Small place in a little plaza. The staff here are awesome! They know their regulars and treat you like family. I always get the Cuban here. Made fresh and love the crispy bread. They are pressed really well so it’s not bulky. Much easier to eat. Their chicken tortilla soup is awesome! Just the right kick to it. I can also recommend their tuna melt. Worth a try!

The owner is Italian, I was expecting Cuban food. That’s all I have to say. We ordered a Cuban coffee(which is normally an espresso shot) and got large coffee cups, delicious, but not what we were looking for.

Great place the guy works hard and mans the kitchen and counter by himself and still managed to fill orders on basically a full house. Food was great. I will definitely be coming back

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. My husband and I were vacationing in the area last week and came across this gem of a café which lead to my first experience of having Cuban Espresso. It was so absolutely amazing. Sure enough we returned every morning for the same. Sam the manager is such a sweetheart. And the environment is fun and laid back. Each day ended up in a conversation with a local in there who kindly made recommendations for us during the time in the area while Sam brought laughs galore to our 7 year old daughter. Just a great way to start our day while getting in the necessary caffeine. :-)

Sorry folks! Nothing Cuban about this place. Maybe I expected staff to speak Spanish, food no where near authentic!

BEST Cuban and home made soup I’ve ever had. Sam the manager and Katyln are wonderful. I’m picking my kids up from school now and bringing them straight back here.

Great service. Food was a little bland. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Kind of weak for a sandwich. Maybe other items on the menu may be tastier. I won’t go out my way to dine here besides a quick bite.

Picked up food to go. An order of pork chunks for my boyfriend and shredded pork for me. When we sat to eat and opened it it looked horrible. My shredded pork looked pale and my boyfriend’s chunks looked like cubed meat(no pork chunks here). The rice had a sprinkle of carrots and peas and the beans were dry, no sauce with it. We gave it the benefit of the doubt on the looks and ate a bite. Awful does not describe it poorly enough. I’ve had Cuban food many times while living in Miami and this is no Cuban food sadly. I was really looking forward to having a Cuban restaurant close to home. Si quieres comer cubano este no es el lugar

Not so crazy about the Crazy Cuban. I recently moved to the area from further south and was happy to come across this place as I love Cuban food, and it is close to my house. I spent a lot of time in Miami in years past and have eaten plenty of great Cuban food there. I also frequented a decent place in Boca Raton, and a little hole in the wall in Lake Worth that were very good. I wish I could say I was pleased with this place, but I wasn’t. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich, an Empanada, and a Café Con Leche. The Cuban was really mediocre and lackluster, the Empanada had a great outer pastry, but the filling was soupy and bland, and, horror of horrors, the Café Con Leche was WEAK! There’s gotta’ be a law, right?! Maybe I’d have a better experience another time, but I won’t be back to find out.

This restaurant is terrible. I ordered pork and I was given a plate of onions, skin, fat, and about two bites of pork, completely flattened out on the plate, to the point half the space was empty lol. There was no pork! It was insulting. This slop was on one half of the plate while the rest of the plate was occupied by rice and beans. They tasted ok but nothing like real cuban rice and beans. The rice was like rice pilaf and the beans were not flavored. It just wasn’t real cuban food. Oh and they used that fake lime on the meat that you buy in a bottle. Really? You can’t even use real limes? I barely touched my food and pointed out to the owner that there was no pork when he asked if I liked my food, and he offered me something else and I said no. Then he asked if he could buy me a coffee. Actually, no, you could give me what I actually paid $ 11 for. It was probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. On top of that he did not take off any charges for the $ 3 root beer, $ 2 Cuban bread, or soup that my mom got. The least he could have done was take some stuff off the bill. But he did not offer. The mushroom soup was good, that was it. I would never go to this place again.

Recommended by the owner — Ropa Vieja: Well, sure did seem like old clothes/laundry… Watery, bland, limited depth of flavor. Rice was lukewarm, and what seemed to be some veg-all tossed in with it, and the beans were still quite hard, and seemed completely unseasoned. But at least those didn’t come from a can! Survey says: Skip it.

What a great alternative to just fish. They have warm and cold sandwiches and platters. Great service. Two small outdoor tables. If you like Cuban Food you’ll enjoy this small restaurant.

2.5 This place is thriving on good service and nothing more. My cuban sandwich was less than an inch thick and I even ordered the«deluxe» or whatever they call it. I got one slice of each meat and that was it. I found it to be bland, thin and forgettable. The bread reminded me of cardboard. My café con leche was way too sweet. They gave me a free sample of some soup which I did not ask for, which was appreciated and tasty. The owner mentioned he’s from Pennsylvania. Makes sense.

I love hole in the wall places. I love good food with fair prices that one might expect when you go to a mom and pop establishment. Well you won’t find that here. $ 8.95 for a roast pork platter. Pork average, rice horrible, beans basic, plantains bad. Portion size was weak for price. I got a sample of soup. Was great! Funny this place has a little following, obviously they don’t mind getting ripped off for crap food. Maybe at $ 6.95 for soup and a half of Cuban is the way to go. I will never know! $ 12 for lunch and a small bottle water. What a joke! The guy rung me up and didn’t even tell me the total. I had to ask…

This is a great breakfast and lunch spot in Palm Beach Gardens. I am new to the area and have stopped in three times thus far. The highlight for me has been the pork platter that comes with pulled pork, black beans and rice and plantains. The homemade soups are very, very good and two of the times that I have been I was offered a sample upon walking through the door. The Cuban sandwich is solid(I would recommend the double stuffed version for $ 1 more). All in all a great place to grab a very tasty and reasonably priced lunch. The owners are super friendly and all of my experiences thus far have been very positive. I highly recommend this spot and will be coming back often.

Excellent food in a super clean, intimate little joint with a fun atmosphere, and an owner — Billy — who makes you feel like family. Great tortilla soup, yum pork platter — nicely seasoned and super tender. Lots of regulars and repeat customers. I’ll def be back next time I’m in the area. Thumbs up!

I almost always get the Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup & a Double-Stuffed Cuban Sandwich. I get hungry… They’re so good I have had no desire to try anything else. The soup has a spicy bite to it and the flavor is rich. Plenty of chicken in there too. They usually will offer you a sample of any random soup they want you to try, and you’re welcome to try anything if you simply ask. The Cuban sandwich I’d put up against any from street-vendors in Miami, any day. The option to have double the meat is great too. Beware, this sandwich is huge and you better be hungry. My only gripe is the place is claustrophobic-small. I think 4 – 5 tables(?), each about 2ft away from each other. If I remember, there may be 1 – 2 tables outside, but it is pretty damn hot down here for most of the year, so I wouldn’t consider eating outdoors unless it’s winter time. Extremely hospitable and friendly people. I only go there about once a week and they already know who I am when I walk in. Walk up to the counter, order, then have a seat. They’ll bring it to you and you pay when you are done. Great lunch spot!
