awesome variety of top quality jerky. If you like jerky you must stop by, and the owner is very great and friendly. He sources the meat from great places, a big difference from your average jerky

Being a man who loves jerky, this shop caught my eye as I passed through downtown with family. After walking past it a few times we decided to drop in and I have to say that I was impressed by the variety of jerky they offer. The products here as other Unilocaler’s have stated range from basic teriyaki jerky to more unique types such as anaconda. We bought a few different types including a bag of anaconda and have to say we enjoyed them all. The cashier here was also incredibly polite, knowledgeable and fun to talk to especially when he found out we were from Western MA where he originated from. The only downside to this shop was that the prices were a bit high, but jerky in general is expensive and we didn’t mind shelling out the dough for the quality of jerky we bought.

I’ve been meaning to check this place out for a while now. Every time I visit North Conway I seem to miss my chance. Finally had the time last week and couldn’t be happier! As soon as you walk in you’re greeted warmly by staff. In this case, it was the store manager/owner«Matt». There was a huge selection of jerky overall, and couldn’t believe how much they had to choose from and try! Here’s a few examples: Elk Ostrich Alligator Python Wild Boar Absolutely incredible jerky and very satisfied with my choices. Matt recommend his favorite, the black peppered wild boar, which was amazing. Obviously dry and a bit tough, but very flavorful and actually a bit sweet. All meats are USDA inspected and contain only organic /farm raised ingredients. No nitrates or MSG. Matt also suggested trying the Spicy Biltong, which is just spicy beef jerky that’s shredded instead of served as slabs of meat. First time I’ve ever had this type of jerky /drying process. Very tender and easier to eat on the go, with just the right amount of spice. I highly highly highly recommend! So in the end, if you’re a passionate beef jerky lover like me then you have to try«House of Jerky»! You can also check them out online or visit their 20+ other locations in the US!

We come to N. Conway every Christmas and a few other times over the summer. This is the first time that I have been to House of Jerky. I was lured into the location with promises of kangaroo, wild boar, alligator, and other exotic jerky. I was a little put off at the price. The exotics came in around $ 15.99 for a 3 or 3.5 ounce package. I declined on those but picked up a turkey and beef sampler instead. When I got home I immediately regretted not buying the exotic! The teriyaki turkey jerky is amazing! My father bought the spiced beef and that was amazing as well. I will certainly be returning to pick up more jerky. It was not over salted and tough like the grocery store kinds. I highly recommend this store. The only reason that it doesn’t get 5 stars is because I would have liked to see a sample of one of the exotic styles.

House of Jerky is a fairly new member of the North Conway strip. I’ve never been a huge fan of jerky(too chewy and salty), but my husband enjoys it so we wandered in a recent trip. House of Jerky specializes in more of a gourmet jerky and offers such unusual items as salmon, kangaroo and wild boar. The prices are much higher than you would expect to find in an average store. In this case, you get what you pay for. My husband picked up a few types and after sampling them, they really as much less chewy and salty than other jerkies I’ve had. I know jerky consumption is up a bit right now due to it being OK to eat while on certain diets, but I’m not sure if a store dedicated to jerky is going to be able to get the foot traffic needed to survive in this area.
