Probably one of the worst happy hour experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Ok so they’re rude and that’s the schtick but the jokes genuinely suck. There’s a way to do dirty/blue/offensive humor and then there’s the Dick’s method of the same recycled horse shit guest after guest. «Women in the kitchen» «gays are weird» «vagina!» — no thanks. Really dumb. If you find this stuff funny, you clearly need to finish high school. Despite that, their«happy hour» advertises as domestic beers for $ 2.50 and this is one of the only places that doesn’t include Yeungling as a domestic beer. Total bait and switch and we got charged $ 4.75 for each beer despite the bar tender knowing we were there for happy hour for a couple drinks. Supposedly it only includes Miller and Bud — but it doesn’t say this anywhere. Our party ended up getting in an argument with management. If you love overpriced domestic beers, bait and switch, offensive jokes with a crap structure, you’ll love this place. If you graduated high school, steer clear.

First time i went here was in 2013 when i moved to SC… place was cool after seeing it on travel channel or some other show… i had the chicken covered in jalapeño sauce and it was good. Returned in 2015 to see the price’s of these small meals jacked through the roof i mean it should say $$$$ on this place cause if you were to bring a family of 4 get ready to dish out $ 100 plus vs going to some othere place and have the same amount of food for $ 60 that even taste better. Never go again due to high price small portioned mediocre meals.

This restaurant was quite an experience. Way different from any other place. Of course going here you have to be prepared for the servers to actually act like a «Dick» towards you. It was funny. The food was totally average, nothing to get excited to want to eat it again some other time. And it’s super expensive. I feel like that supposed to be a part of the«dick» joke, to have regular food really expensive? I don’t know. But it was a fun place to go to while on vacation. Good place to take a group of college friends.

It was quite entertaining. Our waiter Tim, was really great and funny. He definitely made the experience one to remember. The dinner menu was not very appealing so I opted for an appetizer as dinner. The crab balls were pretty good, not sure how much crab was in them though. Between the food and drinks, it all was a bit overpriced.

Man! You have to have a sense of humor to enter into this land of insults and yells! The hats will take you aback for a second if you’re black and visiting the south! Once inside, it’s all in good fun! Food was was actually not so great.

Hilarious staff. Fresh insults. Sweet t-shirts. I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the insanely high priced food. It’s not even that good to be honest. I got the fish and chips meal. By the taste and quality of the meal i would expect it to be priced around $ 8 – 9. I remember paying somewhere around $ 15. My girlfriend got the crab leg meal. It was good and had plenty of crab that was cooked perfectly, but I am not so sure the price reflected the meal. Same with the appetizer and drinks too. Of course you might be paying that little extra for the entertainment, but I thought my tip reflected that. Who knows? Either way, we had a great time and sat outside over the water. It sits over a wildlife preserve and there are alligators in plain sight! It was a great dinner with a beautiful view. I left with a t-shirt and my beer glass. Overall I recommend it, but it’s a place you go once or twice in your life. If the prices were lower I would stop by every time I went to myrtle beach.

If you don’t have a sense of humor, this is not the place for you. Had a great time, waitress was awesome and the things she said were to funny. She made fun of us every chance she got. To hear the others and what they said was also funny. Very upbeat atmosphere. You definitely need a sense of humor to eat here

I had a decent experience at Dicks tonight. The food was average… nothing special. I enjoy the whole game of the place with the staff being rude to you. Drinks were way on the pricey side. They let you keep the glass in most cases… I suppose that’s how they justify charging so much.

Funny hilarious dining entertainment for family or even groups, relaxing. A place to come eat dinner and have a few laughs with family & friends. The jokes just keep coming from the emcee!

This place is so much fun! We went with our three kids and my father in law and we all enjoyed it! The concept if different as any other restaurant since they are purposely rude to you in a very funny way. For instance, you ask for napkins and the throw a bunch up in the air lol same with straws. Kids enjoyed the fun and my father in law enjoyed the good a lot! He had the wing they were delicious and big portions, served in a bucket with fries. We had 32oz beers that were pricey but we got to take the glasses home with us, I posted a picture of them. A must go place if you are in town!

As promised, the staff were all«dicks». They provided an entertaining dinner and for some good laughs. The food was excellent! It was good old southern comfort food made really well and in a good portion. The only down side of this restaurant is that our waiter went too far on one occasion and made us all feel uncomfortable and he targeted a certain member of our party in a cruel way. Beware if you tell them it is your birthday!!!

Definitely an experience. Not one I care to repeat. It’s different, obviously. Everyone knows the staff is supposed to be rude. I didn’t know, however, the staff is allowed to cuss customers out. Interesting. It’s also extremely loud. Our server was decent. He was a dick LOL that is to be expected. If you’re looking for good food, this is NOT the place to go. Food is TERRIBLE. Especially for the price. I had the seafood platter, and first time it came out it was cold. I mean ice cold. Our server definitely apologized. After biting into the 2nd plate, the fish was good but everything else was just mediocre. Not worth $ 20 in my opinion. Stay away from anything with alcohol in it!!! My mother and sister in laws ordered something not realizing it was $ 26 a piece!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Definitely will never be back. Ever.

