We received excellent service from our waitress Christina«Slick». Very friendly and informative about the menus. The food was great and we enjoyed it so much we returned the following evening for burger night.

went back recently for a mothers day brunch. not by choice. what a hot mess. sloppy buffet outside and tasteless bland food. dirty forks and such. Nail in the coffin? An earwig crawled out from behind a framed picture in the entrance and fell on my shoulder upon the exiting… as if I wasn’t already horrified. DONE

Another failed trip to the Post Office pub. I grew up visiting this restaurant and had enjoyed eating here for years(since the early 80’s), at some point in more recent history, owners changed, then chefs changed, and one of my favorite items(Chicken Chimichanga) was dropped off the menu, and everything has been down hill since. Last night, giving the place yet another chance, I ordered the red fish tacos off the specials menu, was a great blend of spicy slaw, mango salsa and a very nice looking piece of blackened fish — Visually very appealing. However… after eating the first taco, I picked up the second and realized the piece of fish still had a full set of scales on it. nicely cooked and all curled up looking like some bizarre bed of grossness sticking up like a bunch of spikes. We’re talking a FULL set of scales, not just a few. How can any self respecting chef cook that and not notice the fillet is still covered in scales? How can they then place that piece(all by itself) into a taco? it wasn’t breaded and fried –this was blackened(on the non-skin side) so the scales were VERY obvious. The waitress was apologetic, but then confessed she knew nothing about fish and wasn’t sure what I was talking about when I said«scales»(really???) She then went away, and reported back to me that she confirmed with the Manager that they were scales(Yes, I realize that…) and they’ll get me a new taco. Not once did the manager come over to apologize herself. I am very flexible and didn’t put up a big stink about it, but honestly show some customer service and at least come over to talk to me about what was served. This my friends was the straw — I have now officially written off the Post Office Pub from my list of local go-to restaurants. This was the last of a long string of similar meal experiences at this place, and I just can’t give them any more chances. So unless they advertise a new Chef, I won’t be going there to eat anything but a bowl of popcorn with my beer at the bar. Cheers

This place is the worst. Every year or so, I forget and give it another chance, but I should stop doing that. On the most recent visit, I was asking the waitress for a recommendation between two things on the menu, when I looked up and noticed she had a solid black tooth. This did not start things off well. The coconut shrimp was not good. The batter just fell off the shrimp as you tried to eat it. It came with this weird sauce that was trying to be plum sauce but failed. After the appetizers showed up, we waited way too long for our main meal to come. The«blue cheese and bacon burger» had a huge pile of caramelized onions, not much blue cheese, and two small pieces of limp bacon. The burger was some weird shape, with a chunk sticking out. The bun was soggy. Nothing good about this. My wife got the corned beef Reuben, which is usually my favorite type of sandwich. I tried a bite of it, and it was so bad that I actually spit it out. There was some sort of terrible«pig» flavor that I’ve never tasted before. Maybe the sauerkraut had gone bad or something? I don’t know what was wrong, but it was truly terrible. The only slightly redeeming factor was the kids meal. The chicken fingers and fries were alright.

The worst brunch I have ever had! The service was horrible. I started out with a coffee and they couldn’t even bring cream, I had to go to the bartender and ask for cream then my grandchildren had cereal they had no milk out for cereal, once again had to go to the bartender and get milk, they couldn’t even make a proper place setting with spoons on the table, knife and fork only. Its hard to eat cereal with a fork! The selection of items was very small and they couldn’t even have bacon to go with eggs. Who doesn’t have bacon at a breakfast brunch! We will never go back again!

Gave the pub about two years since last review/experience and had lunch there. $ 5 burger special what could go wrong? A medium well burger any other place is not burnt to a crisp. Here, it means burnt to a crisp. The waitress was inattentive and unfriendly. How hard is it to check in or refill empty water glasses. The one star rating stands although I wish Unilocal allowed Zero or negatives because that was the dining experience. Next review will be when it is sold and there is a new restaurant in its place.

We came here with a group of 8 at around 11:45AM for the brunch. They asked us if we had reservations, and seemed confused why we didn’t, which was bizarre since the place was practically empty with several clean 8 person tables. We accidentally sat at a table with lunch menus on it, and were politely asked to move to the other 8 person table. No big deal. The buffet was good, and there seemed to be something for everyone. Nothing to write home about though. The waitresses kept forgetting to bring out the drink orders, which was fine because they were so sweet and polite. At the end, we were annoying millenials who all had our own cash and cards. One of our friends clearly explained and marked the check with how we wanted to split the bill, and they were extremely polite and understanding, unlike other places. Since the staff were all darling, they get 5 stars! Thanks!

