A great little greasy spoon style spot! The food is delicious, prices are easy on your wallet & service is spectacular. The only issue was the wait to be seated for a weekend breakfast.

Eat the pancakes! They are amazing. Outside of that nothing is more than average, including service. We went on a Tuesday morning around 9a and got sat immediately. The host literally just motioned for us to follow her, no words, no smiles just a come hither. Our waitress was efficient, not super friendly or helpful, but it’s a fast breakfast(Waffle House style) service restaurant. The bacon is good, not great. The grits are creamy but a bit lackluster. The eggs are good, very buttery. The coffee is typical of a pancake house. Convenient location and food comes out within 5 minutes. I would recommend, but just for pancakes.

Breakfast fare standards served large and satisfying. There was a wait line & I understand why. Front of the house person was surly and ungracious, but opposite was true of the friendly table service & when we paid the check. It’s a great breakfast option if you like traditional morning options and large, quality portions.

This place is just amazing– we make it a point to stop here every time we leave Myrtle Beach. It does get busy, so be prepared to wait for a table. However it is a large restaurant and we’ve never had to wait for than 15 minutes or so. The inside is very dated– think 1970s complete with wood paneling and plastic flowers galore. It also serves a large population of senior customers and families. However you will not find a better, more filling breakfast not sweeter service anywhere. You can usually find a 10% off coupon in the MB magazine as sure to tip your servers well– these girls work hard and will take good care of you! We are fans of the amazing pancakes– try the chocolate chip, as well as the hash browns and Omelettes. This place is just so good!!! Be sure to wear loose fitting pants and don’t plan on eating much– if anything– for lunch later!!! I do wish they sold those Golden Griddle– I’m a hot mess– shirts the severs wear. Those things are cool!

The Golden Griddle is an iconic pancake house in Ocean Drive for a good reason: it’s really good! The Golden Griddle is what you’d expect in a good pancake house with a broad breakfast menu, large servings, good prices, friendly service, and lots of hot coffee. Pancakes are their specialty and most breakfast plates come with a couple of pancakes, though you can substitute toast if you prefer. Money serve warm maple syrup with their pancakes which is a nice touch. I’m glad I finally made it in here and will definitely return for more great breakfasts.

All of the food my family and I had here was very good, but for me, what really stood out was my order of pancakes. Yes, the pancakes themselves were great, better than most even, but what I truly felt set this place apart was the warm maple syrup. Warm maple syrup! I always warm my syrup at home, and throughout my life I have never understood why restaurants don’t do that, too. Finally, I found a place that understands what a mistake it is to take a nice, warm stack of yummy, fluffy pancakes and add room temperature syrup! Since I was just visiting here on vacation and can’t come to Golden Griddle on a regular basis, I’m hoping that all the other pancake houses in the world will read my review and change their evil cold-syrup ways. In the meantime, thank you Golden Griddle for getting it right!

I live about 30 minutes away, but when I have a craving for a «big breakfast» and the time this is the place I’ve been coming for the past 10 years. Comfortable atmosphere with decorations and memorabilia that remind me of some of the great breakfast spots my Opa would take me to as a young boy. Pancakes are a personal favorite and I’d recommend them with whatever you get. They are great about substituting items, eggs are cooked to order, Waitresses that are on the ball /friendly and good coffee. Prices are reasonable as well, what else could you want in the morning? Pancake /Breakfast Houses are a dime a dozen in Myrtle Beach, but most are just awful. If you want a memorable experience or a new regular spot this is the place.

This place was AMAZING! On this trip we found the little understated restaurants were really the best. We had an omelet, the pancakes, bacon and French Toast and all of it was delicious. The bacon was perfect, the pancakes were huge and thick but fluffy and tasty, and the french toast was some of the best I’ve ever had. My 2 kids and I split the french toast platter and the special of 3 pancakes and had more than another serving left over. My hubby had their special omelet and he said it was also very, very tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the hash browns, but I like traditional southern style hash browns so while it was good, it wasn’t what I was expecting and I’ll pass in the future. They don’t have an official«closed» time, but they open at 6am and we called at noon and they said they’d be open another hour or so. Definitely one of the best breakfast places we’ve ever eaten and for our family of 4 with a generous tip to get out of there at $ 30…the price was right.

