DISGUSTING!!! We ordered take out last week and found 3 roaches in the bag of wings. We called to complain and they offered to give us more wings. They don’t seem to think it’s any big deal to find roaches in your food.

I was hesitated at first because there are two reviews here complained about the smell. If you know how authentic Chinatown restaurants the way the smell. It is normal. Yes it can be little bit more cleaner as far as the tables and chairs … I would say the food is above average. If you want Some Chinatown like food. You can come here.

Everything was so yummy! The Beef chow fun(ho fun) was very fresh. They make their own noodle in house for the dish instead of the dried noodles in the bag. Each dim sum dish is only around $ 3– $ 4, what a deal. In addition, thw egg tarts, and their buns are amazing! There are many style of dim sum restaurants around. I personally like«cook to order» because it comes out hot and fresh like Sang’s. I personally dislike cart dim sum(Pine Court) because I’ve experienced multiple occasions where the food wasn’t hot, but just warm… ughhh, yuck… Plus all the germs and bacteria collecting on certain dishes while making it’s round will make you sick if the dishes can’t sell… Cook to order is still the way to go!

I’m not from the area but my family and I were trying to find a place that’s authentic. We saw this place on a newspaper ad and it wasn’t too far from the airport so we decided to give this place a try. It’s not the best place, but it certainly isn’t too bad. I took off two stars because the food is just SUPER greasy but the taste is still there. I ordered egg tarts & they didn’t have any… And the place is just dark. They literally only have like 8 lights on and it’s not even lighting up the place. But besides that, I’d give the place a try. They have authentic Chinese food and the prices are reasonable.

I went here for the dim sum. They didn’t have a dim sum cart, just a menu with no descriptions. I ordered: stuffed eggplant, steamed shrimp dumplings, and pork ribs. The stuffed eggplant and steamed shrimp dumplings = a solid 4 stars. The pork ribs were horrible. I’ll be generous and give the ribs a negative two star rating. It was like trying to eat someone’s toes. They were really small(around two inches) and 80% bone, 15% fat and 5% meat. I clearly ordered the wrong dish and asked the waitress if I could send it back. I explained to her that I was expecting something like spare ribs where meat generally comes with it. She said I couldn’t take it back. So I got the check, went home and made myself some pasta.

Have only tried dim sum menu and is always consistent with its level of customer service and excellent dishes. Enjoyed the made to order dim sum as oppossed to the typical push-cart.

3.5 stars. Went during the holiday season and this restaurant was practically entirely empty. It’s very spacious with typical round tables that accommodate larger groups for dim sum. They had a large selection of dishes and some that I’ve never tried before, which was a plus. It seems that they have many fried dishes which I am not a personal fan of but others at my table liked. I really enjoyed the noodles and chao fun, spare ribs and chicken feet. Would not recommend the fish congee-a bit bland. The food felt a bit on the greasy side but definitely very normal for a Chinese place. Liked that all of the dishes were decently sized and fairly cheap. Service was also relatively fast. Seems like a solid place for dim sum but definitely kind of out in the middle of nowhere and away from the action.

I came here for New Year’s Day as this was my first meal out for 2016, I decided to try somewhere new and somewhere open! I really liked the dim sum here! Everything was excellent and the service was very friendly and quick! Their shrimp rice roll and the sauce was one of the best I’ve had and everything tasted fresh and I left extremely full and satisfied! Also each item runs around $ 3 which is a great value! I ordered 10 items off the dim sum menu and it was the perfect amount of food for the 3 of us! We had to leave two shrimp dim sum because we were stuffed! The servers were so nice as they were eating their lunch at 4:00pm, they still would make sure our tea was filled and had everything we needed! The only disappointment was that they were all sold out of the sticky rice in lotus leaf! But that just gives me a reason to come back again! I definitely will be coming back here as the location is more convenient for me! I love me some dim sum!!!

The food seemed authentic and there was a number of Chinese patriots having Dim Sum on a Sunday. The food was okay but the service was terrible. I’m usually patient and understanding about short staffing but this was a lack of attention, and borderline rude. At the very least it was reasonably priced. I had a stomach ache the rest of the day, not sure if the food is what caused it(but it was all I ate.) Overall it was not absolutely horrible, but I doubt I would go back to this place.

No décor, horrible looking place. HOWEVER the food was VERY good. We had chicken fried rice, spare ribs, chicken snow peas and broccoli, chicken chop suey, chicken and garlic sauce, and pork chow mien. I look forward to going back. Many asians there(85%) that is a good measuring stick, like seeing Jews in a deli :)

Their food is delicious! Service excellent. Consistently great. However you must like real Chinese food that you would get in Chinatown in New York not the run of mill Americanized version.

