The store manager with the blue hair is one of the rudest ladies I have ever met. She made me feel belittled and extremely offended. The way she acted made me never want to enter the doors of the north haven Ulta ever again.

The store manager, Jenn, was extremely knowledgable, helpful and patient. She went out of way to walk around the store and introduce me to brands I would never think to try. I am grateful for that. Her honest relatable attitude and warm personality makes you instantly comfortable. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I’ll bump them up one star for a more positive experience recently. I knew which makeup products I wanted, but asked for assistance regarding the correct color for my hair/skin tone as there were three staff standing nearby. One of them was happy to help and even applied the specific product on me and explained it as she went along, so I would know how to do it correctly on my own. The cashiers are still quite flat, just don’t seem happy to be there. The store is well kept and organized though and parking is ample in the plaza where they are located.

Tracy at the Brow Bar is awesome! My daughter won’t go anywhere else and she gets many compliments!

They are often out of products I need! They also need to get on the same page w what qualifies to receive a gift w purchase. Once, back when the minimum perfume purchase was $ 30, I bought an amazing grace body lotion and was given a free robe. The next time they had a GWP offer I bought the same lotion & was told it was not a perfume purchase! I use the lotion as my perfume and it is quite pricey, can’t you spare the free gift? After all, after the offer expires there is always extra gifts available for purchase! Just give them away if someone is spending that amount of money on a lotion!

This store is always a mess and out of stock. I’ve been told by multiple employees that you can and cannot put things on hold. No one seems to know the policy on that and one morning I called in when I knew they were getting a new shipment to put something on hold and they«gave it away» when I went to pick it up at noon. I used to go to this location because it was close to my job, but the staff there is so stuck up and rude and that’s when there actually is staff and not just one girl at the register and one in the salon. They continuously disappoint me and instead of listening to my concerns, which by the way were valid and not presented rude in any way, they make me feel like everything is my fault. For example, One time I told them I was looking for a blush that was out of stock… again… and the cashier laughed in my face and told me that if I can’t make it to the store early enough then I should just go online. When in reality the product is only sold in store. Then the next morning, which was not the«Monday» that they were supposedly getting their next shipment, they had a ton of them in stock. I guess they didn’t even want to check for me. I have asked numerous people coming through my job which is nearby if they ever go into this Ulta and they all respond with, not if I can help it. The staff at this store really needs a reality check and could learn a bit about customer service especially now, so close to the holidays when people are spending more money!

Love the salon here! Go to get my hair colored and cut regularly, and the prices are much more reasonable than at other salons. I really like the hair color they use, and the women working there are always nice! I would definitely recommend this place!

This store is *filthy*. That can usually be forgiven, because as long as they have what I’m shopping for who really cares? The one star is due to the staff. The staff is ***HORRIBLE***. They’re either completely apathetic, or actively rude/mean to their customers. Once, while quietly browsing the benefit eyebrow bar area, I actually had someone approach ask if I was waiting for help since my brows were in, «serious need» of work. Also, I was on the phone with a friend at the time — talk about embarrassing. I resisted my urge to smack the associate and said, «no.» Thanks for interrupting me for an unsolicited insult! This is one of many examples, but it’s the one that I think best highlights the situation there. Thank goodness the Target across has a decent selection of makeup — and, thank goodness CT has other Ulta and Sephora stores to go to instead of the North Haven one. I submitted a comment to a thread in which was specifically about how harsh Ulta customer service is and an Ulta rep in the thread actually sent me a private message asking for specifics on the store and apologized on their behalf — and promised that management would be spoken to. I’m hoping they reached out to management there… but, I’m not interested in going back to see if there’s been any improvement… I’ve kinda written this store off at this point.

unfriendly unhelpful staff. Target, just across the way, carries so much of what this place does, so I’ll go there… or elsewhere… just not to Ulta.

Worst customer service. The people working in the make up department never know what you are asking for or talking about even though I referred to items specifically in their flyer. They are only there to sell the one brand they know about. I’m always frustrated when I go in the store because there isn’t anyone to help me even though there’s like 5 makeup people walking around aimlessly

I, on a whim, made an appointment for a cut a color at the salon and I was BLOWNAWAY. Crystal is AMAZING. I left with beautiful ombré highlights and an amazing blowout. The price cannot be beat!

I have walked and driven by many Ultas but this was the first I had ever been in. As a semi-regular Sephora shopper, I had already committed to one beauty store and didn’t see a need to for another. Plus, I was under the impression for some reason that Ulta carried only drugstore or no-name brands, but I was very wrong. I am so glad I had time to pop in over the weekend when I was running errands at a nearby store found that it was like a combination of Sephora, department store make up counter, and the most comprehensive and inclusive drugstore beauty products aisle. A little overwhelming with everything they carried, but definitely a fun place to browse if you have the time! I especially loved the mini/travel/sample sizes placed by the registers in the front as they have everything from dry shampoos, to Frederick Fekkai glossing cream, to little bottles of Organix shampoos and conditions, to my favorite brand of lip balms eos(evolution of smooth) who also makes hand lotion, to Hollywood fashion tape. I wanted to buy so many things!

I just recently made an appointment for a haircut and the stylist was nice and friendly but clearly in a hurry. It is probably the worst hair cut I have ever gotten, my bangs weren’t cut evenly my hair is thick and uneven with shelves left in it that weren’t blended. I’m very unhappy with it and ashamed to walk around looking like this.

I didn’t even know what Ulta was until three months ago, and boy was I missing out! This place is like a drugstore beauty aisle multiplied by 100. They carry an extensive collection of all the usual drug store brands(Revlon, Maybelline, NYX, Cover Girl, Neutrogena, Almays, Physician Formula, etc.) plus higher end brands like Urban Decay, Too Faced, Bareminerals/Bare escentuals, Boscia, Dr. Brandt, Lancome, LORAC, and Stila, that you’d normally have to go to a department store to find. Unfortunately, you won’t find some high end brands like Nars and Make Up For Ever, that are easy to find at Sephora. They also carry all things skin care, hair care, and beauty tools/accessories. But the«pièce de résistance» is the full service beauty salon that operates in the back of the store. The idea is Brilliant! Now, I’ve never had a service done here so I can’t speak to the quality, but the concept deserves notice.
