Honesty, and a good knowledge of engines and mechanics. Steve picked up my 20+ year old Craftsman tractor and repaired it. He only replaced the parts that needed to be replaced and his price is reasonable. I thought the tractor worked good before I sent it to be tuned up. Now it sounds like a car. It never ran so good. I also had my snow blower tuned up last season. It starts up on only one pull and it runs great. I would send all my yard machines to this man. He does a great job and is honest. I recommend Steve highly. He also stocks parts for all kind of tractors, lawn mowers, snow blowers and other small engine tools and he also sells new small engine equipment.

I have used this shop in the past and was quite happy with the service. Well things have changed! Recently I used the shop again and the service this time was terrible. I had my snowblower picked up from my House which is a mile away. In the past this has always been free! I was having problems with it and I explained this to the owner of the shop. He picked up the snowblower promptly. I heard nothing for four buisness days and then received a call to my surprise saying it was fixed and that i owed over $ 300 to fix it plus $ 35 for a delivery fee. This is concerning because I never gave approval to have the snowblower fixed and was never told that there would be a delivery pickup fee. I questioned Steve the owner about the fees and the cost and he said that he stood behind his work an that he did good work and deserved to be paid the money. I told him I had never paid a delivery fee in the past. I would never pay $ 35 for going 1 mile! During the snow storm I went to use my snowblower it worked to clear the driveway once. I went to do a second clearing of snow and it went right back to having the same problem it had initially before bringing it to Steve’s service shop. This is the type of service which gives small business a bad name and why consumers go to the big box shops. I would like to think that this was a one time situation but I feel that I was treated unfairly. I was overcharged, mislead and I am stuck with an extra foot of snow in my driveway without the blower. To add insult to injury I tried calling Steve today at 1 o’clock and his shop was closed and there was no answering machine to leave a message. I guess the messages is that he wants your money no matter how poorly the job was done and don’t expect any service. Go else where!

Nice place to drop off for small engine, lawn motor, snow blower, chain saw, etc. I drop off my lawn motor for small repair. They cost me very good reasonable price. Support local business.
