Well my coworkers like this place, too bad they only order when Im broke, like the day before payday, but are always obliged to share, like today, and it still kicks some major asetol!!! Its a drive for me and family from Chatsworth, maybe one day but summer just started, and it better be cool outside before I make the trip, but cant wait till we do! that was great! So to all the haters, well, honestly, whatever…

Gotta lower my normal rating for this place to 4 stars just because their prices on the blue collar pizzas are too high. For the regular 5999 calorie pizzas, it’s high but worth it for what you get. But blue collar is the true NY style and my fav but $ 20 for a thin crust pizza with maybe 7 – 8 pepperoni slices and a little cheese on it just isn’t worth it. Used to be $ 12. Get the 5999 calorie version(which is what you get anyways unless you specify blue collar). Also the House Special is excellent. Watch out for the toppings on the regular 5999 calorie pizzas, they do not play around in here. You ask for mushrooms you will get a giant can of mushrooms on the pizza so consider«light» toppings when you you order. Anyone complaining about the«ambiance» or the«graffiti» total misses the vibe and point, it’s good enough for a host of celebrities that frequent the place. Stay away, better for us.

Joe Peeps it’s been a while mí amore but after tonight I sleep satisfied… you still rock! Best pizza in SFV best ingredients and the tastiest crust, cheese, pepperoni, and sauce. The quality of this place remains unchanged for over 20 years, my love affair continues with Joe P… P. s. thank you for the free bread to take home that was so nice ;)

Amazing pizza! Delicious crust, great cheese coverage, lots of meat. So amazingly delicious. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. I’ve eaten pizza all over the world and this is some of the best.

I love pizza and this place! Huge slices if you ask me and the toppings are usually served in abundance! The inside of the place is different too. It’s quickly made in 5 – 10 but fresh!

Not sure what they’re known for but pizza isn’t it. But since NY Pizza is in their name I’m going to have to discuss that. This is not NY Pizza. There’s no balance to the ingredients, way too much cheese, too much sauce and the crust is far too thick. The crust is also undercooked in the center and overcooked on the edges most likely a result of the cheese suffocating the rising in the oven. This might be closer to a greek style pizza or a step above a heavy calorie Costco slice. Don’t let the overwhelming amount of NYC paraphernalia fool you, even I drove by thinking it looked like a familiar hole in the wall from my beloved youth. It’s not, sorry.

The pizza was good, the baked pasta was great. The place itself is a little weird, and the service was a little odd(slow, even though it was quiet and the dishes came out 15 minutes apart), but the food made it worthwhile. Big portions, great taste — the blue collar pizza was light, fresh and tasty. Make sure you enter from the parking lot at the back — otherwise it’s weird walking through the kitchen

Its been a while since my last visit to «JPNYP»… and I guess absence makes the heart grow pretty hungry for some good«LOTS of poppings pizza»… I smiling again and I’ve gone by twice already. Glad to know some good things don’t change. 2 slices to go is a pretty good deal too… YUM! And now I must find my keys… More yum on deck! Cheers\’16

There is pizza, and then there is Joe Peeps… which is something quite frankly beyond my wildest expectations of all pizza. A friend told me to go here. I keep going back. I love the fact that not only do I get a mouth-watering, indescribable pizza eating experience, I get a workout carrying the pizza to my car. It’s heavy… and not from being a dough ball… from toppings that I imagine being inspired by Joe’s mamma… every last NY Italian style pizza inspired bite. Oh yeah… if you are hungry, you might want to plan ahead. The fun and friendly staff are working their behinds off in the place… and they are busy making my pizza first… so there might be a 25 minute or more wait for pick up(and longer for delivery). If you want to eat in, it’s got a NY pizza dive flair(yeah, you can write on the walls) with a handful of tables so knock yourself out. Me, I’m taking mine to go.

