It was a coffee shop, but they completely stopped serving coffee one day. They’re trying hard to become a bar and restaurant, but they’re clearly trying to steal business from the Dirty Truth across the street. Be a first rate version of yourself, Foundry…

The Foundry is a pub and coffee shop hybrid. They serve beers and ciders plus coffees and other drinks and food as well. I have been in here a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. They have an eclectic beer and cider selection. I have never had a coffee drink here it it looks like they are good. The food has always been tasty and original as well. The service has always been friendly and efficient on each of my visits. This place is definitely chill. It’s more low key than The Dirty Truth across the street but in some ways different takes on the same genre. Based on my experience I would be happy to go back. I would recommend it to any one looking for a relaxed vibe place to have a drink and a bite.

This is my favorite place around for food and beer. Everything I’ve had to eat(salads, cheese slates, mac & cheese) has been great.(I haven’t had any meat items.) The beer selection is outstanding in quality and variety, and I’ve never been steered wrong by a bartender/server. The Foundry is the perfect combination of professional and relaxed, and overall it feels like being in another world.

Employees were all very nice and personable. Great, calm atmosphere, décor was awesome! Food was good. A great beer list but not overwhelming. Also a great list of non alcoholic beverages.

Sandwiches and portions were just ok for the price. Has potential but needs some work. Still on a quest to find a great sandwich shop in the area.

I’ve been coming to Noho for years and this was my first time dining at the Foundry. I can’t believe it took me so long to find such a cool spot to have a meal! I love the interior — the tables, stools, the bar area… it’s open and aesthetically pleasing. I ordered a glass of prosecco followed by a Citizen Cider unified press, and my husband sampled a couple different beers. We split the chips and salsa fresca, which was chock full of cilantro and was gobbled up immediately. For our main, we split the vegetarian Florence sandwich(your classic Caprese) and the Cuban sandwich. That cubano was, in our opinion, the star of the show. It was absolutely fantastic and I think it may induce dreams from which I awake salivating. The restaurant was clean and the service friendly and prompt. We can’t wait to return!

The Foundry is a treasure. Quiet, atmospheric, visually stunning café on Main Street. Sophisticated, well thought out beer list, and an eclectic menu of thoughtfully prepared entrees, salads, and small plates that are priced more than reasonably. For me, going into a place and finding the owners serving and cooking virtually every time is a sign of dedication.

It’s a nice little bar with a small menu but an excellent rotating beer selection. The staff is friendly and the Hampton sandwich is very good.

I stopped into this place on the way home to NYC from Burlington, VT. I ordered the pulled pork nachos which had a ton of flavor without being too greasy and I was not disappointed. The beer and wine selection was good and reasonably priced.

Finally popped into The Foundry for drinks and snacks with a few friends and wasn’t disappointed. I had a cider of some kind(I forget what it was) and my friends had a couple different kinds of stout. We also tried the pretzel(delicious: soft and warm) and the pulled pork sandwich(also delicious). Service and atmosphere were pleasant. I’d definitely come here again. It’s a nice mix of unique drinks and food without being pretentious the way a number of other spots in Northampton are. :o)

Love this place! I have been coming here a few times a week for the past year. I come for coffee, food and their great selections of craft and import beers. I have sat at the bar and at tables with friends. The Foundry offers great coffee service, a tiny kitchen that makes great lunch, dinner options and MOST of all — great rotating beer selection that is world class. Staff and owners are very friendly, knowledgable and take the time to find out what you might like to enjoy. There are many regulars that come in every week. It’s a great vibe and the regulars add to the character of the place. But, I’ve also noticed that there are some who feel entitled to use the interior of this«business» as their living room: — shopping bags all over the bar — take shoes off and rest them very high — try to bring in their own food! –try to bring in their own beer! –take a big table and spread their homework –bring in 10+ people and buy 2 drinks –bring 10+ people and expect their tiny kitchen to make their meals quickly, during a weekend night. –a line of people only wanting to use the bathroom –always that someone who wants to know what everything taste like –always someone who must make sure their $ 6 is carefully spent otherwise their night is ruined. -«can you lower the music? I can’t hear the person calling me» –people who just got denied a reservation 30min ago then walk in to complain why they got denied. The list goes on and on. This is what management and staff see on a daily/weekly basis and they do a great job dealing with these issues. If you’re one of these types please go elsewhere and don’t give this great place a hard time. Take these negative reviews with a BIG grain of salt. I’ve been coming here long enough and I’ve seen it all. So, just because the staff asked you to move to another small table, and off the big one your occupying with your one glass of iced tea, your laptop, books, homework, headphones, that doesn’t mean you should go on Unilocal and put a bad review. If you’re coming in to enjoy your experience based on their products and not the use of their space for your own selfish reasons, this is a great beer bar. Now, anyone can have a subpar experience at a great place but if you hear it’s great there is a good reason why. The best beer bar in town! Just don’t drink all the beer, leave some for me:)

