Kaplan’s Furniture

I think it’s a fact that they sell high quality furniture. They have been around for generations. I just know the family on a semi personal level, and I would advise to go elsewhere.

I must disagree with the other reviews on here. Their quality of furniture was cheap and their price tags were shocking. Also the sales guy was pretty annoying. He was nice enough, just a stage 5 clinger. Also when I asked him questions, he gave me inaccurate answers or didn’t know/​bother to find out the correct one. We were in the market to buy, cash in hand, but almost treated like window shoppers. We won’t be back.

This is a nice furniture store. The selection is decent and the pricing is fair. The sales staff is not high pressure at all. They offer delivery for $ 60 and this includes hauling out your old furniture if need be. I went with my friend who was looking for some new stuff. I am a little bit mad that I already furnished my place with new stuff. I guess when the time comes for more stuff to weigh myself down with, I will probably stop by this store and see if they have some nice couches.

On December 19^th, 2010 I was going to purchase a new reclining loveseat. I started at Value City, because I bought there before. You can read my review regarding that experience, it is bad!
Then I went to La-​Z-​Boy, because I had just purchased an electric lift recliner there for my handicapped husband, and I thought I would find the matching loveseat. You can read my review regarding that experience as well, it is bad!
Next stop was Kaplan’s. I was greeted friendly by Jamie S., told him what I was looking for, and that my shopping day didn’t go well so far. He promised to do his best and showed me available loveseats.
I told him I have limited space, and 78″ was the maximum length, and I would prefer something with a middle console, and quick delivery as well.
It took less than 10 minutes until I was sitting in and testing a wonderful loveseat, which met all my expectations: 78″ long, middle console, and on sale for $ 769 (down from $ 1.299), made by Ashley. Unfortunately it was not immediately available, but he promised I would get it within 2 – 3 weeks, and since I would have to wait he would give me an additional discount, final price: $ 699. I agreed to that, and I was surprised when I signed the order, that delivery would be free as well. No other furniture store offers that!
On December 30^th, 2010 Kaplan’s called me, my loveseat was ready for delivery, next available day would be January 4^th, 2011 between 1−4pm.
On the 3^rd they called me as a friendly reminder, on the 4^th I received a call ahead of the delivery.
The delivery went very smooth, very nice young guys! For a tip they even helped me to get ridd of my old loveseat.
This is service and I will definitely check Kaplan’s first the next time I need another piece of furniture.
