Our Peruvian friends took us here for lunch, and wow, the meal was spot-on. The ceviche(cobia) was super fresh, locally caught, and so well seasoned in the marinade. Another standout was the risotto rocotto con cameron. Pleasant, attentive service, casual clean place, and above all, memorable Peruvian food!

This place is homey and we come often with the family… Antony has a great team in the kitchen and serving… Their roasted chicken is very good we always order it and their lomo saltado is also something we usually have in the table… I did try their aji salad and look at it… Very nice and finally a nice dressing… Congrats! Will keep on coming guys! Also, tonight I tried the lomo saltado risotto, I personally would go with the traditional dish… In the other hand, they did include new recipes on the menu today… Enjoy Sorry, me again… Don’t know why the last one did not post… Just want to add that this time around, they have added to the menu and have improved the salads… So high five for Tony and thanks for listening… Cheers

I visited Aji quickly after a long day of shopping and getting things done around Aventura. My daughter and I were in the mood for fried rice but not quite the overpowering flavors of full blown Asian. How spoiled we are in Miami that we can crave such a thing We were greeted and seated promptly. The service was nice, attentive. We glanced at the menu with rice in mind and yes, Peruvian fried rice ! We placed out order to share of course. These dishes are always large. After about 20 min or so our rice arrived. The flavor was good, it wasn’t overly season and had a generous amount of seafood. It was missing a little more Asian kick. I know what you’re thinking… lol…but even for a Peruvian fried rice, you can hint the subtle taste of peppers, ginger, soy sauce… something. This was lacking in that area, but as I said it was tasty. I would return and sample some of their ceviche and other dishes… if I’m in the area of course :)w

We came to this place for lunch on a weekend. When we arrived, we were the only people there; later there was one other table. That said… It took a long time for us to get our drinks and food. The service was slow, like many restaurants in Miami. When we finally did get our food, it was good, but not outstanding. The ceviche was not very fresh. The lomo saltado was better — I would probably order that again. The seafood risotto was somewhat salty. I did not try any of the drinks. Overall, this place is better than some others, but there is room for improvement. If I go there again I may try the chicken instead. Peruvian food is amazing… so my expectations are high!

I cannot begin to describe how disappointed I am with this restaurant. I have ordered here twice just for the sake of giving them a second chance but I HIGHLYREGRETIT!!! My first bill being of 70 $ and my second at $ 100. Thinking they value customer comments is awfully off. A 23 $ entrée was the size of an appetizer and it contained the sticker from the pepper. The teriyaki salmon was cut into two small squares that would have been great for a appetizer without the pepper sticker on your food Ofcourse. The octopus on olive sauce was undercooked and flavorless… I mean you can at least add salt to the boiling water. One of the orders was a shrimp and fish acevichado and thankfully not bad. The flavors were there … Very very there(so there you couldn’t taste the fish or shrimp) the fish … Could have been a great fish … But it was overcooked :( To say the least, I believe they have a new chef and apparently quality and quantity lack!!! Stay away from here !!! There are many many many other Peruvian fusion restaurants to try !

Very nice little Peruvian spot tucked away in North Miami Beach. Service was spot on perfect. Usually servers in Miami are not great(to put it kindly), but our waiter really went above and beyond. He explained the menu, made recommendations, offered ideas for food pairing, you name it. I love Peruvian food, but I’m a white boy from Central Florida, so I do not claim to be an expert. With that said, this was good Peruvian food. The ceviche sampler was on point. My favorite was the green. My wife loved the yellow. We both enjoyed all 4 of the offerings. My wife had the seafood risotto and boy was it tasty. I had the classic lomo saltada and it was about as good a version as I have tried. The meat was exceptionally well prepared and had a very good flavor. They offer a lomo risotto that I am kind of kicking myself for not trying because I had never seen that before. Anyway, all the food was definitely above average. It’s a small place. It’s more formal than La Granja, but not fine dining. Finding parking was easy. The prices are on the higher side of average, but it’s worth it to shell out a few extra bucks for good food and good service. Check them out. You’ll leave happy & full.

