There’s only two of ‘em on the island: boatyards.
Brown’s is the only boatyard where you’re going to find gas, and tools, and showers.
Gas for your car. Gas for the boat.
Lobsters.
Moorings.
The red wharf structure houses a wood shop and boat repair and maintenance facility. And the hardware store.
Also rope — a whole room full of rope — measured by the foot. A very useful place when dealing with boats.
An institution that once had a hopping bar and restaurant — that petered out, unfortunately.
Wear shoes and bikes get crushed.
Brown’s will ferry you to Vinalhaven too.
