Had a nice experience at The Canvas Peddler thanks to Pam. A vintage painting I have fell to the floor and the frame was damaged pretty badly. Pam understood the vintage quality of the piece and really explained how they would treat the painting with the care it required. She knows her stuff! The framer did a great job and went beyond the call. I am so happy, because even though I bought the painting for a steal at a thrift store, it is a very special vintage piece that was part of an estate and must have been dated in the 50’s or early sixties. Thanks to all at Canvas Peddler for such quality work and customer service!

I won’t go anywhere else for my framing and have been using this business for years over 100 pieces, all perfectly framed.
Pam is delightfully easy to work with and has an amazing eye for the matte and frame colors that work perfectly (and I am a very picky artist).
The quality and care of the work is museum /​archival… much better than you’d get at an art store. They run the spectrum from neat and simple to very fancy, as your piece requires. They also handle specialty framings like dimensional objects and complex matte arrangements.
If I had more wall space, they’d see more of me.

I was referred to the canvas peddlar by a friend and I’m so glad I actually went! I almost went to a bigger place cause I thought maybe it would be «easier». This is the BEST framing place in LA! I always enjoy the experience there. Look, I’ve only written 2 Unilocal reviews, and one is a bad one about a business whose owner menaced me and my friends with a hammer while shouting racist stuff. So it takes a lot for me to actually Unilocal something (is that the slang?!?). THAT’S HOW GOOD THIS PLACE IS!

I absolutely love The Canvas Peddlar! I get all my framing done here — and I’ve told anyone who would listen about them as well. Their suggestions always yield fantastic results and they are always the first to find ways to cut costs for me. I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

This place is great! I had some custom framing done for my anniversary. The poster was kind of quirky and kind of fun. Pam (the Showroom Manager) was so excited to help me pick out a frame for this kind of project. What we picked out together ended up being the highlight of the entire present. Everyone loved it especially my boyfriend. I had a tight time frame but they were able to work around it. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. Modest prices and great service.

Wow, I can’t believe that Canvas Peddlar hasn’t been reviewed yet! Probably because it’s a little off the beaten path. We have used them primarily for stretching canvas (for artwork), but they also do framing. In fact, we still use them although we’ve moved across the country and they are now 2000 miles away. Their quality is top-​notch, their service is personalized and really unbeatable. Simply put – they work hard to provide whatever it is you need. We trust them so much, that we will have them do work for us and then ship to the client, without ever having seen the finished product.
Seriously – if you have artwork that needs to be framed or canvas that needs to be stretched – these are the guys. They are fantastic for big orders (like, if you are an artist), but I’m pretty sure they will do one-​offs as well.
