We decided to eat here because the breakfast place next door was packed. The first thing I noticed was the time share booth right next to the entrance. I thought it was a bit odd. Where won’t they put a timeshare booth in Myrtle Beach? lol. As soon as we got in, the overwhelming smell of bleach hit me. Now, I seriously can’t stand the smell of bleach. It makes me gag to the point where I have to leave the room to get away from it, but I couldn’t escape it here. My mom said at least the bleach smell meant the restaurant was being cleaned. After a while I got used to it, but that’s really not the first thing you want to smell when you hit up a breakfast joint. We were seated immediately and our server came over to get our drink orders. She was very nice, but insisted on singing along loudly to whatever song they were playing in the restaurant. It made my mom and I giggle every time she did it. We all ordered different omelettes. I got mine with grits and wheat toast, and my parents got theirs with potatoes and wheat toast and they split a side of pancakes. The food was good and hit the spot. Everything was cooked to order the way we liked. I wouldn’t mind coming here again — minus the bleach smell!

With a little fear and trepidation we crossed over the parking lot from Plantation Pancake because of a long line. I had read some of the reviews on Unilocal and was waiting to be disappointed. Our waitress, Victoria couldn’t have been any nicer! Very sweet and we never had to ask for anything, she was right on it! Food was cooked to perfection and arrived quickly. Omelets were delicious. Bacon crisp, not under cooked and coffee was fresh. Irena, the owner, stopped by and ask if everything was ok, and brought us extra napkins without our asking. She was polite and made sure we were happy! I had to compliment her especially for making our service perfect! Definitely will come again! l

We were vacationing in Myrtle Beach and just happen to stop at Palmetto Pancake house. We enjoyed our breakfast. Crispy bacon, grits and scrambled eggs. Everything was good. My boyfriend enjoyed it very much.

There was a reason there was no line at Palmettos, we found out why. The hostess lead us to our seat and my husband noticed his seat was dirty. He asked the hostess to wipe it off. SHe did with a super wet rag. My husband looked at me and turned to the girl and asked if she could get a dry rag as he didn’t want to get wet. She looked at him and said, «Sorry, I am to busy.» The other patrons overheard and we all laughed. I got some napkins from another table and proceeded to wipe it off. The waitress who took our order was nice, but overworked and kept running back an forth. We got our food, but no toast. SHe forgot and gave it to us as we were getting ready to leave. I would never come here again. Go next door. It will be worth the wait. I will avoid this place at all costs.

Walk in and the first thing you smell during breakfast service is a musty smell. A «House of Pancakes» should smell like syrup, eggs, and PANCAKES! Walked in, was seated, looked at the menu, the left. Do not waste your time for breakfast.

We had a brand new waitress. She did her best. I won’t complain! The staff was accommodating! Especially when it was freezing at one point, they quickly adjusted the temperature. The food was great! Especially their pancakes. I had to protect my plate from my 13&15 year old sons

Palmetto is a great breakfast with helpful and friendly service. They have a variety of toppings for pancakes as well as some seasonal flavors such as pumpkin and cheesecake. Everyone’s order arrived in a timely fashion and tasted wonderful. As another reviewer said, the pancakes did taste very sweet, as if they were made from cake batter, however as anyone who is familiar with baking knows, there isn’t much difference between cake and pancake batter anyway, so the sweetness didn’t bother me in the least. In fact, it gave the pancakes a unique flavor that was delicious. I would definitely recommend the Palmetto.

We came to this place becauase there was a line at the Plantation pancake house across the street and we were in a hurry. We should have waited in line. This was by far the worst service that my family and I received during our recent vacation to Myrtle Beach. We waited for over an hour for breakfast for 4. When we finally got our food, it was ice cold. I have no problem with waiting for hot, good food, but their food was mediocre at best. The food was flavor less. On top of this all, when we got the bill it was nearly $ 50. This was a simple breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids. If I could give this place less than a star, I would.

We came to this pancake house because of the extremely long line at the Plantation house next door. We were really happy we did. The service was a little slow but we weren’t in a rush. Three of us got breakfast with pancakes, one got chicken fingers and fries. The pancakes were good, my husband was debating of ordering seconds, but the chicken fingers and fries were HUGE and so good. It’s beautiful inside so that’s a perk. Would’ve been 5 stars if the service was faster.

Excellent Service, the restaurant is surprisingly beautiful inside with all of the wood and textures. Had the Spanish Omelet which was packed with vegetables and just the right amount of salsa. Great for groups, Breakfast and Lunch.

Good prices, nothing too impressive about the food but it was good. Really loved the staff they were very friendly and service was fast. I would recommend the waffles and stop by to try it.