Went here on a Monday night w/my boo and met up with a friend I met when I was in uni. The place wasn’t too packed which was nice. When you first enter, there’s a bar/order area on the left and on the right there was some table seating followed by high chaired tables and a bar with seating opposite those. The service was very accommodating and ordering was simple. Our server was really knowledgeable of the menu’s items and helped me to order quickly rather than overthinking the choices. The ambiance was dim lit and dark. But, despite that, there weren’t any«surprises!» My friend, actually, mentioned that she rarely goes here because it’s ALWAYS packed. We were glad to find that on Monday nights you can enjoy this local gem among friends/loved ones without having to shout over each other or wait endlessly for a space to sit. Oh, and the food was delicious! Happy Eats!

Came in solely for beer. Loved the atmosphere. It was really quiet on a Saturday night around 9 pm. My husband and I each got a sampler and the bartender was over the top helpful explaining the beer and offering recommendations. Lots of great local beer on draft. Definitely a good experience for a quiet date night beer.

Really excellent beer bar in downtown Noho that has excellent small plate food, including tasty flat bread pizza. The staff were quite pleasant and attentive, and there was an agreeable array of beers available, with moderate(but not expert, IMHO) information from the staff about the quaffs. The Moan and Dove over in Amherst is a better beer bar per se, but since the food here is quite good this is probably a better hangout beer bar for an extended get together. We had a great time.

A group of us – working professionals, no less! — totaling 12 people and… Get this. Management would not allow us to sit together while next to us was a birthday party with two tables joined for 10 people. Also, management said that the kitchen will not cook our food. W. O. W. Talk about total rejection. :-/ Honestly, we all came here with high hopes for good food and good drinks… and got shot down with a double barreled shotgun, no less. What a shame. :-(

I like this coffee/bar hybrid; it really feels relaxed. There aren’t a lot of other places around here where you feel like you can just hang out and take your time with your meal. Baristas/waitstaff really are friendly and not pretentious. Great beer selection. Simple fare done well– think excellent salads and light lunch(and cheese plates!).

After our usual trip to the Paradise Craft Show, the consistently nice ratings for The Foundry on Unilocal encouraged us to pay it a visit, instead of returning to our usual haunt across the street. There were six drafts available. Our server was very knowledgeable about the brews and explained each to help us make our choices. I went with the Old Rasputin($ 6⁄10 oz., 9% abv) a Russian Imperial Stout from North Coast Brewing, the only dark beer on tap. My wife decided on a flight of four, 4 oz. samples($ 8). Her flight consisted of Troegs Sunshine Pils(4.5% abv); Founders All Day IPA(4.7% abv); Brewmaster Jack Hop Essence Simcoe(7.2% abv); and Brewmaster Jack The Little Brother(8.2%). She is a fan of IPAs and the bitterness of these brews, excluding the Pils, was quite to her liking. We were not starving for a dinner, but we knew we should have something in our stomachs before the drive back home. The menu offers a nice selection of cheeses, charcuterie, flatbreads, and sandwiches. We decided to share the Zesty Blue flatbread($ 9.50). It appeared to be a house-made flatbread topped with andouille sausage, crumbled blue cheese, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and chipotle sauce. While the center of the flatbread could have benefited from a bit more cooking time, it’s possible that the toppings had softened it. In any event, it was very tasty and enjoyable. We also couldn’t pass up a side of Marcona Almonds($ 3), a favorite of ours. Service was friendly, attentive and prompt. I’m sure we’ll be stopping here again when we’re in town.

Stopped in to grab some craft beers. Pretty cool spot. Had my first smoked beer. Then had a ginger beer. Then had a coffee nitrogen beer. Pretty awesome place for a beer aficionado. The cheese plate was a little on the smaller side. But the meat portions were huge. I’ll be back.

Great coffee, beer and wine bar. Have had a sampling of their coffees and all were very good. The beer and wine list is quite eclectic with many local beers on the list. Have not had any of the food offerings other than baked goods but these were fresh and delicious and the other items I saw being delivered to the tables also looked appetizing. Very chill, low key establishment that is comfortable to just lounge in for a bit.
