I enjoyed a great a lunch on a hot July afternoon at Wagner’s. I ordered BLT on sourdough with two Fat Tire ales as thirst quenchers. Lots of smiles. Great customer service a.k.a. hospitality. For eight bucks in a semi-remote location the sandwich was perfect. If camping or cabins are as good as the café, this place is a winner. To be fair and honest– This is not a 5-star/5-diamond type of place. It’s rustic and welcoming with a splash of vintage décor for that ‘yesteryear’ appeal. Great for campers, RV’ers and outdoorsy-type people.

Had the most amazing meal there last week. Stopped in while we were driving the Sierra Scenic Byway Loop. Husband’s omelette was«off the charts» great(really fresh spinach) and my 2 eggs sunny side up were perfection. Great potatoes on the side. Love the surprise of a great meal on the road in the middle of nowhere(no disrespect meant there… it’s just not exactly a place you are going to pass through…)

Breakfast and lunch served every day except Monday. This family owned and run store and café for the private campground. This is truly a convenience store, because there are no other ones around. If you get tired of cooking over the campfire then shuffle up to the café counter and order a home style cooked hamburger. Mason makes a mean breakfast burrito if you get there between 8 and 11. Lunch is served between 11 and 3. Only gets 3 stars because they tend to run out of what they have on the menu and they don’t serve dinner.
