Gino’s NY Style Pizzeria

We visited North Myrtle Beach and wanted some pizza. The pie was a true hand tossed thin crust. The sauce was tastey and not full of sugar. I had a Budda Bing with pepperoni, green peppers, pineapple, black olives and ham. If you have stopped eating pizza because the crust is too thick, go to Gino’s when in North Myrtle Beach so you can savor a pizza again!
It is a small shop so be prepared to wait for you food.

Not a huge fan of this place, I ordered a large pizza last night. When I called the staff member that took my order was friendly and I was assured my order would be delivered quickly. The only reason I am giving this place three stars is for the customer service and the delivery time. The pizza it’s self was terrible. From the time I ordered to the time of delivery it was about 25 minutes. That was impressive and I really appreciated the quick delivery and cheerful delivery guy. However, my pizza was cold and greasy and just didn’t taste very good in general. Again although I appreciate the customer service i didn’t even finish my piece of pizza, my 6 year old who loves pizza complained as well and didn’t finish his piece either. $ 20 some odd dollars wasted on a pizza no one would eat. We won’t order from this place again.

We stopped by just passing through town, but the pizza was good enough to satisfy. It was piping hot and I still don’t have skin on the roof of my mouth, but the flavor was good and that’s what matters. I’ve had better pizza and I’ve had worse. If you’re looking for a cheaper and quicker place, Gino’s fits the category.

This maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had outside of the NY/​NJ metro area. I know my pizza (NJ Native) and this is amazing stuff. Trust me.

This pizza was disgusting. I’ve never had green pepper that was brown and mushy like that before. What was that? And there was a ton of it! It looked like something they got out of the garbage. The «sausage» was some kind of weird slices of something. I would never eat here again. Gross gross gross.

Good pizza. At first I didn’t think they had much business for a Friday evening. By the time we left (about 45 minutes later) they had taken over 20 (mostly to go) additional orders. Not sure what would have made it a 5. We don’t have much experience with thin crust.

I agree, great pizza and the cashier does came across a bit gruff… but hey that’s authentic NY style, but give it a sec and you can break thru with a bit of southern charm ;]

We ordered delivery from here around 5pm. Told us it would be about an hour. When we still hadn’t received pizza at 6:30pm I called back and after sitting on hold for 10 minutes I was told it should be there any minute. Waited another 30 minutes still no pizza. I called them back to say forget it but was again placed on hold until phone rang again and then disconnected (another 10 mins). Pizza finally arrived 2 hours 15 mins after we ordered and was COLD! Delivery guy said he had issues with the order before ours but that’s it… nothing else. I tried to call to complain but the line was busy and I could never get through again. Won’t ever order from here again

One of the first places we tried in Myrtle Beach, a few years ago. Saw their special posted outside. Two slices and a drink-​$ 5! in a tourist area!!! The slices were HUGE, and the pizza was authentic New york style. What happened next blew my mind. I asked if I could order Mushrooms on it. They said it was .50 extra. when I got it, I almost fell over. You know those little cans of mushrooms you see in the supermarket. There must have been a whole can on each piece. I was in mushroom heaven. We spend the summer in Myrtle Beach and we’ve visited all of the Gino’s (he keeps adding more-​Surfside, carolina forest, rt 501 !) dozens of times for their pizza. Thanks Gino’s for bringing a good old fashioned pizza to Myrtle Beach!

Ordered a large pepperoni pizza and bbq wings for my family. Thought both were great. Will come again.

Best deal in Myrtle beach! The 5.00 lunch special can’t be beat. 2 huge delicious slices and a soda. The pizza is true New York style. Do not pass it up.

Best pizza in town. 4 star simply because they aren’t the friendliest people but we just take out.

Had pizza here 4 times in last 6 months. First time it was FANTASTIC, just like real Yankee pizza with a perfect crust. Next time really good too. The last two times only the young employees were there and quality suffered some. Also, they should know better than bleach the place during the lunch rush… fumes ruined the whole experience.

The lady who takes orders is the female version of the «Soup Nazi» on Seinfeld; we’re constantly frightened she’ll say, «Come back one year!!» if we order wrong. But the pizza is terrific and the baked Italian sub is as well — both get 5 stars. And the other people there are nice. We go several times each year and try to stay on our best behavior. ;)

Great food, resonably priced. We have had stromboli, which is enough for two, and antipasti salad, which is enough for two. Tried the spinach pinwheel too, which was great.

You can tell this place uses cheap ingredients. The pizza was average at best and pricey for the quality. I read reviews that said this place had authentic NY pizza — that is totally incorrect because it isn’t even close to NY pizza. This is the kind of food where you feel like you wasted the opportunity for a good meal and got ripped off in the process. Overall a huge disappointment!!!

In myrtle beach on family vacation. Read some reviews on Unilocal,about Gino’s and they were spot on. This place is awesome! We will be back. The pizzas are huge by the way.

I’ve been here twice in the past week since I moved into the area which should speak volumes about how good this place is! Hailing from Brooklyn, NYC, this pizza place reminds me of home.
Massive slices that barely fit on your plate, nice crunchy crust that cracks when folded and a tip that falls over with oil and cheese. DELICIOUS.
So glad to find a little piece of home when I’m so far away.

Haven’t been to this place since I wrote my first review (2010), so I stopped by last night and grabbed one slice of pepperoni. It was okay, except that the crust was crunchy. If you go, stick with a fresh pie, and skip the individual slices.
