Stick with the bugers, you can’t go wrong. My steak tips not so good. Small portion and overcooked. The. Blody Mary’s are fantastic.

Food was excellent, as was the service. Wifey and I went here for lunch. Sriracha wings, Thai wrap and burger were delicious. Our server Ken was very attentive and engaging. We’re sure to be back!

Call ahead seating, day before Valentine’s Day it was packed but we were sat immediately, waitress was very understanding and gave us time to look over the menu. I ordered the 3-bean vegetarian chili and was very pleased with the crisp cheese on top. I also ordered the quesadilla and was unfortunately displeased as it was bland. My boyfriend ordered the sirloin steak tips so I was able to have some, very great flavor with a good sized portion of mashed potatoes and vegetables. Would definitely go back and try more on the menu, as plates went by I was able to see burgers stacked inches high that looked awesome !

I ordered the steak tips. I was pleasantly surprised by how tender they were. They were cooked exactly as I ordered. I had an caramel apple martini as well– It was so good I had to order a second one :)

My hubby and I love going to the Black Cap Grille. The food is always fresh and inventive. If you love mushroom burgers, this one by far is the best one I’ve personally ever had. The mussels are exceptional too. I haven’t ever had a meal that hasn’t been top notch. Great service, atmosphere and food keeps us coming back!

One star is for the drinks only!!! Been here every year for season ski trip had always been good but this time the new chef thinks it’s his job to just cook the food and barely, came served raw!!! TASTENOTIMPORTANT!!! Had to go to Applebee’s immediately after eat something with any kind of taste, before calling it a night and going to bed on and empty stomach!!!

We have visited Black Cap Grille on three occasions now and have been very happy with the food each time. In particular, there have been great tasting vegetarian options available on each visit, something often hard to find even in a bigger city. Service has been hit or miss during our visits. Never bad, but especially on our most recent visit not the most welcoming. For instance, the host seating parties that evening seemed upset that people were asking for tables in view of the bar TV to watch the Patriots playoff game. There was plenty of room and all who asked were able to get a table in view, the host just seemed bothered by being asked.

Mediocre at best. We ordered calamari for an appetizer which was very disappointing… lacked seasoning and had very little flavor. The salmon was very dry and their house salad is bland and lacks enough dressing to give it any flavor. Service was okay, they are generous in their portions however.

Stopped back in last night. Joyce and I decided to grab a bite. She had her favorite chicken caprese sandwich with avacado dressing on her side salad. I went with wings and the spicy meat ball salad. Place was packed on this Monday night. Not a seat emptied in the place. Yet food and wait service were as great as it always are. I suggest you try the banana chocolate bread pudding.

I’ve been trying to think of a way to describe the service and the best word I can come up with is indifferent. Slow is another good word. It took so long for someone to come to our table that we almost walked out. We were thinking our server didn’t know someone had been seated, but when our waiter ended up being the person that seated us, that theory went out the window. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant, so he certainly wasn’t overworked. He took our drink and food orders and interacted with us in as few words possible. That isn’t change during the rest of our time there. On to the food. We started off with the potstickers and they were tasty. My husband decided on the Swiss and mushroom burger and I decided to build my own burger. It can get pricey to build your own, be warned. I had a natural all-beef burger with Cabot cheddar, bacon and caramelized onions. I ordered it cooked medium and was told the all-natural burger should never be ordered cooked more than medium. The burger came out cooked well-done. Interesting. Someone may want to give the kitchen the message about how the burgers should be cooked. The burgers were OK, but we’ve had better burgers and service elsewhere in the Valley. We may come back, but it won’t be our first choice.

Lunch. Build a burger was cooked perfectly it was however just a good burger. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this dish. Also had the special rare roast beef special sandwich. This was a 5!!! Good beer prices and selections. Asked for separate checks and had to ask again. It wasn’t busy would have thought it could have happened the first request. Average and ordinary for lunch. Better for dinner

Service terrible. Didn’t even get asked if we wanted something to drink. Turkey burger dry, fries semi cold. Would not return or recommend.

The atmosphere is pleasant and nicely done. The lobster risotto cakes with the aioli sauce were amazing! The beet and blue cheese salad was good but lacked dressing. The kid’s menu is somewhat pricey for what it is, but the kids were happy. I thought it odd that my wine didn’t arrive in a wine glass. Overall, it was a nice night out.

Black Cap has excellent food, atmosphere and service. I eat here at least once every time I visit North Conway. The burgers and salads are delicious. Order a side of Bean Cakes! My kids enjoy their kids meals, especially the French Bread Pizza.

I’m a local guy and this is a restaurant I still went back to, after finding a piece of rubber in my burger. The place closes at 10, it’s 9.43 and I call in for a basic burger to go. The server at the bar area, cause I know him, tells me they wrapped up for the night. It’s a Saturday night in August, about 20 min before closing. If that’s your business philosophy, you’re lucky for tourists. I end up getting a great burger from Delaneys, a North Conway landmark, great pub for locals and tourits alike: great food and the great people to serve it. Not only that they’re loosing my business, I’ll make sure to steer my friends away too when we go out.

The burger was very good but a bit over cooked as was my boyfriends. The build your own burger options are plentiful; my goat cheese, jalapeño and garlic aoili option was delicious. The fries were good but my boyfriends onion rings sub par. Overall solid but not spectacular. I would go back for the burgers.

Nice atmosphere and good people, waitress had a great big smile for us. The place is clean and modern, plenty of big screen TV’s. The menu had a big selection of burgers and wraps. I had the Turkey Club Wrap which had plenty of bacon with cranberry mayo, very tasty!

I work nearby and frequently am stuck in the office late. I’m often craving a burger or great risotto. Unfortunately the only way to eat here is to dine in. They rarely accept takeout orders. Tonight the young hostess answered the phone and said they were«too busy to accept takeout orders». To my dismay, I drove by(as I was just next door at the pharmacy). The restaurant was not busy at all. If they keep this up, they will go the way of Maestro’s. It’s obvious the young hostess doesn’t care about anything. Do any owners/managers read this stuff? Take care of your customers or die out like the rest of the restaurants that didn’t care! The hostess sucks!!!
