This is a nice convenient spot for anyone around the area that just wants to grab a drink and watch the game. It has lots of potential and worth giving a shot. The bartenders are always friendly.

When it comes to dive bars Pat’s is one of my faves. For me it starts with an affordable, stiff drink and they deliver. The bartenders and barbacks are always friendly and fun(shout out to Erica and Brett!). I’ve met quite a few of the other regulars here and everybody is cool and friendly. You don’t deal with any pretentiousness like you may have to at other bars in LA and I like that. Whether I’m there to watch a game, celebrate a holiday, or kick back with friends, I always have a good time. Depending on the night, you can play tunes from the jukebox, listen to the dj spin or enjoy some good ol’ karaōke with Jen. There is one pool table that only costs 50 cents to play and as many times as I have been here I didn’t realize they had a change machine for quarters. If you’re hungry you can go to the side window and order bbq from the restaurant next door(as a girl who grew up in the Southeast, I have to say it’s pretty good). Bottomline: if you’re looking for a low key dive bar with good drinks, great people, good music and fun vibes then check out Pat’s!

Meh vibe and misleading sign. I was curious about this place for a long time and then I finally went in March. The sign refers to it as a mixology bar, but the atmosphere doesn’t match. It’s just a box with a bunch of TVs in it, like a dive bar but without any character. It is best classified as a sports bar, I gues, and would be suitable if you like to watch sports on a big screen while you drink.

I’m going to start this by saying that we love dive bars, however, this is divier than most! The bartender was very nice but everything else was awful. I think that the manager was drunk. The regulars were just plain rude! They claim to be a Dodgers’ bar but only the back corner TV could get the game. I live in walking distance but will never go back. I’d rather pay for an Über and go somewhere more welcoming!

Once again fantastic experience. Even though the air was out they had made make shift air conditioning and the bar tender(sorry forgot to ask your name) was perfect! !

If I could give it a negative score I would. Went on 9÷3÷15. If you are not a regular you won’t get service. The bartender passed us by to serve what I am assuming was a regular.(She knew their names). The Dodger game was on, which was fine, however the volume was so high we couldn’t hear our own thoughts. The BBQ place next door also could use some manners. The food was OK service and attitude of wait staff was beyond rude.

What a shit hole. Nothing about the aesthetics of this place are in sync. From the random placement of the taps at far ends of the bar to the 80+ degree temperature, this place is all around bunk. Perhaps it’s a locals only kind of place? I didn’t feel welcome and left immediately. $ 6 for a Sam Adams on a Friday at 5pm won’t help this cause.

Came here on and Tuesday and a Sunday last week with a friend. First time here and I actually liked everything from the music, food next door, drinks, and females. They have a pool table and a 2015 jukebox that you can use an app to pick the music.

Good dive bar. 1 pool table. Good BBQ right next door! Vivian is funny and a great bartender.

This place just does everything wrong. Literally everything. Calling this bar a mixology bar is like calling 7 – 11 a gourmet market. There is no top shelf bourbon and the bar tenders can barely mix standards. The only thing about this place that is ok is the bbq spot next door. If you like mediocre sports bars that pump shitty music(WAY too loud) and can’t make a proper drink you will be in heaven here. It’s too bad because you could easily make this joint a chilled out and cool dive that would kill it. My advice drop a match and collect the insurance money.

Enjoying the weekend with family. Stop by Pats for drinks till last call. Bartender and bar back super friendly and knowledge. Note to owner that many tv really rises temperature inside bar and when you walk outside wham your DRUNK.

Pros: live music, decent prices, food onsite, pool tables, a lot of TVs. Cons: the drinks are nothing special, the music is loud so it makes talking harder especially with a larger group(we did really enjoy the music though). Overall it’s the best bar in this corner of Valley Village.

I organize big Thursday night drinking events for a group and it’s always interesting seeing how different locations work with me. Pat’s was fantastic. I reserved the space a few weeks in advance and they were super attentive and definitely tried to make the experience a good one. They succeeded. Got there and a bunch of tables were reserved for me and Jenn, the bartender, was fantastic! She was great at handling our group and the other bar patrons. Also, they share a wall with a Texas BBQ joint, which has a window for you to order at. The food was delicious but they did run out of the good stuff quickly, so if you are hungry make sure to order food first!

