This place had a great vibe; was a little crowded but it’s just a small space. I was surprised and happy that the small restaurant had a bathroom. We sat down and looked at the menu — so many delicious options, even for a vegan like myself. I got the vlbat with a side salad, my sister got chocolate chip pancakes and everyone else got the savory grilled cheese. The lemonade was amazing and seemed fresh squeezed. However, it took well over thirty minutes for us to receive our food. We were all starving. The food did eventually come out and was amazing. The vlbat was light on the vegan mayo and fully lacked the avocado but everything else was spot on. The side salad was scrumptious and the dressing was full of flavor. I highly recommend the herb and onion bread with almond gravy. All and all, I will definitely return.

Delicious vegetarian dishes and spectacular service. Our group had the veggie burritos, quesadillas, and the sweet gulled cheese. Each was made of fresh ingredients, had unique flavor, and was scrumptious.

Went for lunch. Got the Green Bean Lunch and a side salad. Salad was fine the lunch had absolutely no seasoning or flavor.

Delicious! Our party of 4 had to wait about 20 – 25 minutes on Sunday morning at 10am! But it was so worth it. I had granola and yogurt with some fruit on the side. Others had a breakfast burrito, and omelettes. Everyone enjoyed their food. Such a cute town to walk around too. I would go back for more!

Breakfast on a Tuesday morning with no wait, and a seat yourself policy, started off pretty good. I ordered the Earl Grey tea, which was excellent, and I was surprised to see it was loose leaf. The OJ was fresh squeezed. I ordered The Kitchen Sink, and my wife The World Famous. Both were very good, light and fresh, but somewhat bland. No substitutions on The Kitchen Sink, forced me to eat goat cheese, which isn’t my favorite. Service was friendly and prompt, but fell flat when we were done, and we stared at our empty plates for some time, as our server walked by us. It wouldn’t of been a huge deal, but the tables are real small. Interior is small, hip and classic, with old brick showing. Definitely worth a try, and would eat there again.

We live coming here for Sunday brunch despite the wait. It’s worth it. The quality of the food is excellent and not to proxy considering the quality. Service is always solid and the coffee is on point.

The food looks good but be sure don’t go too late because the quality of the food and service goes way down after noon. Maybe it’s because they are busy and tired. We waited for more than 40minutes. Our sandwich and potato were burned. The taste of the food was okay.

This is where I go when my vegan-ish mother is in town or when I want to treat myself. This café is very narrow and gets crowded around brunch times, so expect to sit very close to strangers. The first table available might be smashed against the front door on a cold winter’s day, and your knife might have a speck of a previous meal on it. Depending on the time of day, you might have to wait a max of 45 minutes– an hour. Decide how much you want this meal before you come. That being said, this meal is worth it all. The scones– my god, the scones– are the stuff of dreams, and you will pray to find a bit of that raspberry jam under your fingernails later in the day. Lots of egg dishes, lots of gravy. Vegetarians, vegans, and the gluten intolerant will rejoice at the bounty of the menu. Everything will sound delicious, and you will not be disappointed. The self-serve coffee on the tree makes you feel like you’re at your parents’ house, picking out an old mug gotten from the Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage or a Northampton Community TV fundraiser. The hipster youth who takes your order will be happy to see you, eager to offer suggestions, and more than worthy of a generous tip. And boy will you get to do some good eavesdropping, sitting so closely to the tables on either side of you.

Apparently I come to Western Mass to eat delicious things I then have to go figure how to cook at home in Florida(See also, Bernie’s Dining Depot French Meat Pie). Here at The Green Bean I met an amazing combination of flavors that now haunts my dreams. I am an egg girl when it comes to breakfast. French Toast and such are nice, but give me a selection of egg options and 99% of the time, that’s what I’m going to order. After helping myself to coffee from the station in the center of the restaurant(how fun!), I carefully reviewed my choices. The Lucky Devil and Zorba the Greek sounded great but the Green Eggs and… screamed my name. I added bacon and potatoes and scone for my sides. Holy WOW — the eggs were burst with herbaceous garlicky flavor and there was just enough sharp cheddar to add some rich zest. The scone was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the housemade berry jam was outstanding. Oh Green Bean, why are you so far away from Tampa? I’ve been reduced to making my own spinach and kale pesto to stir into scrambled eggs but it’s just not the same. Next time I am in the area for business, I don’t care how early I have to get up and if every breakfast comes out of my own pocket — I NEED more Green Eggs and…

Third time here. Great place to go if you want to have truly healthy food options. Lots for vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters. I got the Green Eggs dish, and one buckwheat pancake, because I cannot eat pancakes most places(I avoid white flour, otherwise, a nap becomes necessary…). But I really enjoy theirs AND my body felt good afterward. I drive out of my way to get myself here with my girlfriend. We pair it with another local gem and have a good day out of town. Check it out if you are health /wellness minded and have trouble finding places to eat that support it! Generally very chill staff too.

I used to be a regular here. Came probably several times a month. Hadn’t been here in awhile so wanted to go again. The wait wasn’t too bad but the host had spent 5 minutes cleaning a table for the people in front of us while we sat staring at an empty, set up table. She then briskly led us right there and walked away. It took awhile for the server to get our orders. He was polite and kind and the food came out really quick. The food was mediocre and not as good as I remembered. He never checked on us. It seemed like the staff was rushing us out since there was a wait again. Not what it used to be. I was hoping for a good, enjoyable brunch and instead felt like I was being rushed through a turnstile with soggy eggs.

