instead of leaving. Based on the service it was more like a one or two star experience– but I’ll give it three because the outdoor seating makes for a pleasant atmosphere, the food is cheap, and if you are really really laid back, not hungry and have no place to be, it’s a fine place to go and hang out with friends(okay once I wrote that all out it sounds worse than I thought). We couldn’t help be leave with a bad taste in our mouth since getting the check also took a while. Even for people who weren’t in a rush the whole experience was was off from any normal expectations.

I love the atmosphere and the staff here but the food has never been great. I last ordered yesterday and the food was just bad.. I had a to go order and the chicken wings were bloody. My medium tenderloin salad was well done. I had to finish cooking the wings at home so I could eat them. The staff has always been great with any problem we have and I love the bar and atmosphere there. It just isn’t a great place to eat.

I like the atmosphere here I was with a co-worker and a customer(his decision) and it wasn’t bad. I like the outdoor seating area. Plenty of room to hang out. The food was pretty damn slow to arrive. We ordered a salad and two sandwiches and it was at least 30 minutes on a Tuesday lunch to get things. The food was good but not great. My wrap was mostly wrap with fillings incoherently thrown about. I would try once more here, service was good, but the food and timeliness of order reception needs to be improved.

The food is all clearly frozen and in boxes before being expertly heated up. For a small container of salsa that came out of a jar picked up at a grocery store, it cost $ 4. For $ 7 you can get queso dip that was mass produced and canned in a factory no where near where you’re eating it. I’ve been to some of the specialty taco restaurants Downtown and their hand crafted tacos are cheaper than the ones offered here. This was the most expensive frozen food section I’ve ever seen. The only redeeming quality was the selection of beers they had on tap.

The shrimp appetizer brings you a lot more than you’d expect for the price, and is pretty solid. The suicide wings have a good amount of pop to them, that’s about where the pros end. There’s just no excuse for a burger and some bar food to be a two plus hour experience. I think the waitress did what she could but the place just drags to levels that seem almost impossible. You want to bring cheese fries that look they came from that«aw, dude, no» prepackaged section of Food Lion, cool, but I shouldn’t miss a birthday while I’m waiting for them. The result simply isn’t worth how long it takes to get it, AppleBees serves crap too but at least I can get it in 30 or so. On the plus side, there was a creepy fedora guy.

For a bar and grill this place is definitely five stars and here’s why: The food is quick, and tasty. I had the Michael Phelps fish and chips and the sauce is clearly made in house and AWESOME. The bar selection is broad and the service is perfect. Also the TVs inside make it a great place to catch the game. I have heard that their are a couple daily events each week that are also worth attending. Last thing is the indoor and outdoor seating. Although it is a tad cramped inside, outside seating definitely compensates and adds a beautiful patio setting to enjoy your meal or beer with friends and family. Definitely a good choice especially from a local.

On a nice day the seating outside is perfect compliment to the great food served here. Inside plenty of sports viewing pleasure while you munch on tasty food prepared fresh. This place has something for everyone to eat from sandwiches to full meals. Lots of cool drinks to enjoy also. This time a coworker and I sat at the bar since the place was packed. Good to see people enjoying the outside. Our food was extremely late coming out of the kitchen but well worth the wait. Service otherwise was spot on.

DIG was the start of the Brain Squasher PUB Crawl. They had several taps of special brews from Holy City just for this event. This venue is a great place to meet friends and grab a drink. Great outdoor area with ample seating and firepits! Always gets ecclectic the later it gets.

If you’re just looking for a place to grab a beer and sit outside then this place will do in a pinch. The service is friendly but not very attentive, the menu is basic bar(wings, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches), and the beer list is decent. The patio is definitely the place to sit, the inside being very dark in comparison and not the cleanest with sticky tables. My burger was uninspired and waaay overcooked, I asked for medium rare and got a well done burger. Fries were good but nothing special, the honey mustard tasted watered down, and the bbq pork definitely did NOT taste like it was smoked in-house like the menu stated. In addition to all of that they had a season beer listed that the server stated they’ve never in fact ever had… so cross it out. The thing that almost gave this place a one star was that the bathroom was small and gross, smelling like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. The one highlight was the cool buns they used for the sandwiches, being branded with the name on the top.

