love the product, hate the customer service. the lady who rang me up on Saturday around 1:30pm — 2pm was extrememly rude and gave me an attitude for no reason. All I asked was what was the difference in sizes and once I chose regular she started speeding me through my order with the most rude tone ever. I couldn’t believe it. I have nothing about my appearance that deserved this kind of treatment, in fact I’ve worked in fast foods places in the past and have never ever treated anyone the way she treated me. management needs to wake up and do something about her. I know hiring and training new staff is a headache, but sooner than later customers will avoid this place because of her.

Got home and my rice was completely hard, even though I came around 8pm an hour before closing time… I should still get some fresh rice if I am paying for it!

not only did they over charge us $ 22 by allowing us to order 3 dishes on grub hub that they«no longer make» but they said they would refund us that $ 22 and throw in an extra meal for the misunderstanding. not only did they completely mess up the remaining food, but they still charged us for non-existing food and then cut our order in half! the food is completely burned like char coal and not even hot, as if it was scraped off the bottom of a pan. it is disgusting and inedible. when we called to ask the manager to please handle the situation they were rude and dispondent. do not order food from here. it is awful, with poor costumer service & low quality meat. edit: the owner never bothered to return our call yet went on Unilocal to post a response lie about our order. good use of your time. poor management, garbage restaurant. poor costumer service. avoid like the plague(or just drive by it and see for yourself.)

Order before you go, they cook everything fresh so if you’re in a hurry the wait may take too long.

The woman that runs the register is horrible at customer service. She always messes up my order and has an attitude. Today I went to flame broiler the«healthy alternative» and I’m on a strict diet that I can’t have rice, I asked for a chicken and veggie bowl only and she said she was going to charge me extra, I said just put less in the bowl. Then she blew up at me and I walked out. For a fast food place trying to be a health alternative they should not penalize their customers who actually want to eat healthy.

Worst customer service ever! The girl who always rings me up is rude and very unhelpful!!! Do your job and just make food, don’t keep rolling your eyes or repeating my order like I didn’t just read you it four times. The cook is also extremely rude butting in with his two sense. Go to yoshinia if you want crap food and good service. This place sucks

This review will be plain and simple. The lady at the front register IS extremely rude. I noticed other reviewers have mentioned this before so I’m led to believe one of two things… 1) Management doesn’t really care about their restaurant’s sub-par customer service.(Otherwise they’d make drastic changes) or 2) The lady at the front register doesn’t have a happy bone in her body and actually believes that her«fowl»(pardon the pun) attitude is in fact charming; which it isn’t. My experience prompted me to leave a 1-star review on my phone as I sat waiting for my food. But the restaurant’s one saving grace was that the food was actually halfway decent(albeit only when smothered in their«special sauce» lol) hence a 2-star review. The Flame Broiler you have work to do! My advice? enroll your employees in charm school, they desperately need it.

A lot of people leaving reviews here probably expected a four course meal here and got butthurt. I don’t go here That often anymore but there was a period of time that I would go four– five times a week. What I love about flame broiler is that it’s fast. Even when it’s packed the longest I’ve ever had to wait was maybe four minutes or so. People keep complaining about the cashier but she always seems nice and very attentive to the store needs. Sweeping, restocking, etc. Portions are good. I am a big dude and I feel very satisfied after my meal; I do a lot of physical work so I come in with an appetite. The sauces are really good. And the macronutrients profile on the food can’t be beat. Best bang for your health and buck. Coming in today and use my coupons haha :)

I like flame broiler, it is quick and easy. I am big on customer service, but since it’s fast to get my food I disregard the mediocre customer service. It’s an area they definitely need to work on. Buttttt… Today was different, I got the pleasure to meet David which greeted me with a smile and took my order right away. He even asked how my day was going. He’s definitely a ray of sunshine for flame broiler which is much needed. Everyone that works here should follow his lead. Thanks David for a good experience on this visit. I appreciate it! Loyal customer!