This pizza is not good. My boyfriend ordered the house combo, and I ordered the house veggie, and we shared a small antipasto salad that came with garlic bread. The antipasto salad was anti-tasty. It was iceberg lettuce that was clearly old, the slices of cheese and salami were cut into quarters, which just seemed lazy — presentation is not a thing here. The dressing is 99% oil, and has no flavor. The chickpeas are from a can, the olives from a can, the artichoke hearts have no taste. The garlic bread was plain bread with butter and what looked to be Kraft Parmesan cheese that was actually a little burnt, and didn’t taste like garlic at all. The pizza sauce has no flavor — seriously, not even a glimmer of some kind of herb or fresh tomato. It was also so thick, it may have just been tomato paste. The veggies are slimy — more stuff from cans. We ordered by the slice, which means you get old cheese pizza with slimy veggies dumped on top. The meat looked like meat for cold cut sandwiches by Oscar Meyer. The crust is the only thing that’s good about this pizza, but they put so many toppings on it, you cannot pick the pizza up. The toppings are not baked into the pizza. This is their thing, apparently. It doesn’t taste good. Nothing here tasted or looked fresh at all. The antipasto salad was way overpriced and we didn’t finish it. I did not enjoy this experience, and I wouldn’t eat here again if I was paid. There are far better options — a frozen pizza from the grocery store tastes better and is more fresh.

Just ate here for the first time and legit could not be more disppointed! First of all, customer service doesn’t exist here, and the noise from the open kitchen is severly annoying. The cheese pizza with two toppings I had wan inedible because of the literal MOUNTAIN of slimey veggies. The slice fell apart immdediately upon lifting it and burnt my hand to boot. My husband, native New Yorker and I’ve lived there myself, can absolutely testify THISISNOTNEWYORKPIZZA! Everything he had was flavorless as well, pepperoni’s undercooked. I have no idea what people are smoking out here to think this is good pizza. Yet another overrated restaurant in NoHo.

Ordered delivery from this place. We got the large pizza with olives, mushrooms and sausages. HUGE slices. They really pile on the toppings and they don’t go easy on the cheese, which is awesome. You get double the food and paying the same price as other places. Definitely need to try out Joe Peeps if you are a pizza lover!

Joe peeps made the most amazing pizzas on the valley! They are HUGE ! Great ingredient and the staff it’s the nicest you’ll find around, the Italian sub it’s great too, and the 5969 pizzas are packed with flavor, i had coming here since I moved to the Valle and I’ll definitely will be coming back anytime I can since I just moved to Glendale ! Great pizza, great people !!

The down and dirty: Ambiance: very unique setting… not somewhere you take a date for a candlelit dinner however, if she’s a simple woman, this is a winner. Food quality: asked for them to murder my pizza with pepperoni, much obliged me they did!!! They killed it and then some with pepperoni! Customer service: The initial meet was just ok. It only went downhill from there. I ordered 2 slices and got one initially and said the other one is on its way. Awesome right, WRONG! I was pleasantly enjoying my delicious slice when the man named«Martín» yelled across quite rudely and pointing to a slice sitting on the counter. What confused me was my first slice was brought to my table, the second left on the counter and just pointed at. For clarification, the cashier was a different guy than the«Martín» guy. I am saddened by how customer service is dying. I am the customer damn it! I pay my hard earned money for some good quality food with a side of customer service! Long story short, I don’t think I will be returning based solely on the dying service to customers. Maybe this«Martín» fella was having a bad night, either way, customer service should still come first. I would rather have awesome customer service with just ok food than poor service with good food. #sorrynotsorry #enjoythereview

Spent the last nine years in Long Island NY. This pizza is pretty good, still no true nyc slice, but close enough considering the distance and the abysmal state of most LA pizza. Blue collar had great crust, but was sorta plain. Had a regular slice with bacon and sauerkraut. It was fantastic. Over loaded with toppings and great, thick, cheesy melt.

Great flavor! $ 3.50 for each slice. It’s HUGE and it comes with your choice of 2 regular toppings. Usually ready in 10 minutes or less… People might think a 12′, 14′ is pricey but you don’t get this flavor anywhere else! Also, good portion of toppings. Joe Peep’s is always my choice for pizza.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had! Better than any pizza I’ve had in NY. They load the toppings on the pizza and put the perfect amount of cheese on there. Oh request that they put extra cheese on top to kind of hold the toppings on. The baked ziti is also delicious. It is great to take home but definitely try to put it in an oven or toaster oven as microwaves turn it kind of rubbery.

