They don’t even deserve a star. No wonder this place doesn’t do good as the others. Servers are slacking!!! The games more important than customers. And let me tell you they only have 3 tables here on a Sunday and its Father’s Day! I had to stand up 2 times to ask for bibs for our table and rice came out last!!! Oh they didn’t even sit us and we’re a group of 10! I had to come to them because servers were watching tv! Oh btw were still waiting for the other 2 rice. And they come to us saying they’re just cooking the rice! It’s not even busy!!! And just now they are cooking the rice! Ugh so annoying. And they forgot some of the orders! And as customers seat themselves they have to grab their own menu. Lol ridiculous! That one star because food tastes good! They need to fire all the servers here. Slackers!!! The owner needs to watch his business because he’s losing money and customers! This is my first ever Unilocal review everrr… But the service is just that terrible! And I work at a restaurant and let me tell you. I know what great customer service is! We didn’t even finish the food because we lost our appetite!

Good service very friendly. Food was pretty good. A little pricy for what you get but a descent all around value. Kind of fun eating off the table covered in paper, kinda messy too lol

1) Overpriced for so little food. I think they count the lemons and sauce as part of their weight? We got at least $ 60 worth of food for 3 people but left feeling so sad and hungry. Had to fill up on burgers/burrito afterward for a fraction of the price. 2) Sub-par service. They forget to take our order initially, then when the food was brought out, one of our items was missing, then when we went to pay, they completely forgot what we had ordered. When asked about it, server admitted they don’t use a notepad to write down table orders; they simply have to remember it. Overall, would not come here again.

I really wanted to like this place…:(My 5 year old loves it and enjoys it like a reward… We have been here several times and the first time it was nice, but we were the only customers so that’s not very hard to please. Since then I have had very questionable experiences. Not to mention new staff each and every time I’ve gone… which now raises my concern and wonder why I’d rather not go into ALL the different times but one rather inconvenient time I came when they used to open at 3pm(which was very odd to not be open for lunch, but glad they changed that) no one was there to even open the place while we sat outside with the waitress for 1.5 hr… When the manager/cook got there he was so nonchalant and said«I had to address things with the owner… Sooooo». Then when we made our orders he still acted careless abt our time and accommodations. I explained how we rave abt the food at this place but we’re very disappointed. He wasn’t even concerned about how to make our experience better. Not even offering a complimentary appetizer. I had to ask when the bill came for something to feel better abt the whole experience but he said if I go on I can get a 10% discount… Huh!!! Ok nice guy, not only did I wait for him to come but it takes 45 min to even fully warm up the stoves… Thank you! And now here we are today… he was just as bad with his attitude yet AGAIN! the new waiters were so new I felt bad for them so I spoke to Mr. Willy(the guy I’m venting about) to get a certain order for my son and he messed that up… then the Oder of king crab was old and possibly soggy(not from the sauce either… more like NOTFRESHATALL) … I have never had crabs that bend and doesn’t crack… So when I asked abt it he told the new guy to tell me to cut it with scissors… Well I did… since that’s the only option you’re leaving me with.(I wasn’t sure I wanted to send it back because At this point I can’t trust Mr. Willy the manager and chef at crab n grab) maybe he has too much on his plate trying to juggle both positions at the same restaurant which recently opened and has never had more than 3 – 4 families eating at the same time or even that one time when it was just ME! …But again. thank you for another experience… Maybe I’ll recommend this place once they figure out their staffing(and make sure they have their most expensive crabs on the menu fresh for their customers to enjoy!) the extra stars go to the food!

I had gone over to Outback to seek out seafood but it was packed and I knew there selection was limited, HBBQ is fairly limited too. Then I discovered the Crab n Grab! Delicious flavors and the only place I know to get quality seafood in the SFV with out driving all the way to Santa Barbara. I recommend this place to everyone.