I recently had a very unpleasant experience at the N. Hollywood store(Vineland at Magnolia). Posted clearly in the front store window, a large poster offered a chicken bowl combo w/drink. Offered as an integral part of the special was either white meat chicken OR a double meat of regular chicken. I placed my order at the register and was surprised to see the price charged was higher than shown in front. I had ordered the bowl with all white meat, as was offered, however the cashier attempted to charge me a higher price than shown in the window. I asked her to clarify, and she explained to tell me that the information in the window was not actually offering the white meat chicken with the special; that, in fact, the white meat ALWAYS costs extra with any order. So she was neither willing to honor the printed price, nor was she willing to add a note below the offer in the window clarifying that the price DIDNOT include white meat chicken with the special price. The cashier, a female, was rather rude and not inclined to render good customer service. Even when other customers in the store agreed with me about the price and white meat chicken, this strong willed young lady was adamant and would not bend to honor the posted window price. She offered the email address of the manager of the store and stated that the manager would not speak with customers directly on the phone, nor would she contact the manager herself to clarify the price. This store was truly a ship without a rudder. This was the first time I had ever entered a Flame Broiler, and needless to say, with the low standards of service demonstrated by the N. Hollywood store, I doubt I will return, nor will I be able to recommend them to anyone I know. BEWAREOFTHISPLACE.

Lady working cashier seemed irritated by customers, definitely not welcoming. She also gave my food to someone else. Beef is much better than chicken. Veggies are meh. Magic sauce is decent, I’d rather just have normal teriyaki sauce. You know that the food has been sitting for a while since they can get it to you in less than a minute.(fast) most people take Togo, probably cause the seating isn’t comfortable or clean.

I left a review about this place 4 moths ago because the service at that time was less than poor. The food had a disgusting smell I try to get a refund and the employees refused. The owner was there drinking beer. I know that because the employees went to him when I ask for my refund and he personally talk to me. But now I see a reply to my review to this place from someone that says is the owner, and all he is telling me is a bunch of lies. He said that he checked the video and audio and that the food was 75% consume. That’s a lie the food has such a disgusting smell that I dint even try it. Instead of reply with a bunch of lies you should work on deliver a good quality food end service to your customers If you are good on checking your store videos you can see your store is most of the time empty. I dare you to prove that what you’re saying is true.

I saw this place after getting a massage next door and decided to try it. I was not disappointed. I was expecting it be some sort of a Yoshinoya-ish kind of plate. But it wasnt at all. I always get the chicken bowl with brown rice or half brown rice and half grilled veggies. I only drizzle a little bit of the«magic» sauce and a lot of the hot sauce that they have. The food is good. Its light and its actually a good bowl to eat post workout.

I have visited many flame broilers. Many. I have received pretty good service… until i came here. Let me tell you why: 1. The cashier, was holding 2 conversations at the same time. One with me while taking my order, and the other with the cook. She asked me twice if i wanted onions, and both times i said yes. She didnt hear me the first time. She asked if it was for there or to go, twice. Again because she is so busy talking to the cook. The pro to my visit? The food was good. The customer service tho bummed me out.

My order came out a minute after i ordered, fast! +1 and they gave me a large amount of rice, but the lettuce and meat barely filled half the plate/area. I haven’t been to a flame broiler in a while, and I love everyone I’ve been to up to this point, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s the entire franchise cheaping out or if it’s just this restaurant.

I see a huge difference in this place. Air conditioning is on now and the place feels good. Great improvements and I’m glad my comment was taken serious and that I was able to help. Love the good healthy and perfect for after a gym session.

If you want an example of a place that started off great and went downhill like an RV with the brakes cut, this is it. I was here when they first opened and it was fantastic. The portions were full, food tasted great, managers were smiling and friendly. They were great for a long time. I came in here once recently after not having been here for a while, and man oh man this place has tanked hard. I came by a few more times after this to give them more of a chance, but now I can finally say this is just how they are now. As another reviewer said, everything about this place screams pennypinching now. — The sauce cups used to be large, but now they’re so tiny that you can barely use them to dip anything. — chopsticks gone. — Sriracha sauce gone. Apparently the reason for this is that it competes with their in-house hot sauce, which tastes terrible. — all three times that I returned, the chicken bowl I ordered looked just like a huge bowl of rice with barely a smattering of chicken on top, almost like an afterthought. It used to be packed on there to the point where it was almost bursting out underneath the plastic lid. — Rice was kind of dry and hard — The atmosphere of the place has changed too. The staff used to be very friendly but now they just seem disinterested. I realize this is just a place to get a quick chicken bowl, not a fancy restaurant, and I can forgive a lot of this stuff(except the banishing of the Sriracha), but the food quality and portion sizes are no longer worth it. Won’t be coming back here anymore.

When I go to flame broiler I don’t expect a four star meal. I just need a quick beef and rice type of thing. The place is clean and convenient. The employees are nice and the food isn’t bad either. There isn’t any outdoor seating but there’s usually plenty of seats inside. Oh and don’t get scared when you hear water dropping.(Almost like a waterfall sound) it’s just the soda machine. Oh and don’t forget to try the magic sauce. It truly is magical.