Large bar area, but the bartenders never know how to make any of the drink specials they offer. I don’t drink beer and I don’t think they generally do a lot of mixed drinks(although they do have a pretty good drink menu). It’s been hit or miss with the bar staff. Some people are great, others make you feel like they’d rather be doing anything else but serving you. They have live music, which is really nice. Foods average, some dishes are better than others.

Food here is just ok. We went this evening about 6pm. I ordered the crab stuffed haddock which came with crisp sautéed green beans, and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. My Aunt had the baked haddock with the same sides, and my mom had the vege pasta primavera. The stuffed haddock was ok. The portion was smaller then I expected for the $ 15.99 price tag, and served on a pretty large plate which made it looked even smaller. It was a tiny bit spicy, and the stuffing was more bready then crab, but it was not bad, just nothing remarkable. Sides were good. Baked haddock was ok, again nothing remarkable. Pasta had crisp tender zucchini, summer squash, and spinach in it. Vegetables were good, but pasta was boring and flavorless. We shared a Molten chocolate lava cake for dessert. It again was only ok. Tasted like boxed cake mix with fudge filling. The waitress told us that it wasn’t home made there so it’s obviously a boxed type cake, or a frozen microwavable one. On a positive note our waitress was very nice, and attentive. I would eat there again if I ended up there and was hungry but I won’t be making a special trip to visit them again anytime soon.

Went to Post office pub last night to see«she’s busy» they were amazing and for a musical venue, this place is pretty good. But, could someone please tell the bar staff that part of their jobs is to be friendly? It was something that various people I spoke with noticed. No one cracked a smile in the 3 hours my friend and I were there. We ordered apps and drinks and so they couldn’t blame us for not spending $. Borderline rude

This was my first time at the Post Office Pub and I can assure you I will never go back. After walking into the restaurant and being seated right away(this by the way was the only part of our evening that moved quickly) we were left at our table for more than five minutes with no server ever stopping by to say hello. When she did arrive, she was impatient and unorganized and tried walking away from us when we were ordering drinks for ourselves and a meal for my friend’s son. Two 20oz waters and a kids cup of the same took an additional five minutes which is when we were left to wait another 10 minutes before ordering. We placed our orders and minutes later the kids meal arrived. There was no silverware to be had so I had to get up and ask the host for some so he would be able to eat his dinner. Our waitress brought over a pitcher of water and left it on our table(neither of us had asked for any more as we had full cups) and looked at us like we were insane when we quizzically looked at one another as to why she left it there. Our meals(two burgers) took more than 20 minutes to arrive and were not only over cooked, they were brought out incorrectly. Both were ordered sans bun, and were supposed to be cooked medium rare. Both burgers were 30 seconds from well done and were absolutely disgusting, tough hockey pucks set on top of the buns we didn’t want. We still had no silverware and I had to ask, yet again, for some cutlery. When I brought it to the attention of our server that not only was the food wrong, it was very, very overcooked she said«well are you going to eat it?» To which I said I couldn’t wait another half hour for a burger. The bill came and no discount or substitution had been offered for our meals. $ 37(pre-tip) for a meal that left me angry, hungry, and a little bit sick. No manager was visible or present and no one, aside from our bad server, ever came to the table to check in and see how everything was. I will never go back and I will not be recommending this to anyone.

I’ll preface this by saying they would get a lower rating if they were in Worcester, but Grafton has limited bar and restaurant options. The food is mediocre, its standard bar fare, although the menu is huge so you could probably find something for anyone here. They have around 20 beers on tap, most of which are craft. They have always had 4 or 5 Central Mass beers on tap, usually from Wachusett and Wormtown. They also do a good trivia night on Wednesdays. If you live in Grafton and don’t want to go anywhere, this is your best bet for a bar.

I’ve been here for trivia a handful of times. Get there early if you have a big group, because even though trivia teams can be 6 people, most of their tables are only for 4 people and they are very strict about not moving chairs around. Many people bring kids and leave early, so your odds of winning go up :) The service is variable, I’ve had some great, some meh. The food is ok, it is a huge menu so they try to do a lot of things mediocre-ly. The beer list though, is quite impressive. The guy who runs trivia is super nice, the beer is good, and it’s close to my house so I will definitely be back, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here. PS — I forgot about the free popcorn! It’s super salty carnival popcorn, but free and pairs well with beer.