There are a million and one pancake houses and breakfast spots in the Myrtle Beach area. When we were staying in North Myrtle last year we stumbled in. The place was memorable enough, that when I passed it I bookmarked it to review, since I hadn’t last year. We were seated quickly and our waitress got out orders right. This is much easier said than done. Our food was decent, I remember having steak and eggs. I think I had to add some additional salt and pepper to the steak but other than that the steak was cooked to my liking. My wife got some pancakes and the kids had french toast or waffles. Nothing that really WOWED us but good enough that if we weren’t staying in Surfside Beach(read 45 minutes south) we would have been back this year. Bottom Line: If your looking for breakfast in North Myrtle head in.

I found this place after scouring the Internet and boy was it a treat?! It a little bit of a drive from the resort we are staying in but very well worth it. Despite being in he middle of a Saturday morning rush, our server Brenda was so sweet and attentive and treated us like we were guests in her own home. I highly recommend this place and will make it a point to return the next time we visit Myrtle Beach!

3STARS for the quality of the food and 4STARS for the price. We had 8 in tow and there was no wait — our waitress was fast(not the friendliest but she got the orders right). Be careful when scanning the long menu. the combos are significantly cheaper than just ordering separates. I had the country ham and 2 eggs combo, substituted toast and gravy for 2 pancakes — definitely a winner. The pancakes were good and fluffy and the country ham was good and salty. The eggs were okay. Overall, it’s a filling breakfast and didn’t break the bank. We will be back!

Our favorite breakfast place in NMB! It is a little outdated, décor wise, but it fits right in with the other places on Main Street. I had a combo with a waffle, scrambled eggs, and toast! Yum! My husband also got a combo with French Toast and over medium eggs. We were both very full after eating! It is always packed but tables move quickly. I love the little South Carolina placemats. I analyze it every visit. I want to live in SC. I’d take any town really!

The Golden Griddle Pancake House is a typical pancake spot for a quick sit down breakfast. I came with a large party of 30 people, and we were seated quickly at tables side by side. For the entire party there were three waitresses, and the one for my table was extremely rude. She treated my family/group drastically different from her other tables. One of the friendly ones was named Sue, but the rude one shall remain nameless. The other two waitresses were very friendly. The service was relatively quick, but still rude. I ordered blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was $ 2.40 for three pieces. I enjoyed the bacon, but the pancakes were rather dry and only had a few blueberries. I ended up ordering a side of hash browns because I was not going to finish the pancakes, and they were tasty. Overall, if you want a quick breakfast, this is an option. But, the service varies. This is receiving a rating of 2 stars simply for the service and average/below par food quality.

Silence is Golden, but this breakfast was not! My wife’s Veggie Omelette was the worst she has ever had. There was a white milky substance in the center, we think it was the American cheese. Only three vegetables: mushrooms; onions; green peppers. My Banana pancakes were light and fluffy with 7 pieces on top, but the banana flavor in the pancakes was non existent. Then there was the Corn Beef Hash: Meow Mix. Coffee was good and our waitress Laura was very friendly.

I was in the mood for a good ol southern brunch and that was exactly what I got from here. My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning and I was craving eggs and steak. He ordered pancakes and eggs. Our awesome waitress was super patient with us as I scanned the menu for way too long. Being the foodie that I am, I asked if I could customize my meal. I wanted eggs and I wanted steak, so I merged two different meals together and VOILA! It was delish! I had the Golden Griddle Omelet and added the sirloin but I did not want it chopped like it was stated in the menu and requested for their to be caramelized onions on top. Man was my breakfast delish!