The best Lomos Saltado my wife has ever had and she’s Peruvian. The fettuccine verde con filet mignon was excellent! Soooooooo good, service is great, and the prices you can’t beat. I would of happily paid double for all of it. It’s that good.

I’m very excited about reviewing this restaurant, Aji Carbon, in North Miami Beach. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place here, near to Aventura, In fact I never drive through the street, in North Miami Beach, so I was very intrigued. Finally, one of those days I went into the restaurant and I have to say that I love it the food, the service, the quality of the food and the presentation. I love the octopus, I love the ceviche and the chicken, so I have to go back to taste some more dishes. For example, the steak with green fettuccine, that I saw passing by, and that looked amazing, so expect my next review. All nice and tender well-cooked and lots of flavor Also, the Chef is always around checking on his patrons. I think that Aji Carbon, is one of the best kept secrets, of Peruvian food restaurants in Miami. As you can see, I don’t do many reviews, but I think this small, but great tasting restaurant, is definitely worth it.

We’ve come here several times for lunch and dinner and have had a amazing meal during each visit. I love this place. It’s my second favorite peruvian restaurant. The restaurant and the decorations are very simple. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing. If you love seafood like me you’ll enjoy it here. The prices are affordable as well.

Though Aji Carbon is a restaurant with a rather generic décor, it shines with delicious innovative Peruvian foods. When I entered I was immediately greeted seated and given a bowl of canchitas to nibble on while perusing their menu offerings. As this was my dining partners first experience with Peruvian foods he asked a number of questions which our waiter was more than happy to explain in detail and make recommendations according to his specific tastes. For myself, I first ordered their Tradito Sampler which was served in exquisite presentation, beautiful in color, a combination of tuna, ginger and salmon with cilantro, maracuya and fish in yellow pepper. At first taste I fell in love with it as it had a certain freshness about it as well as varying delightful flavors the likes of which I’ve never had before. For me this was a real eye opener to the finer cuisines of Peru, and something I will be back to have again. For my main, I ordered a lamb shank done with cilantro on a bean sauce. Again, it came in exquisite presentation, perfectly done and totally flavorful. Though somewhat lacking in fine dining atmosphere its foods and food presentations are, particularly in comparison to most Peruvian restaurants, totally eye appealing and delicious. So, as Peruvian restaurants go, Aji Carbon is a Five Star to me.

Aji Carbon is as authentic as it gets. 5 solid stars for its taste, presentation, and atmosphere. Aji Carbon is a hidden gem located in North Miami Beach. It provides an intimate setting for small groups and families to have a relaxing meal in a low key atmosphere. The restaurant’s aesthetic is simple and nondescript: the plating is the only artwork you’ll need. The restaurant features an extensive list of Peruvian classics that will suit everybody’s palate. I’ve tried several dishes and they are all satisfying. My favorites are the heavenly Causa Pollo and the decadent Fetuccinne Huancaína with filet mignon. Both are excellent choices. The service was exemplary in quickly responding to kitchen errors, keeping your water filled, and explaining dishes in detail. If you enjoy a casual dinning experience and elevated taste at a reasonable price, you need to make a trip to Aji Carbon. I can’t wait for many more return visits!

Searched Unilocal for ceviche restaurants near work and this was the first on the list. Parking is located in the back of the building and is somewhat limited. There is an entrance from the parking lot that makes it convenient to enter. The décor is very inviting and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. Ordered the ceviche tres ajies and a meal while my co-worker did the same. The waiter who was very knowledgable of the dishes and the ingredients, informed use that it would be too much food for us and we should consider ordering only one ceviche. Which we did. We were grateful for his advice. The ceviche tres ajies was so good and filling that I thought I wouldn’t be able to eat any of my food. But I stretched and was able to eat a third of my meal. In addition I sampled the risotto my co-worker ordered. I left full, satisfied and looking for my second trip to this heavenly find.