Always a fun experience at Dig. Best time to go is during the week for happy hour. Great bar eats and happy hour pricing! And if you get a beer on draft check out the bottom of the cup. It’s kinda neat how they utilize their draft beer machine. Perfect spot after a day at the office! And dog friendly!

Oh my gosh, how am I only discovering DIG now?!? This is a wonderful sports bar, with a huge deck full of boisterous people and a live band playing all evening long. The service is friendly, and fast. The drinks are strong. The food is super high quality for an «American Sports Pub». I was in with a party of four. We ordered a baked pretzel. Three of us ordered burgers and one person got the buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was AMAZE-BALLZ!!! The burgers are huge, and oh so juicy. I hade a blacken spiced burger with fried onions and blue cheese for $ 9.50. It came with lettuce, tomato and a side of fries. It was a gi-normous patty, and even though I tried hard to eat every delicious bite, alas my tummy was too small. So to recap: quality food, good prices, fabulous sports bar atmosphere, live music on the deck, and friendly service: what’s not to love!?!

So this place has been party central for St Patricks Day festivities. This year didn’t disappoint. The rest of the year this place is just as amazing. They have a great happy hour crowd. Their outdoors is larger than inside and the best place to enjoy warmer weather. This place is a great place to meet friends and groups of people.

This is a great place if you are a regular. They roll out the red carpet. I’ve been with a friend who frequents and it was great service. However, the two times I have been otherwise, it was like being invisible. I felt like getting my own drink and ringing myself up. Painful. I also requested a drink light on the alcohol and the snarky bartender said«you still have to pay full price.» I wasn’t looking for a discount buddy. I’ll pay double for your trouble. Just trying to avoid a DUI. Somehow, I’m the Duchess.

On November 9, 2014 at approximately 1300 hours I, Dante G., responded to DIG in the Park located at 1049 East Montague Avenue, which is in the city of North Charleston, in reference to lunch. Upon arrival I immediately noticed that a moderate crowd had gathered in the area of then outdoor seating. I, along with Tom H., Becca H., and Elly H., secured an observation point under a covering along the O’Hear Avenue side of the property, which is attached to the exterior bar along the east side of the property. We made contact with Sarah, our server. She provided us with menus and advised that the brunch menu was still active until 1400 hours. After extensive consideration, orders were placed. Tom H. Ordered a Hammerin’ Hank, Becca H. ordered a meatball sub, Elly H. order Mac and cheese(kids meal), and I went with the Hangover biscuit with a side of fries. The Hangover Biscuit consisted of a butter milk biscuit topped with grits, chicken, bacon, fried eggs, and a cheese slice(see attached photograph). It was served with sausage gravy. It was phenomenal. I really wish I had gone out drinking the night prior so the name would have been more appropriate. Tom H. Advised his burger was not cooked to order. He prefers his burger more rare. It is an issue throughout the restaurant industry that no one cooks his burgers as rare as he prefers. Other than that, he was pleased with his meal. Becca H. Was not pleased with her meatball sub. It was her observation that the meatballs are factory made and shipped frozen. She likes fresh balls. Elly H. offered no information. She’s four. End if report.

Precious wanted to eat outdoors on this lovely Sunday morning and suggested DIG, which had not made much of an impression on me on previous visits when they first opened a couple of years ago. I’m glad she did. DIG in the Park has stepped up their game! The weekend brunch menu’s Hangover Biscuit grabbed Precious’ attention, while I tried an 8 oz mushroom burger off the regular menu. Both were excellent, and I really wish the server had not referred to the Hangover Biscuit as «heart attack on a plate» because there was none left, and there should have been considering how huge it was. Of course, I helped, so I made myself leave some of my burger and fries to assuage my guilt. I’ll post a picture of both. The biscuit oozes goodness, and we both loved the brand mark on the burger’s bun. Very good crowd for a Sunday morning brunch in North Chuck, with live music and a nice selection of beers. We’ll be back. Hell, probably next weekend.