Ok. so I called in my order and they told me it would take 45 mins. no big surprise there. So 50 mins later I got there and my order wasn’t ready… that’s still okay cuz I would rather the food be fresh then it be waiting there for me. So the staff was friendly and all… and here comes the but… I ordered 3 lbs of shrimp, 2 lobster tails, fries… This isn’t my first time ordering shrimp from a spot like this I know what 3 lbs of shrimp is supposed to look like. So I put it on the scale… guess what 2.28 lbs with the water and seasoning. Wow… really pissed off at this point, but I decided to give them a try anyway… Well let me tell you something avoid this spot like the plague. I cannot explain to you how horrible the seasoning is… CG mix… hahahah is this supposed to be the whole shabang wannabie… only place that comes close to BC is Kickin Kasian…

I lived in Pismo Beach and Savannah, Georgia… But never thought I’d find a crab boil in Chattsworth. This place is great, a range of seasonings, perfectly cooked snow crab, and any fixin’s you’d want in a boil. Service was courteous and prompt, but it was an off peak hour when I was here. I am coming here again and bringing folks with me. Super fun, no forks! Dig in with your hands, kids!

Last night we decided to try another restaurant with same Cajun style seafood concept(although we love Kickin Kasian in Northridge, we’re open to try new places & visited at least 7 others). Menu looked pretty good, so here’s our review: –Excellent Service(server was his 1st day at work all by himself & nailed it) — Flavor did not penetrate shrimp(they tasted plain like at The Boiling Crab– just boiled, not marinated). — Only 6 shrimp for half a pound(at Kickin you get 9 – 11 big shrimp for half pound). –they should offer by the dozen instead of ripping people off– — Not HOT(spicy) enough — Delicious soft shell crab — No beer. WTF? — Good Parmesan-garlic-cilantro fries, but tasted like frozen fries Kickin KAsian is still the #1 place for Cajun-Asian style(but must add soft shell crab)…

Sorry but this is the worst Crab Boil place I’ve been to. The service was good but the seasoning is super off. There is no way I’m going to spend $ 20 on 1 crab cluster if it’s going to taste like this. Two thumbs down. I’ll take the extra drive to The Boiling Crab or the extra wait at Kickin Kasian. And if this is what easy butter looks like then I don’t even want to see it regular To be honest. I won’t be back

We had this delivered to our house yesterday. Smelled great, was nice and hot when it arrived double bagged. We had a good meal! Paid $ 62 for two people — ordered 1lb shrimp peeled, both Cajun garlic, I added sausage to mine, my wife added steamed rice to hers. We also ordered two sides of garlic bread. Tip is mandatory and delivery fee was $ 5. I want to give this 4 stars because all night after the meal, I felt icky in my stomach. I am sticking with 5 stars because it tasted great, however my wife was feeling a little sick this morning from it also. not sure if it was just too much chili oil, too much Cajun spice or what… but hopefully it doesn’t happen again. Might take a break from ordering from this place for a while. Still worth a try!

A seafood place in the valley that’s actually good. A friend and I ordered the king crab and shrimp without tail with their special mix and it was amazing. The seasoning was a perfect blend of spice, salt, and zest. On the other hand, the jalapeño poppers lacked flavor. It was overfilled with cream cheese, but still bland. The service was good, but there was only one girl for the entire restaurant. She provided great customer service, but just in case the restaurant got filled she was all alone, which would make it difficult for the restaurant to operate.

Service was not bad. But I think this place still need to figure out their flavor mixture to perfect them. Their XX Hot was far from spicy. It was kinda weak. Flavor wasn’t bad but not great. Soft shell crib was soooo tiny it doesn’t worth paying it. Will I come back? Maybe not…

Had such an AWESOME time here! The waitress was really nice and attentive and it was not packed, even for a Sunday when we rolled through. My BF absolutely loved and raved about the King Crab Legs and oysters; do yourselves a favor and order some oysters, even if it’s just the half order. This is our ONLY go to place for the BEST seafood in town! FYI, when we came by they didn’t have their liquor license yet but the waitress said we can bring our own in which will make our next visit that much more enjoyable too! Thank you, Crab N Grab and see you soon!!! :)

I was excited to try this place because I’m a huge fan of Boiling Crab but not the wait! I didn’t like Kickin’ Kaisin either. The décor is pretty cute inside and it took about 25 minutes for a to go order. The jalapeño poppers were really delicious and the garlic Parmesan fries were tasty. We got a pound of peeled shrimp with the sauce that had everything. And of course we had to throw in the corn on the cob and sausage! Overall, it was pretty tasty but I felt like the sauce was too lemony.

