Great live music especially in the Summer. Nice atomosphere. People are outgoing and nice. Something you expect from Northampton. I always seem to meet someone outgoing and new here, not like my hometown or area where if you talk to people they think you want something, trying to pick them up, or they look like they are judging you. I come to Northampton to get away from Connecticut, the armpit of America in my book. Hence the reason why I hear people in CT everyday say they hate it. If there was a state that would be considered hell or purgatory its CT. There is nowhere in CT where I can hang out, relax, talk some small talk, meet new people, listen to music while Im eating Pizza. Of course there is but the only experience you would get is the food and nothing else… everything else is so serious, smug and at the end of it Id rather make my food at home because all else is missing that this place has. The only thing I ate here was the Pizza which is ok but thats not the only reason you come here… there is an ambience thats attracting. Food is ok, not something I’d recommend this place solely for, its more or less the whole package thats attractive.

I was a great customer. I ordered for my barbershop in town. NEVERAGAIN!!! I was hung up on and treated so rudely several times. I was simply trying to place an order. This place has lost my buisness for good. So rude!!! Disgusted !!!

Great variety of special pizza. You can buy whole pizzas or a slice or two. Prices are reasonable.

Love love love this place. One of the staples of my college life, Sam’s is one of the only late-nite food spots in Noho. Their pizza is always tasty, no matter what I get, though I am a big fan of the chicken bacon ranch pizza; imho, better than Antonios in Amherst(gasp! I know). Despite it being very collegetown-staple, the atmosphere is nice, never really too crowded with live music late. Always nice to pop in for a comforting 2am slice.

Solid, solid, solid. There are three very good places for a slice in downtown Northampton and all are good … but Sam’s gets the nod. They are the classiest of the three, have the best ambiance and the ingredients are fresh, fresh, fresh. They always have some great pies available and they heat the slices up very quickly for you. Want plain old cheese or pepperoni — check. Want something that looks like a meat combo — check. Want a Margherita — check. You are in Northampton so do you want a vegetarian pizza — check! They also make sandwiches and salads and have an espresso maker. I have had all those but usually just stick to a slice … or two. You can eat outside on the sidewalk and people watch also. On a nice day Sam’s is a great place to hang(even on a not nice day!). Sam’s and Bueno Y Sano are probably my two favorite quick lunch stops in Noho. Anyway, go check it out. Not sure why I don’t rate it a 5. Sam’s is great. Buon appetito !!!

On the heels of the strange April snows this weekend, my girlfriend, her friend, and I drove from Albany to Northampton for the Nightvale show on Monday. I wasn’t able to stop at home before the show, so by the time I got in the car, I was becoming sorely sleep and food deprived. And I had cold feet. The worst. As you can imagine, when we arrived in Northampton a hour and a half later, I was nearly catatonic. We only had only 30 minutes before the show so we needed to nom-and-bomb. And there was Sam’s! When I’m in such a sad state, I have the tonal control and hearing of a 5-year-old. And like a 5-year-old, I walked up to the display, mashed my nose into the glass in an effort to identify the low-lit pies, and asked, «What is that?» «It’s pizza,» said the pizzarista. Given my fine manners, I don’t — now — begrudge him his snark. At the time, I would have gladly strapped him down to one of the tables and force fed him every broccoli and tortellini on the pie in question(while savoring several myself). I’m ashamed of the person I become when hangry. Life rapidly improved once I had a slice in each hand, and a coke(old-style, in the glass bottles!). Total came to $ 11. Definitely a little price-y, but decent pizza. And I don’t usually mind a little snark, especially when it’s accompanied by wit. It’s better than the glassy-eyed stare of the pizza-zombie *shiver* who hands you a pizza, but whom you feel never really saw you.

Food was amazing! Avacado wrap and a toco pizza are what i had. The music is at a good volume and this place is clean which is a big plus for me. Keep up the good work. I will be back for sure.

