Very casual«hole-in-the-wall» with picnic tables in the front. Food was very fresh, simple and homemade, but very tasty. I’d go there weekly if I lived in the area!

Stopped here for food on the way back from hiking at Mt Monadnock. Pulled pork sandwich was delicious, no complaints. Selection of drinks and sides was pretty limited though(no fries). Will be back to try the burgers next time I’m in the area, because the guy next to us got one and spoke very highly of it

I had no idea Northfield had a BBQ restaurant! I saw it driving through town today and decided to swing through. It’s very small: a counter to order inside and a few picnic tables out front. I picked the Alabama white sauce grilled chicken, onion rings and slaw with a half sour pickle. Everything was flawless. The grilled chicken had that lovely flame char to it and was super moist. The Alabama white sauce– Lord have mercy! I didn’t know you could even find any in Western Massachusetts, let alone one of this caliber. Phenomenal. The onion rings were tasty. The slaw was also notable. I don’t usually like coleslaw but this one had lots of dill and was scrumptious. I am honestly so excited that this gem is only a half mile away from my apartment. I can’t WAIT to go back. Oh, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

A few months ago we stopped in at this BBQ stand in Northfield for some lunch while passing through. This was the second time we ate at this restaurant and our experience was about the same both times, both times our meals were average BBQ. The food here is decent but there are a few different BBQ restaurant in the area that have similar quality food or better. The staff here is very polite and welcoming, but sometimes there seems to be a lack of communication in the kitchen and we waited for quite a while the last time we visited. That being said, this is a decent restaurant and we will continue to stop here time to time when traveling through the area.

I have passed this tiny place all the summers I’ve worked up here. It never seemed open. Because it is only open in the warmer months from 4:30 to dusk, Wed. To Sun. It is lip-smackin’ delicious. I got the pulled pork sandwich and hush puppies. So delicious. The hush puppies were exactly as I remembered then when I spent summers deep in the mountains of North Carolina. They came with a deep red sweet and spicy sauce that added just the right kick. For my main I got the pork because they didn’t have brisket, my preferred meat of choice for BBQ. It was smokey and grilley tasting, covered in a perfect, not too sweet sauce. The cole slaw was out of this world, not too mayonnaisey and with the flavors popping. If you are in the area, don’t miss this.

I took my family for BBQ tonight. I was very disappointed. I got the ribs, wife got the Cuban chicken, daughter the pulled pork and son the jumbo hot dog. The coleslaw was the highlight of the meal. We will not be back.

Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Ever. Cuban Pulled Chicken Sandwich — the meat melts in your mouth, and the bbq sauce was great. Just wish they had some healthy veggie side dishes…

This place was awesome. We spotted it on our drive from Boston to Manchester, VT and decided to stop on the way back. We weren’t hungry enough for a full meal, so I can’t vouch for the BBQ, but the fried pickles and french fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. After ordering the food and a sweet tea, the proprietor kindly walked our order out to us at the outdoor picnic tables(perfect for a sunny day). I had ordered a single sweet tea but he gave us a pitcher and two cups to share. There’s no indoor seating so if the weather is poor I suggest getting takeout. If I ever find myself in the area again I will definitely stop.

Great tasting BBQ! Pulled pork had a great smokey taste and was paired well with fresh coleslaw. Their burger however was over cooked and probably sat on the grill for too long making it dry and burnt. In all great place with fresh ingredients.

The grass fed burger was awesome ! So awesome I had two, the second was the BBQ burger, both medium rare. The sides were very fresh and you can tell they used local produce. The tomato and cucumber salad was refreshing and very fresh. The tomatoes were a gorgeous color and full of flavor, in fact all the tomatoes were delicious. The cole slaw was crisp and cool. I liked the potato salad, and finally the the crinkle cut fries with aioli mayo were nicely cooked and well seasoned. The St Louis BBQ ribs were tender and came off the bone. The sauce was/is traditionally sweet and did slightly overpower the ribs a little bit but there was nothing left so I will say give them a try. This place was loaded with all kind of bikers and IMHO bikers will ride many miles for good BBQ. I would say this would be a great destination for a ride on my motorcycle.