We had a bad experience with a delivery and went in to speak with a manager. As everyone should to before writing a rotten review. He was lovely and was gracious and gave us a gift card. We’ll see how it goes next time. I’m likely to joke and ask them to be sure and cook it.

Best pizza on the planet Martin and his son Marvin rock the joint. I’m an Angeleno and have traveled around the country and ate at over 100 – 200 pizzerias and this is one of the best. The ones that give 1 – 2 stars are major idiots and should just go to Ralph’s grocery store and buy some microwaveable Jacks pizza and that should suffice. The toppings here are of the utmost quality and an abundant amount on the pizza and $ 25 well worth it for an 18″ pie.

Always bomb pizza! Best team in town. Only place I go for Pizza. Friendly family owned. Great toppings and fantastic flavor. Easy to order. You can write on the walls. Get the blue collar special best kind you could have. Have it well done. They have bubble crust as in when it’s baked and done its bubbly. Been going here since I was a kid. I will always go to Joe Peeps!

There ought to be a law! If you are advertising NY Pizza it should at least be good! Do people think that simply selling pizza by the slice qualifies as NY Pizza? I was in the neighborhood yesterday and drove by this spot on my way to a meeting and it looked very cool. I’ve been jonesing for some good pizza so as soon as my meeting was over I went straight there. The spot is cool looking with a wall dedicated to graffiti apparently meant to make you think of NY in the 80’s, well that’s as close as you will get to NY in this place. The pizza was bland, it tasted like cream cheese thrown on top of bread and heated up, probably the worst pizza I’ve had in a long time, which includes having to eat little Caesars at a function recently. It was beyond disappointing, I may be spending a lot of time in that area and thought I had found my spot, wrong!

I honestly don’t understand how this place has such good reviews! Being from NJ I’d say that I’m pretty familiar with NY pizza, and let me tell you that 95% of LA pizza joints that claim they have NY pizza are LYING. Including this place. Instead of ordering my usual BLT from harvest moon just next door while at the post office, I decided to try a slice of pizza here. It was awful. They took a slice of hours old plain cheese pizza, put a few slices of pepperoni on it and put it in the oven for a few minutes and called it a pepperoni slice. Literally couldn’t even finish it. Maybe ordering a whole pie would be less awful? Idk but I don’t want to take the chance

I’ve been living next to this pizza place for some time but recently decided to try it, after hearing how great their pizzas are. I got a whole extra cheese pizza with sliced meatballs. Probably one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had and it’s obvious they use fresh and quality ingredients.

Do not miss this pizza joint when in the valley. Seriously the best NY style pizza you could get. This joint is about 5 miles from Universal studios. The ambiance looks like an alley way in China Town, but that’s because everyone is welcome to write on the walls. The staff will even lend you their markets, should you need one! About the pizza: get the house special! With anchovies, please! I love the crust, I usually don’t eat the ends of the crust, but this has the consistency of pita chips. It’s so so good. They are also very generous with toppings, so prepare to ask for knives and forks if you’re not the messy type ;). Their meat lover’s is good as well. Although the crust is a little thicker and the toppings are slight dry. Still good, though! Don’t visit without trying their buffalo wings! Chicken is super tender and moist, and the buffalo sauce is just right. Not too sour or spicy. Overall, if you want hearty, family style food, this is the place to go.

Our new to go place fo’ sho’ 2 thumbs up for quality of food :) We ate there at at the restaurant(if you can call it that) only have couple tables since their business is mostly delivery but the walls are covered in graffiti by their customers which is encouraged & gives it a very local vibe if you’re into that!

I’ve been looking for a pizza place that hits the spot! Finally found it. What I loved the most about my experiences was; the option of customizing my pizza. Lite sauce, more sauce, crispier, softer, ¼ this ½ of that. Sometimes I like thin crust sometimes(depends on how hungry I am) I enjoy thick, cheesy pizza… Point is these guys are always willing to fulfill my needy self! Crust= buttery, with a crispy outside, fluffy inside Cheese= REAL! Say no more Sauce= tasty and not sweet(perfect for me) Top meats 1. Pepperoni 2. Meatball(homemade) 3. Sausage Vegetable 1. Fresh sautéed mushrooms 2. Basil 3. Onions also sautéed(will do the fresh if requested) Pizza is not the only thing they offer, I have yet to try their sandwiches and pasta. You haven’t seen the last me JOEPEEPS

I ordered a medium cheese pizza here today. It was my first experience. With all the great reviews, I said why not?! The only good thing about this pizza place is the friendly service and the can coke I had on my way home. The pizza was tasteless and between my wife and I, we only had 1 slice each. It was the worse pizza I’ve ever had. I will never come again nor will I recommend it.