I’ve read some of the other reviews that are unhappy with the décor and food quality at Sang’s. I suppose it’s either people expect a «nouveau-tech» décor or «asian fusion» type menu that one would find on Miami Beach… or they’re just morons who prefer tepid buffet-style, all-you-can-eat places. But, who am I to pass judgement on the mentally handicapped? I’m from New York(Brooklyn, actually) and weekly trips to Chinatown, across the Brooklyn Bridge was a lifelong practice. When I was in school, going three or four times a week to the dirtiest place on Doyer Street was how I fed myself(and my dates for under $ 10!), so décor was never a big concern to me. It was always about the food and not finding a cat ear in the steamed pork buns. Sang’s is not the most updated décor in town. It reminds me of the best places in Chinatowns in L.A., S.F. and N.Y.C. but the food is authentic, hot, clean and the word«Mao» doesn’t refer to the sound the meat makes before its head is chopped off. The person who took me there admitted that the servers can be brusk at times, depending on the crowd, but we had a lovely gentleman named«Rudi» Han who was helpful, friendly, quick and very funny. The food was wonderful! Having lived in Missouri for 16 years because I married a Missouri girl I met in N.Y.C.(and eventually they want to move back home because a.) the big city frightens them, and/or b.) they roped a big city boy who won’t stand for the small town passive aggressive crap their family lives on), I only found one good Chinese good place and it was because they were from New York. They went out of business because the local yokels didn’t understand authentic Chinese food and demanded pizza be at the buffet with mashed potatoes and cheesecake for dessert. Perhaps that’s the problem with the negative reviewers? How about a big helping of Mai Dong or a steaming plate of Phuc Yu? I don’t know what you’re looking for in Chinese food, but if you want authentic dim sum, then Sang’s is the place. If you care about flash and no substance, then Sang’s isn’t the place for you. All the more room for fans of real Chinese dishes.

Sang’s Chinese Food was recommended to us by. another Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood. The place looks like a regular Chinese eatery, nothing fancy there. Our waiter was an older Chinese gentleman who was extremely nice and helpful. Brought the white Chinese menu and the red«American» one, plus the dim sum, and was very attentive to all our requests. We ordered steamed shrimp, shrimp with scallions, and a few other favorites off the dim sum menu, shredded duck rice noodles, and the sweet and sour chicken for our kid. All the dim sum dumplings were very good. The duck noodles were non-greasy and very tasty. Our kid was happy with the sweet and sour chicken too. At the end of the meal, we were chatting with our waiter and he told us to take a look at the table next to us just to see what they had — it was the roast duck. He said that we should try it next time. Well, the man at that table saw this, got up and brought the duck to us and insisted that we take a couple of juicy pieces. He said that, besides this one, there is only one more restaurant in Miami that prepares the duck so well. We tried it and it was DELICIOUS! Really, really good! Turned out, the man, who offered us the duck, is a chef himself, and works at a Japanese restaurant. Yes, you read that right. A chef of a Japanese restaurant came to Sang’s to have some of that duck. To me, that speaks volumes. So next time(and we are DEFINITELY coming back), we are ordering the duck… in addition to dim sum, of course! ;) Something to keep in mind: the dim sum chef is only there from 11 till 4 p.m. but 7 days a week. So if you are coming specifically for dim sum, please keep that in mind. Overall, Sang’s is a good Chinese restaurant with good food, a good selection of dishes, good prices and good service.

They changed the chef. The dim sum was frozen, reheated, and g-d awful. I will not go here again. Extremely disappointed, as this had been my weekly dim sum place for a couple months.

This place is horrible. –Location is VERY dirty. While eating I literally saw a roach walking in the table next to mine. –Service is non-existent. –Food was not that good and it was cold(eatable) –Waitresses were talking very loud like they was disagreeing with something, made it very uncomfortable for the visitors

The servers here literally fawned over my baby for half the meal… one of them actually picked him up out of his high chair, it was sweet and I loved the compliments so I added a star! The menu here is a little adventurous even for us. We didn’t realize the portions were so big, so Hubby ordered like a ton of food – its not pricey so that’s good! Anyway I think most of the meat dishes we had were ok, the beef and noodles dish was actually good, but the seafood dishes were a little on the sketchy side. I would probably come back and try more of their stuff, but skip the seafood.

I thought that the beef and noodles dish was pretty good and the service was really, really friendly, but the rest of the food was average to below average. The bacon wrapped shrimp dish was not good… at all. It had a sauce that tasted like ketchup on it and the shrimp tasted«off.» The rib dish was very strange. It was steamed pieces of rib bones with tiny pieces of meat attached to it. The duck and noodles dish was ok, but not nearly as flavorful as I was hoping. The fried squid was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I was hoping for better. Prices are very reasonable for the portions you receive. The food just isn’t very good(especially the seafood).

this place is worst ever in my Chinese restaurant experience: room is dirty, the waitress is careless and the meat in the fried rice turned sour, curry fish ball taste horrible; dim sum is rather disappointing comparing to regular frozen dim sum you can find in the Asian supermarket. Please avoid this restaurant if you want to have a decent meal other than a lousy cheap make-do.