Super great staff. Especially Jamie. I wish they had the shrimp in ½ lb but that is the only critique. Good oysters. Good shrimp. Good eats. Csun students get a discount and there’s plenty of parking. You’ll know where to find my on Lenten Friday’s. #wandereatz

Been wanting to go here since they opened, just have not had the time. Finally had the chance to go tonight. I really like these types of restaurants and have been to many of them around the LA and Orange County areas. Crab and Grab is very similar and same concept. The really nice thing about Crab and Grab is you do not have the long wait like most of the other places like this. I got a pound of shrimp and added Corn, potatoes and a ½ pound of sausage. I got the Garlic Cajun Butter sauce, it was very good, medium spice, which I believe the next time I would go spicier, Medium spice was not really spicy to me at all. There is an up charge for the Corn, potatoes and sausage, decent amount of potatoes and sausage, but you only get a ½ piece of corn which I feel is not enough of a portion. We also got an order of the fried shrimp and fries, which both were excellent flavors and a a decent portion or shrimp with a lot of fries. These types of restaurants are not inexpensive, so be prepared to spend a minimum of $ 50-$ 60 for two people on the low end, including tip. Maybe not a regular night out at that price, but definitely when you have the craving, go it is worth it.

Only been here once, on a weekday afternoon. Young lady at the counter was very nice and my take-out order was served up quickly(10 minutes). I ordered the 1lb bag of shrimp with cajun garlic butter(spicy hot option) and the jalapeño poppers appetizer. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the cajun sauce was respectable with huge amounts of crushed garlic in copious amounts of sauce. Pretty tasty, The jalapeño poppers were just a tad overcooked for my taste, but I wouldn’t call them burned… Just a bit too crunchy and hot enough inside to still burn your mouth even after the ten minute drive home from the restaurant. Speaking of the drive home, the delicious smell of the cajun shrimp filling my car really got the appetite up. Next visit for me I’ll be trying one of the fish dishes, or maybe a crab dish. It is named Crab n Grab after all. The décor is pretty typical for these narrow strip mall restaurants. Pleasant enough looking with rows of booths along the walls. There’s a single large screen TV over the doorway that was tuned to a BE1N Sports channel and a soccer game in progress. Prices look fair. My order was $ 21, which provided enough food for two without drinks.

You have to try this place! I’m so glad I found this place on Unilocal. It’s really similar to Boiling Crab and Kickin Kasian and it’s really new. Honestly I think the flavors here are much better than Kickin kasian and just as good as Boiling Crab. The shrimp here are also really big compared to Kickin kasian. The staff is also extremely friendly unlike Kickin kasian where they really couldn’t care less. The best part of this place is since it’s so new, very little people know about it, so there’s no waiting! The prices are also really good and they have 25% off everything as an opening special so come try this place now before it becomes as crowded as Kickin kasian! 5 stars and definitely coming back!

This review is for the first day of their soft opening. Of course they were not prepared. Came with a big group so we were able to try a little big of everything. Fried scallops were good, they were lightly battered and seasoned well. I did not like their clam chowder, it was oddly sweet. I would skip the calamari, you only get about 10 rings and they aren’t that great. I did like their cg mix for their seafood, it is on the sweeter side and it isn’t too buttery. We ordered the blue crab but had to send it back since it smelled bad. Our server seemed inexperienced. We were pretty much his only table but it took a while for him to grab what we asked for. Food also took a while to come out, someone would get one bag but the next bag took another 5 minutes. Waited about a hour for all of us to get our food. There is definitely potential. The owner told us their grand opening would be in a few weeks, but to be honest I do not think they will be ready to handle a busy dinner service.
