I have been here twice in the past two weeks and the customer service is completely lacking. Maybe I should really give them two stars. Last week I went and bought two very heavy bags of mulch and had my toddler with me. Well, there were a few strong looking workers(yes, they were men) who never offered to help me put the mulch in my cart or my car. These bags may weigh 40 pounds apiece. Another customer ended up helping me get these in my car. Today when I went in with a picture of a window box, I was told that Bigelow was out of two out of three plants in the photo and was not really given any alternatives or suggestions. The salesperson/gardener had a very flat affect and did not have a welcoming or helpful personality. I really want to like this place and I still think they have a great selection of plants. However, I will probably try out the Green Thumb in Westborough or some other local places that have a better reputation with customer service in general.

I really like this place because I am a no nothing dunce when it comes to plants, and gardening. Everyone that works here is very helpful and knowledgeable. I gave some weak description of a bush I wanted for my yard… and BOOM they got the right one. As far as price, it is comparable to any of the big box«home improvement» stores, with much better service, and there are hot dogs so yes, I will be back for more veggie plantings

Great variety and selection of plants and trees. BUT, the prices are outrageous. Seems like they sell to landscapers primarily, but I can’t imagine anyone paying so much for plants. Definitely for those who don’t care about price.

I love this place. Nothing wilts! They are so nice here. Everyone is knowlegeable about the plants and seem to genuinely want to help you make the right choice. On a few occasions, different staff have encouraged me to put back a more expensive plant in favor of something cheaper. Have something weird growing in your yard? Bring it in for an ID.
