LL Bean

This is the second L.L.Bean Outlet I have been to and I have to say that once again I am less than impressed.
I have said this in other reviews but when I think of an outlet store my mind jumps to the good old days when you would wander through a shop, find oddly sized or slightly damaged brand named items for a fraction of the cost. Surprise… those days are over.
This «outlet» store consisted of old merchandise that wasn’t sold in their larger stores or online at a slightly lower price. We looked at some backpacks that had misspelled names on them that were marked down $ 7 from their original sales cost. Come on… for the $ 7 I will buy a new one with my name on it.
The rest of the store was normal merchandise at a slightly lower price. This included a variety of clothing items, shoes, as well as outdoor gear. In the end we walked out empty handed because we prefer to spend the extra few dollars to get a new item with their lifetime guarantee. This store doesn’t offer that luxury since the items are «outlet.»

One of my favorite places to visit whenever I’m in the North Conway area!
As an avid hiker and camper, it’s important for me to find good gear, and coming to this outlet, I have never been disappointed.
Everything is very well organized, and everything is so cheap, which is perfect for a college student like myself!
My best purchases to date have been shoes (a few pairs), some quality sweaters (not even for hiking — just to have because it was such a great deal), and a few tote bags.
As it is an outlet, there are tons of monogrammed and personalized items. If you’re fortunate enough (like myself), you might find your own initials :)

When I visit NH I am always excited to hit the outlets! That also includes the LLBean outlet. I always walk in feeling excited, but then I take a look around and remember that it is impossible to find something that fits. Shoes are VERY un-​organized. You will be lucky to find anything your size (that you like) in shoes. Not very pleasesd. Would not necesarily reccomend this place.

Nice place and found a few real good deals. But why sell a backpack for dogs which is not typical or LL Bean brand. Also there hours we off and not accurate when we called.

This is an LL Bean Outlet, so it’s definitely the type of store where you have to pick through everything and hope you get lucky. I rarely have the patience for that, so this place just wasn’t my thing.

When I know I’m going to North Conway for the weekend, I get really excited to hit up the outlets on the way home. Each time I get excited for LL Bean as well, but every time I’ve gone into the store I’ve left disappointed with nothing. The store has the feeling of a Walmart inside, which I find odd because of the quality of the wares, but I always feel a little dirty and overwhelmed (but not in a good way).
I can’t quite put a finger on why this place doesn’t work, and I always hope that I will be pleasantly surprised the next time I go.

I’m happy to report I made out much better then I did on my last visit. I scored a couple of pols for about half of the cost of buying them on line.
I was very happy to walk up to the check out and find no line, especially since the store was packed with customers. Our cashier, Ida, was very helpful and had us out the door within a few short moments.