A very popular breakfast/brunch place that always seems to have a line. Just know that if you’re waiting in line, it will most likely be on a cramped bench or outside. I saw a pair of friends eating outside in the 36 °F winter weather. I don’t know if I’m that diehard in my breakfast quest. I really like this place. Every time I’ve been, I’ve always had good food. It is also very convenient when you’re out eating with veggie friends. I loved the buckwheat pancake I got with strawberries and blueberries STUFFED into it. YUM. The coffee is good, they kept my water glass full, the scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, and the red potato sides was delicious. Portions are generous but not overly so. Great service. A bit cramped but still a fun time. My friend who is veggie and has celiac was able to find options on the menu. We were so hungry that we took more than a few minutes to finally settle on what we wanted. Great people watching place. Oh, and they have almond gravy.

Been hearing about this place, passing it everyday so I had to try it. Ordered a BLT with Avacado on sourdough. Got a regular BLT with no mayo on wheat. Unfortunately I got it to go and didn’t have a chance to check it before i was well on my way, but I don’t think I should have to check on a sandwich with 4 ingredients. Dry crappy bread, awful bacon that was burnt and reheated. You could tell it had been sitting out. Lettuce and tomatoes were average. Not worth 9 bucks by any means. This place gets a lot of praise, so it was extra disappointing. Chances are I’ll be back to try something else. Probably just a fluke, but whoever was in the kitchen clearly did not care.

North Hampton has a wealth of delicious cafes and restaurants, especially for lunch, and so many cater to special diets in a tasty, affordable, and friendly way. My sister’s family has a number of food allergies, and each time we’ve gone to The Green Bean they’ve been incredibly helpful in ensuring everything is safe for them. The food is always fresh, and portions are filling. Breakfast items are fantastic and you should really try them all — I am an egg fiend, but even their vegan options are delicious and flavorful. It can quickly get crowded in here, so timing can be everything. But even with a packed house, staff are friendly and attentive, food comes out quickly, and you don’t feel rushed. A family friendly place too, we’ve only ever come here with my niece and she’s the center of attention with the servers(and us, of course).

Just tried this place for the first time and I wasn’t as satisfied as I was hoping. It might be because I didn’t get what I would usually get at a restaurant. I got«The Big Day» which is grilled tofu, herb and onion bread with almond butter gravy, a side of greens and veggie sausage. Even before I was a vegan I wasn’t big on gravy things so maybe that’s why I didn’t love that. I have no idea what the greens were but they were super bland I couldn’t eat it. The tofu was good, nothing special. The sausage was my favorite part I would get that again. We ordered coffee and I was done with my meal before they brought the coffee out. When the waitress(a different one than the one who took our order) brought the coffee out I verified if it was the soy latte I ordered and she said oh no I didn’t know you wanted soy, so she had to go back and make it. I’m not an asshole about stuff like that so not that big of a deal but it would’ve been nice to get the coffee before the breakfast… the latte was delicious I really enjoyed it, it was very creamy and«heavy» which I love. I was disappointed because I had high expectations for this place but I will definitely go back and try other items from their menu.

If every café became a dog tomorrow, The Green Bean would be a scrappy mutt puppy with a permanently bent ear that’s up for adoption at the local rescue and probably gets a home with family that has sixteen collective tattoos and two kids named Ryder and Chloe. Pop in, drop your party on the self-serve ListBot 5000(paper in clipboard), and null the wait by peeping the menu — breakfast is served all day, and the eclectic selection may leave you waffling until a certified chipster(that’s «chipper hipster,» copyright pending) takes your order. Classics are either well represented, or straight up missing(Y U NOHASH, BEAN?), and the vegetarian/vegan/GF-friendly selection globetrots from breakfast miso and Bi Bim Bean(brown rice, fried eggs, steamed veggies and a spicy red Korean sauce), to the Pulaski Plate(eggs, greens, sausage and kraut), to the Huevos Green Beanos(which I will not describe because if you eat breakfast foodstuffs and are unclear about the construct of Huevos Rancheros, then you should probably turn in your First Meal membership card). Hung over and starving, I went Cowboy Breakfast — a big, dense corn cake topped with a honkin’ scoop of veggie chili, a couple of eggs and a dollop of sour cream. Filling, gritty and perfect for the morning after, it quelled the beast for $ 12. Others in the group went bagel heavy(a bit too toasted), miso(laurels from Laurel), thick cut bacon(standing O), and a fresh fruit bowl(I spy kiwi). Clean plate club all around. All this, and a dope collection of photos on the wall. Can’t wait to return.

Wow. That’s all I can say. Amazing food. Came here for breakfast(although I’m sure this would be a fine lunch or brunch place) so I got a coconut filled pancake that may have been the best pancake I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant, and that’s saying something. I also ordered a Chai Latte which was really good. We didn’t have to wait to find a seat, but the place was pretty crowded, so that’s something to take into account. The waitress and waiter we had were really really nice, and helpful, and when their latte machine broke down and their ran out of soy milk they were super apologetic, and sorry, and made it so that I didn’t worry or get annoyed. The pricing is pretty average, pretty reasonable, and free WiFi! The space is really nice and very valley-ish. It’s warm and full. Totally recommended!