Checked out the place after seeing it on Bar Rescue. First of all, this is NOT a mixology bar, despite what bar’s sign says. I think the staff dumped the mixology stuff shortly after the show aired, so if that’s what you’re looking for, go somewhere else. That being said, Pat’s is a dive bar. That’s not a knock; I love dive bars. And as far as dive bars go, this is a very good one. After going there, I honestly don’t know what Jon Taffer was thinking trying to make this into a mixology bar. This is not the type of location or customer base that would be attracted to a mixology bar. It’s a more blue collar crowd, not hipsters or rich professionals. The interior is clean; it looks like the staff has maintained the cleanliness of the place since Taffer & Co. left. They’ve got a lot of great flat screens all over the bar. The window to the BBQ place next door is cool, and the food is solid… not great, but solid. Prices are excellent… or about right for a dive bar. The price of the food is a little steep, but you get a decent amount of food. The service is fantastic. The bartender, Vivian, who appeared on the show, is an absolute sweetheart; very friendly, & also very willing to talk about her experience on the show… which I was a little surprised about. I mean, she must get asked about the show all the time, & is probably sick of talking to Bar Resuce fanboys, but she graciously answered all my questions. Bottom line is that Pat’s is a great dive bar. If I lived closer, this might be my regular watering hole…

Don’t come here, they be crooks… The bar side at least. I live near by and trying to pick a favorite to go to. Came in, asked if it was happy hour, was told yes. Was asked what I drink, I said whiskey. I was told a price, after the drink was poured, was given a different price. I’m looking for a place to trust. If I can’t trust you sober, how the fuck can i trust you drunk. Then when I paid, I gave an extra dollar on purpose just to see, she pockets it, it’s always the little things. I intended on spending money here since its on my way home. Please learn thy customer must cometh first. Won’t be back.

I can’t believe this place, it just sucks. Bar Rescue more like Bar Failure. Just shut down already. You quit trying and have failed! Didn’t even have a cocktail menu, ended up ordering beer. :( NOT A COCKTAILBAR!!! Just a dive bar with losers running the place. Even the BBQ next door was disappointing. The whole staff should be fired for their sheer lack of enthusiasm. This place could be making money but the management is horrible. The owner should just sell the place and let a real owner and employees make money. I arrived on a Saturday night seeing updated outside of the building thinking the place would serve some special or unique cocktails, I could have not been more wrong. I ask for a menu, none. I ask ‘do you have any special cocktails’, no! :( I came for a cocktail, I left sad, sad for the people inside, just sad. Good thing is you can save yourself the time and not go here. You have been warned :) It’s time to put this horse down Unilocalers.

Had a good time. Manager showed up with 2 huge pizzas so I had dinner too! Dive bar to the max, managers wife was super sweet! Only down side is that the Bar-b-q place next store closes early. Would have loved a bite of BBQ to make sure I’m extra sober before I hit the road. The bar actually owns the bar-b-q place but have issues with them staying open late. They simply do not want too! When the lease ends Pat should put new restauranteurs there who are more willing to work with the bar. Everyone wins!

This bar is racist. I ask for a drink with my friend and they didn’t get us anything for 30 mins. I proceed to ask again… They acknowledge my order than went ahead and made other drinks and left The bar area after I stood infront of him the whole time. The waitress had a horrible attitude to my friend as well

Went one afternoon after my boyfriend saw the sign and was intrigued. Basically, this is a two ingredient drink spot. Get your beers, or ____and _____and you’ll be good to go. The staff that was there were great. Friendly, but with a bit of sass and great to talk to, there are plenty of pool tables and there is some yummy BBQ right next door. The only thing, this is not a cocktail lounge. We ordered a couple cocktails and they were not good… unless you don’t drink cocktails so you don’t know what they are supposed to taste like… but either way, the name is misleading. Pat’s is a bar. A really cool bar with fun patrons and great bartenders, skip the«cocktails» and you’re golden.

The show Bar Rescue came in and remodeled the place. Cons: Only one pool table now. Pros: the smell of puke is finally gone! Nice spot, cheap drinks. Some nights are karaōke. Some nights they have an open mic now. It’s a pretty good mix of regulars and folks coming through to watch a game or have a birthday party. I did prefer when they had multiple pool tables instead of just one but I’m pleased with the renovation. Oh, I can’t attest to the quality of the new«mixology» bar as I stick to beer but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Get it? Mixology. Mixed. Anyway…

Ask for water, you get tonic, DON’T ORDER A BLOODYMARY!!! I saw them pour vodka & a pre mix out of fridge, wtf? Bar Rescue come save them!!! I came here with Erick R because he said it was an L.A. Kings bar. they did have some things up but I wouldn’t call it a kings fan based bar… besides what fans would be able to stand the stink in here. it was combination smell of vomit + spoiled meat, which is why we only stayed for one small drink and left, even thou they had all the ceiling fans on, you couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by the smell. We couldn’t’ figure out what it was or where it came from it was just gross and made me nauseous. I do have to say I like that there was a very mixed crowd in the bar, they had 2 pool tables and if your hungry you can order directly from the bar to the BBQ place next door. I also like the fact they give the DD free soft drinks, that’s a big plus right there, very cool, but unfortunately the smell will keep me away. I don’t know if it’s because there was only less then a dozen people in here so the smell was more noticeable since I’ve heard this place get crowded on the weekends. it’s hard to say. for now I’m staying away till I read different that the smell is gone.
