Salon B

I love coming to Salon B especially for Tvon. She’s so personable and friendly. Plus, she has the hair dressing skills to prove it. She loves what she do and you can see it! The whole staff at Salon B are very friendly. If you want to have great hair and smile on your face, then book your service there. Especially with Tvon, you won’t be disappointed!

My first experience here was phenomenal! I’d never gotten my hair cut in the area before and I was nervous to try somewhere new. I made the right choice. Tvon was the most thorough hairdresser I’ve ever had and I love my new hair cut. All the employees are really friendly and they make their clients feel like a priority. They give the option of taking before and after pictures for their brochures, and that just adds to the glamorous feel of the salon. The prices are also very reasonable and they have a lot of great deals frequent customers can take advantage of. Highly recommend you give them a try!

I can not say enough positive things about this salon. It is so nice to have a «big city» quality salon in a prime location for people in the Dartmouth, Fairhaven, New Bedford area. You are going to walk out of here feeling like a million bucks.

So so so happy with my first visit to Salon B! Just moved to the area, went to get my color done at another local salon and it came back absolutely horrible. I called Salon B and got in to see Mary the same day. She did an AMAZING JOB fixing me color. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I will def be back regularly to get my hair done. Thanks Mary!

I had a great cut and pedicure with Paige. This team is working very hard to establish themselves and value customers who come back. I have always thought a client should be rewarded for loyalty and they do. Coupons for future visits and referrals will keep me coming back. They did a recent remodel and are conveniently located. I will return.

Salon B is top notch! Usually I’m the type of guy that wants to «just get a haircut». I took advantage of an online special that gave me a discount so I gave them a try. First off, I was greeted like I had been going there forever by Carissa and offered a coffee or a tea. I chose coffee to help with my long day. I did have an appointment so I was taken in immediately. Marcus not only cut my hair exactly how I wanted it, but he could tell I didn’t frequent salons all that often and made me feel comfortable. Salon B is super clean and makes you feel very welcome. I would absolutely consider them a diamond in the rough that you NEED to have. From the minute I walked in, to the minute I left, it was top notch. I’d give them 6 stars if I could. UPDATE… Unilocal filtered this originally, so hopefully this makes it now.

I’ve been so happy with every cut and style. That’s a rarity in New Bedford. I used to go to Options Salon for years in Dartmouth and I paid dearly for mediocre cuts and highlight jobs.
Salon B is a very comfortable environment with stylists that listen and are talented. I loved my cuts from both Amelia and Molly.

I went into Salon B with very little knowledge about how their stylists were along with what I truly wanted to do with my hair. Lucy was my stylist and was absolutely phenomenal! She helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my hair and it came out amazing! The place itself was very easy to find and looked great inside. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a new salon to go to.

I’ve been to Salon B three times. One of the stylists, Marcus, is a friend and I was the ‘model’ for his job interview. He did a great job and has blossomed since he started there. Each time I’ve been there, it was not too busy and the stylists are relaxed, not frazzled.
Their washing sinks are the highlight as they are the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced… highly recommended for the elderly or those with back/​neck problems as it cradles your head.
They use Redken and Bumble & Bumble… I purchased moderately effective haircare on sale, but still not worth the extra bucks., better off going to a beauty supply store.
I don’t go that often b/​c my hair is long & natural and I’m not too fussy with it. Otherwise I recommend this salon… the receptionist is super sweet and offers you coffee while you wait :)

I’m still basking in the glow of a great haircut that I got last week at Salon B!
I was an early morning client, but when I arrived at 8 the staff was chipper and cheerful, and appropriate music was playing. I was immediately offered a coffee or tea, and instructed to wait while my stylist prepped her station.
The décor of this salon is wonderful. It is clean and simple with nice strong lines and lots of white and light wood accents. The set up is great with different sections being dedicated to different aspects of a beauty régime. They do offer makeup application and consults as well as nails.
I was seen by Kerrie. I’m not typically one to chat with my stylist, especially at 8 am, but she was delightful and entertaining. I must have been a bit boring since all I wanted was a trim, but after a quick consult and her specifically asking me about current problems I had with the cut we were on our way. In about a half hour I emerged with a nice new cut and no more split ends as well as a great blow-​out.
I live in Boston, but I will be making my hair appointments in New Bedford regularly now.

Just had my hair done at Salon B last night!
It’s a relatively new addition to the area, though I understand the owner has been in biz for over 20 years!
Salon B is easy to find, located on Hawthorne Street, a little ways past Buttonwood Park. It also has convenient and private off-​street parking in back!
The interior is clean and cute and super-​inviting. The staff was really friendly, and my coat was taken immediately upon arrival.
My stylist, Amelia Ruvich, is actually my close friend, as well! She just moved to NB from Northampton, MA. We went to art school together, and she has gone on to become — can I just say — «a hair ARTIST.»
We’ve been plotting to cut my hair short for literally weeks! It was really exciting to finally take the plunge on her first day of work at Salon B!
Amelia started my look with a sort of underneath halo of dark blond, my natural color, and foiled the top of my head with bright blond highlights. Then, the whole shebang was toned a cool ash color. Soooo gorge!
Next, we took off like four inches — YIKES! — of length, all around, shaping a mod-​looking bowlcut! I asked Amelia to leave a «rat tail» at the nape of my neck, right in the center, but she talked me into relocating the tail slightly to the side — The perfect, unexpected finishing touch!
As if my show-​stopping new style was not enough, my fave product line, Bumble+Bumble, was on sale at 20% off! I stocked up on their amazing Thickening Spray and Styling Lotion.
After my complicated color, uh-​mazing cut, eyebrow wax AND products, I thought my tab would be somewhere around $ 200. I was ready to spoil myself, with some as of yet unspend birthday money! When the receptionist told me the total, I had to go swap my trial-​size Bumble for the full-​size versions — And even still, my visit was WELL under $ 150!
INSAAAANE!
