I had the corned beef special, it was excellent. Rye bread was really fresh. Beer was nice and cold. Stopped after a day at the beach with a friend and we were seated right a way, waitress was nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if your in town.

I went here over memorial day weekend 2016. Great little joint that you can tell has been here forever. Good rotating beers on tap. BUT — the number one reason to go here is the chicken wings! They weigh in at $ 1 per wing but trust me when i tell you they wre absolutely worth the cost of admission. Huge, crispy, perfectly cooked and the Guiness Honey Bbq sauce is outta this world. Go now, and get the wings! Some of the best I have ever had.

Hubby and I have driven by this place a zillion times, always saying we should try it, but never actually doing so until today. The pub is located in an old building from 1885 that has quite a rich history, including a past incarnation as a brothel. The bar itself is old and appears handcarved, and adds to the Irish pub ambience. Hubby and I each ordered a cup of the seafood chowder which was thick and rich and full of delicious seafood. Hubby ordered the Reuben sandwich and said it was one of the best he’s had. I had the special honey whiskey burger, which was quite good, but overcooked. I asked for medium rare, but received it well done. Our server, Catty(?), was friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

I cannot say how much I love this place. I moved to North Wildwood from the Midwest for my job in January 2015. I was in Wildwood temporarily, but being on the coast in the winter makes for a ghost town. Despite how desolate the town gets in the winter, I could always count on Anglesea to be warm, friendly, and fun pretty much anytime I walked in. I got to know the sweet bartender Brian and chatted with the manager Sean. They had live music and trivia night, the food was always delicious and the beer selection was great. To make me feel more at home, I always requested to watch my Midwest college basketball team on their TVs and they always were accommodating. I love this pub and it became a really special place to me. You can tell the locals really treasure it too, which is a good sign of a quality pub/community gathering place.

My boyfriend and I are Tuesday night regulars. We love the wings! Plus they always have great beer on tap, and the service is always on point. We’ve been going here for years now and I highly recommend coming by for a mid week meal, you wont be disappointed.

By far the best wings in Cape May County. They make a really good tuna melt too. Beer is always cold! Always a little something different with the soups, in a good way. Try them!

A perfect pint, excellent wings, cozy atmosphere, swift and friendly service — why was last night our very first visit to the Anglesea Pub? We have a new«go to.» Looking forward to trying each of their nightly specials.

What a great find in a sea of want-a bees !!! We were doing some old memory watching on our visit to Wildwood and decided to see if we could eat in town before we headed back to OC. After doing the boardwalk(boy did that change) we decided to check out a few local places. Most were crowed and look like the typical places you see at the shore. So we decided to leave town and on the way out we passed Anglesea Pub. We looked up the reviews on Unilocal and figured«ok sounds good» but we are I-Talian so will they let is into an Irish pub and will we understand the language ? Walking in with fear, the women said«can I help you» ok so far so good we understood Irish, she asked me for my name I said«Timmy ORiely«, opps I mean Bobby O’Hara, no no, Finny Fitspatrick , ok just kidding, just kidding ! So we sit down, we ordered for appetizers, Irish Nachos –great version of Potato skins, clams wow great juice, great bread so far everything was super ! My son ordered wings, we had stuffed crab, salids ect, everything was excellent ! The service was not only fast but warm, friendly and fun . Our waitress was very nice and well schooled about the foods, the beer was excellent great house choices and seasonal offerings. Its a rare gem of a shore town that would easily survive and thrive in an urban setting among much better competitors. If your looking for great food, great service, a fun busy place definitely make the drive to Angeleses.

Went here it has a cool older pub atmosphere and by 8 pm on a Thursday it was starting to fill up with local beach goers grabbing drinks, so a nice place to do that and watch a game in a true old style pub. Food wAs good, wings were good they are breaded and the sauce was very unique and flavorful. Also got cheese fries which were decent, calamari was very good, and the potato skins were great. They have a lot of beer selections and a few mixed drinks. Would return when I’m in wildwood again.

Was looking for a different place that never had been to and said pass this all the time, why not… Walked right in and was seated. Will say the area is loud. Menu and specials looked good. I had the house special seafood soup and not impressed. Had the prime rib and she had the scallops. Prime rib was ok. Her scallops were great. Drinks were good and so was the service. Will be back

Came here tonight for dinner. Hadn’t been here in about 10 years, Very busy for a freezing cold Sunday night. The food was great. I had broiled scallops and it was a nice portion. Dinner comes with salad and two sides. My husband had a burger and it looked pretty good. Very nice bar and a large selection of beer. Our server was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back very soon!

Fun place. Chicken wings are off the charts good, as are the crab stuffed shrimp. I wasn’t aware of a huge craft beer selection, but was still able to get something that I hadn’t tried before. When we went, there was live music and the place was pretty vibrant. I would definitely return.

I have been going here for about a year or two now and absolutely love it. Their wings are fantastic! Go on Wing Night(Tuesdays) for 25cent wings, and they have more flavors too. My favorite is the Old Bay and Butter and the Hot wings. I have also had dinners there, and specifically the scallop dinner was fantastic. The prices there are very good for what you are getting. They pretty much have live music every night, at least that is the case in the summer, and also go Quizzo as well I believe on Sundays. The bartenders and servers there are very nice and make everyone feel welcome. They have a parking lot for parking. It is a nice place to go if you are looking for a fun atmosphere with good people, but want to get away from the packed bars that are a block away.

We didn’t mean to go here, intially. But when the place we intended to go to was little more than a shack and a picnic table, we found ourselves at the Anglesea Pub. It was Tuesday, so we took advantage of $ 2 Yuenglings and 49 cent wings. Mark my words: the wings are the undisputed STAR of the show. Wowee… Not only was the Guiness BBQ sauce sweet and abundant, but the wings themselves were HUGE. My favorite wing place back home has wings perhaps half the size of these monsters. We had two other quite good dishes. The Asian salad was well made, though probably could be replicated at most other restaurants. The Guiness beef stew was very good, but I didn’t find it particuarly«Guiness-y,» for lack of a better term. Still, it was a solid beef stew served in a bread bowl, very tasty and comforting. –1 star primarily for the service. Our waitress was friendly but great god almighty was she inattentive. It took forever for her to greet us, to get our drinks and take our orders, and I actually had to get up and hunt her down just to give her my credit card. The only blemish on an otherwise excellent dinner.