Now that I am eating under the burden of gluten-free I was happy to see that option available here. I was even more pleased that it wasn’t the gross mess that is sometimes served up in the not-so-wonderful world of gluten-free. We customized our pizza with avocados, sausage and mushrooms. It came with just the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce. It was a tasty surprise to experience a more than just decent gluten-free pizza! When we walked by earlier we saw the guy singing and going at the keyboard and wondered«what the hell? live act in the pizza joint??» We weren’t expecting much, however, this kid has a damn good voice and great stage presence, the kind you might one day see on Broadway. Get thee to NYC kid!

Come for the pizza, stay for the butts. They also said I was pretty. So that’s a thing that happened.

This place is the worst, pizza is gross, service terrible, owner a sleeze. Northampton has lot’s of great places, don’t give Sam’s your money.

So the pizza is okay, but when the advertised price in the menus for a slice of pepperoni is 3.25 and I’m told and charged 4 bucks isn’t really cool. Also having a 5 buck minimum on debit cards purchases is against visa regs(different than a credit card, check it ). Disappointed

Pizza sauce tastes great. Interactions with the staff are kind of off sometimes. Open mic nights are super fun, but a little too loud.

Caveat: I can’t speak to the pizza because we had a chicken Caesar salad. The salad: 1. Overpriced. $ 12 for an absurdly small portion. And, no, it wasn’t gourmet. 2. Where did the chicken go?! We had to play«Where’s Waldo?» to spot the poultry. It looked like they diced a ¼ breast and then called it a day. 3. Molasses. The wait time for this teeny salad was ridiculous even though there was hardly anyone there.(Under the circumstances, I’m not the least bit surprised by this.) Going forward we’ll keep on walking and order at Filo’s instead. Phenomenal salad.

We ordered from here late on a Saturday when we were staying at the Clarion in Northampton while in the process of moving to the area. Frankly it was one of the only places that would deliver at that time to that location and we didn’t feel like going out or picking up anything. The pizza(chicken bacon ranch) was pretty good. However, a few issues stick out in my mind: 1) we wanted soda and they only sell it in the glass bottle, so it was more expensive, 2) overall the bill was really expensive and 3) the delivery driver was a space cadet. The bill was something like $ 27 bucks, I gave her $ 40 expecting her to make change, but she says nothing and just starts walking away. I corrected her, she made change, and then she walked away again without taking her pizza bag. Strange encounter under strange circumstances, but now that I live here I don’t really see a reason to try it again. Not worth it.

I got the black bean/taco/BBQ sauce. Crust was decent. Topping was dry. My companion got tortellini/cheese/sausage. His was better but not fantastic. Homemade lemonade was tasty. But $ 20 incl tip for two slices, a lemonade and a bottle of mineral water is way steep. Not a redo but not horrible either.

Excellent GF pizza! I was able to eat there and not get sick. They have a decent beer and drinks selection including gluten free beers and drinks. The regular novelty pizzas seem good — my husband really enjoyed it.

You’re in northampton, the bars just closed, you’re drunk, Sam’s is open. Basically the only instance I go here. Average pizza across the board. But sometimes there is someone playing piano, which is the places saving grace.

1 star for a good smoothie, 1 for ambiance/live music. If you’re looking for nearly edible crazy-overpriced pizza that sits out all day and is served lukewarm come here. Got 2 slices of BBQ chicken pizza and a smoothie for $ 15.00 Granted, the smoothie was actually good. The pizza, however, was not. It is certainly not worth $ 5 a slice. If you want great gourmet pizza in Noho, go to Hungry Ghost or at least Paradiso. If you need it by the slice, at least go to Mimmo’s. I don’t understand why people eat here.

If you like good pizza, AVOID this place! I admit, I fell for the novelty pizzas. We had the Mac & cheese and the pulled pork. The crust was like cardboard. I suppose it’s a result of reheating by the slice. The ingredients were sub-par and tasted bland or frozen. They definitely didn’t have a fresh flavor to them. All of the pizzas were on display with no refrigeration. No telling how long they’d been sitting there. And to top off my mediocre experience, no refills on iced tea! The clerk informed me that I could buy another glass. Really? How much does that cost you? It’s clear that these guys thrive on the captive student population and tourists.
