Tunes is a place you can go to for several things, you can buy new and used CDs, used and new record albums, and used DVDs. They also advertise that Tunes is willing to purchase those things and more(IPods, guitars, Etc.) I’ve personally been inside just to browse the records for nostalgia and time killing. I was there on 08 – 25 and left with records by Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, U2, and Queen. They often have multiple pricing on the records based on the shape and condition of the record(I’ve seen the Beatles White Album for $ 30.00 in there before.) I’ve found the employees to be knowledgeable about music and movies, however they are not the clingy type, and they’ll often leave you alone unless you request assistance from them, which is something I personally adore about the place. It’s also interesting that the employees often play records from the store, some good, some bad, but that’s just personal taste. They also have«bargain» Vinyls for $ 1, my wife found a few albums she enjoys from there as well.

Tunes has got to be my absolute favorite place to shop and treat myself to something special. It is located in a little strip mall which also houses a News & Tobacco shop and, I believe, a bakery. Tunes, like its other locations, carries an extremely diverse selection of music CDs, vinyl, DVDs, books, posters, etc. I started coming here regularly when I first got into collecting vinyl albums, and have literally spent hours sitting cross-legged on the floor poring over the vast collection of musical treasures they carry. I’ve purchased LPs from Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Lionel Richie(don’t laugh), Michael Jackson, Elton John(I said don’t laugh!) and tons more for literally $ 1-$ 3 a pop. As I already mentioned, most of the stuff is pre-owned, but it is all inspected prior to Tunes purchasing it to ensure the quality. They also carry new releases: I’ve picked up Amy Winehouse’s «Lioness» and the re-issue of «Exile on Main Street» here. The DVD collection is absolutely huge. I also collect horror movies and I come here frequently to check their stock. On one trip I picked up 13 DVDs for a total of under $ 50. The staff is mostly younger adults, but for being young, they know a decent amoung about a variety of music. They’re not especially friendly, but they are very helpful. Several times I’ve been looking for a specific LP, and the staff are quick in offering to order it for me if they don’t have it in the store. The best thing to do here is if you see something you want, buy it immediately. Their stock changes over frequently and the prices are so reasonable, chances are your coveted item will be gone by the time you come back. Tunes will also buy your used vinyl, CDs, and DVDs. In addition, they sell concert tickets for all Atlantic City/Philadelphia venues.