Food was pretty good. It was a very fun experience. As rude as the service is supposed to be, it was really a fun experience. Hamburger was a hamburger, nothing super special. Chicken strips were really good and better yet they were hand breaded. Our waitress was awesome and was hilarious!

Loved it — was worth every penny. I read some of the other reviews about bad food and tiny portions and overpriced but I have to disagree. I am 6’1220lbs and left completely full off of half an appetizer and a meal of shrimp and fries. Our waitress Greta was just right as far as cockiness and sh*t talking but still friendly enough to get us something if we needed it. All you cheap asses can go elsewhere — spend some $ and enjoy a fun dinner!

Dicks is unlike any restaurant you have ever been to and that’s not a bad thing. It’s not the food that separates it from all others but, instead, it is the intentional abuse handed out by the staff that makes it unique. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the décor. It’s hard to describe so let’s say it is cluttered chic. A little bit of any and everything can be found hanging from the ceiling and walls; motorcycles, boats, stuffed animals, signs, to bras and panties at the bar. The wait staff will usually try to get a feel as to your tolerance to their shtick before going all out. They aren’t going to cuss you put or anything but will try and pick on people especially those that can be hard to please. It’s all in good fun so relax and give it back to them. The food is nothing special and the servings seem purposely small. Another«Dick» move done by the restaurant? Perhaps. I usually get the chicken and ribs which really isn’t bad but like I said, serving size is small so it will leave you wanting more. The price for what you get is high. We paid $ 96 for four people which wouldn’t be a bad deal if it had been really delicious food. And $ 3 for a soft drink seems a bit much but nowadays that seems to be the industry norm. The whole point of going to Dicks isn’t so much the food but more of the experience. So getting a good waiter makes the expense worth it. Some people are cut out for it while some aren’t. Get a waiter that can really read people and keep everyone laughing makes it worth the over-priced food. Unfortunately that is not always the case.

Went for a drink late night on a Saturday in July. Pretty dead worked in our benefit. Two bartenders were awesome. I like the place and décor … Been to many dicks… Same set up. Just got drinks. Got tooty fruity snd husband got a beer. I got to keep my mason jar. Bartenders nice. Cool place. Good drinks. Good experience.

We will never ever eat at a Dick’s Last Resort again. The only good part about dick’s was leaving. Our waiter was funny and had good jokes. Other than that he sucked! We were never offered refills on our drinks. Four of us were finished with our meal before my son got his meal. The food portions are super super super super small!!! We actually had to go to another restaurant right after we left Dicks to eat dinner for a second time because we were still very hungry. We consider ourselves very well tippers and are very easy to please. That being said this was the first time in my life that we left ZERO dollars for a tip. That is how bad our experience at Dick’s was. I wish I could GIVEZEROSTARS!!!

Before going to this place I read some of the reviews and was pretty concerned. However, upon going there, those concerns disappeared. The ambiance of Dicks is really unique, and as many have said on here before, if you don’t have a sense of humor and can’t handle taboo terms, this place is not for you. Our waiter was incredible, very funny and kept with the cheapskate feel of the restaurant. Our food was extremely quick. By the time we ordered it was out. Everything comes in a bucket so be prepared for that. The food was good, bar like food. I got the ribs and they were satisfying. Only complaint about the food was that it was pretty expensive, but I figured it was bc of the hilarious condom hat and jokes you get as well. Overall I thought Dicks was a good experience, and I would highly recommend going with a group of friends. Not that great for kids. Also– a friend in my party has many allergies and our waiter gave her a printed out list of menu items that were categorized into what you can and cannot eat with a peanut allergy, gluten free, etc. So I thought that was cool.

I never like the restaurants where people are intentionally rude to you. Who likes that? However, it was my sister’s choice and I figured we’d give it a shot. We had 5 adults and 2 kids and just walking in and hearing bad language off the bat we were thinking«uh oh. what did we get into?» However, our waitress was great! She kept with the theme, had fun with us, and never cursed in front of the kids. She even made the kids their own hats! «Brat in a hat» with a little hole cut out for his face was perfect for the littlest one. Is it our fault for taking kids to a place called Dick’s? Yes. But I think they really play off the group and who they’re serving. So why 3 stars? Eh. the food was just ok. You really don’t go for the food. Fried shrimp, fried fish, french fries, and more fried stuff. Overall pricey for food and drinks and really pushing the sell on the t-shirts and branded cups. I’m glad the experience redeemed my dislike of places like Dick’s, but wouldn’t ever«crave» going back.