I first had the pizza here about a year ago. It’s pretty good, just not the BEST New York pizza I’ve ever had. So once you’ve had amazing New York pizza(Bongiorno’s Solana Beach) it’s hard to compare other places unless they are at the same level. If you’re looking for good, resonably priced pizza, Joe Peeps will do! However last night my roommates and I came home from a pool party a little tipsy. For some reason all we wanted was spaghetti. We went to Unilocal and noticed Joe Peeps had some. It’s very close to our house so one of my roommates offered to ride his bike to pick it up. We ordered two orders of the spaghetti with four orders of garlic bread. The spaghetti was only $ 8/pan, and the garlic bread was $ 1/order. It came with two HUGE pieces of garlic bread. We would have been fine with two orders. So basically it was $ 6/person and it lasted us two meals each. That’s how much pasta you get! So I would give Joe Peeps three stars, BUT the spaghetti alone deserves four. I really liked the authentic taste of the sauce and and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The garlic bread was also outrageous. Next time I’m in the mood for some pasta I’ll definitely order from Joe Peeps!

Joe Peeps is the pinnacle of my pizza experience. Fresh dough covered in their homemade sauce then piled on with very generous servings of whatever toppings you can dream of, all prepared and served with the type of passion for pizza we should all strive for. My favorite is their heavy-duty pizza(the 5969 calories version) covered in delightful droves of pepperoni + sausage, then coated with a thick layer of melted mozzarella cheese. Pizza Nirvana with each incredible bite. If you’re looking for a solid lunch meal, I usually go with 2 slices(pep/sausage extra cheese, pepperoni/sautéed mushrooms) and 2 cans of soda. Tricked out slices are about $ 4 each and the cans run for $ 1.25 each. If you’re ready for maximum enjoyment go for the 18-inch extra large pizza, one half pep/sausage/extra cheese, the other half pep/chicken/bacon. There are few things I’d rather spend $ 20+ on. Their subs are also large and flavorful, the steak sandwich with cheese is beauty and the beast on bread. Stuffed with incredibly juicy rib-eye steak, grilled onions, green peppers and cheese, joined together to create a work of art. As great as it looks, it tastes even better. Really good pizza. I got a slice of the jalapeño cheese pizza & it was delicious. First of all, they pile up the jalapenos which I LOVE! The pizza is sooo cheesy & the crust amazingly good as well as the tomato sauce. What I like about this place is that you can get a slice and order whatever toppings you want. Overall, the place is small with little sitting, parking is located in the back(that’s the entrance as well) Also, if you check in on Unilocal you get 10% off a pizza :) Xo, Naomi

My friends and I were in the mood for some good pizza and decided to give this place a try since one of my friends had been there before. It is in the heart of North Hollywood, on Magnolia. Great location if you want to walk around a bit, do some shopping, or even get coffee after you eat. This place is not the most glamorous place. It is a small little joint, with lots and lost of writings on the walls. I mean there are barely any spots open on their walls or ceiling. They have some photos of some of the celebrities that have been there before. They also have an open kitchen which makes the customers, like me, more secure knowing how the food is made. We decided to order the 16″ pizza and get different toppings. We did pepperoni, mushroom, black olives, meat lover, grilled onions and canadian bacon. One key and very important component that makes a good pizza a great one, is the crust. Not many people know how to make a good crust, but Joe Peeps definitely has mastered it. It is crunchy yet moist enough that holds all the ingredients and cheese together. Their tomato sauce is excellent. You can taste the fresh tomatoes and oregano and garlic in there. I’d say order your food to-go. The place isn’t that big. Great food! But not the best place to sit down to enjoy their delicious pizzas
