El Pollo Loco

I came to this one because I was referred after having a bad experience at another location. As soon as I walked in they were very nice and welcoming. Jorge the one who took care of my order was very nice and made it easy for me to order. The place was very clean and organized. I specially liked that the salsa area was fully stocked and clean. People and places like this make it so you want to come back again.

This was the WORST food experience I have had. My dad and I decided to stop by El Pollo Loco on the way home to get some food for dinner. When we first pulled in to the plaza I was very disappointed to see the parking situation. The lot was very very small and it was hard to maneuver even in a sedan.
When we got inside our order was taken and we only waited a minute for our food to be ready (but let me make it clear that I would’ve rather waited longer and gotten better quality food than having waited a minute and gotten the food we did). Upon going to the salsa bar there were ROACHES crawling along the counter top roaming freely around the onions, cilantro, etc. One of the workers who was even over there cleaning noticed it and only said something when my dad spoke up. She told us she would notify her manager but I don’t believe she ever did, or I didn’t see her do so while we were in the restaurant. Even she didn’t know what to say when we brought it up so my dad and I grabbed the food and left.
When we got home and opened the chips (which you must pay extra for – not worth it) I was disgusted. They tasted like they had been friend in a nasty oil and were almost soaked in oil to the point of breakage. We had to throw away the chips because of how bad they were.
My dad even tried calling this particular store and they would answer and hang up before he said anything. I was very disappointed with this specific restaurant. Other El Pollo Loco’s I have gone to MOST DEFINITELY top this one. I WOULD recommend their food. It’s delicious and it’s great, but not from this particular store.

Consistent. The parking may such but they have a drive thru. But my favorite thing about this location is their staff. They’re all always very nice and friendly!

The parking lot here is terrible! It took my boyfriend probably a little over 10 mins to park in such a small space. And don’t get me started with the drive through… it’s a mess.
On to the food, their chicken is horrible! I go to the El Pollo Loco back where I grew up and I loved it there because they always know how well to cook the chicken.
Even after ordering the chicken «well done» at this location, I still got a very undercooked piece of chicken. The only thing I liked was their mac and cheese, which is to die for and how nice the staff (specifically these two gentlemen) was to me! Other than that, I’d rather go to a different location where it’s cleaner and less packed!

Theres ROACHES in this restaurant!!! ROACHES everywhere!!! Unless you are use to eating ROACH infested food please go there. ROACHES!!!

The food here is terrible. They messed up our order and some of our chicken was burnt. We will not be coming back anytime soon.

Love this place amazing food, friendly staff. I highly recommend the avocado quesadilla, ITS TO DIE FOR.

Extremely slow service of you walk in. Best if you put your order through the drive thru as they seem to place those order faster.

The service is really bad here, employees are always in a rush so they rush you when you want to order. Especially through the drive thru. I went several occiasions and they would get my order wrong everytime. i wouldnt recommend coming to this location.

Every time I go to this location, the communication is very difficult. It’s kind of expensive for a fast food chain, always around 20 plus and they always tell me they didn’t charge me for something and request more money. I seriously think the employees are doing shady things there. Love El pollo loco, but this specific location try and avoid.

Amazing chicken! Just can’t get enough. The service is great and the chocolate churros r my favorite dessert.
The other el pollo loco on saticoy n Louise has very poor customer service. I asked for another cilantro sauce and he questioned me asking that they only do 1 per order. But I had 2 orders anyway, me n my girl. So I had to ask for 1 and another for her order. He then had the nerve to question where my other order was. He could of just gave me 1 more sauce and I wouldn’t be complaining. Very embarrasing and I seriously had cold food by the time I got home. The stupid manager that questioned me was seriously smirking at me as if he got pleasure from upsetting me and my girl.
But I gotta say that the Reseda and Roscoe restaurant is respectful, prompt and treat customers how they would like to be treated. Thanks for reading my review.

Service sucks, I ordered ultimate chicken bowl paid combo $ 7.99 got cold rice and two small piece of cabbage. I called to inform the manager just to call it rang rang rang for 4 minutes to be put on hold for almost 4 minutes. Service sucks parking sucks. I didn’t have time to go back because I’m driving back few hours going north. This place sucks!!! I give them a zero!

The issue I have is your parking lot. Why do you build locations when your so limited in your parking? Your right down the street from North-​ridge Hospital. The volume do could do if you had more parking for your customers.
The store manager took my order. I remember her from a previous visit. I was surprised she didn’t offer any desert with my order. They have so many different items now. Remember your their leader. Your employees will follow you. Lead by example.
The salsa bar could have used some attention.
As for the food nothing real spectacular, just another E Pollo Loco. It met its standards.

It’s a pollo loco, I like their food and love there salsa but I despise the service and the speed of the service but nothing I can do about that. This pollo loco has no bathrooms so after getting the runs from eating so expired uncooked chicken you have to be ready to speed back home. The next door restaurant’s won’t let you use their restroom so that sucks.
Another bad quality of this pollo loco is the location, getting out of here is a mission. There is always traffic so is best to park in one of the little streets down roscoe or you will struggle to get out. As far as food quality goes, is better than kfc and popeyes.

The food is good, I just have a complaint about the location. There’s practically no parking because 4 or 5 locations share this little corner. Also, the drive thru is really tiny. I know I should be thankful there even exists a drive thru, but with no parking, this kinda bugs me. One of the hardest El Pollo Loco’s to visit in my opinion.

Rude! Rude! Rude!
First of it took 20 minutes to get my order. It wasn’t busy. Apparently they forgot to tell me they were taking a while to do leg and thigh chicken! Then I get the chicken and it’s the tiniest damn pieces of my life! I don’t understand how they were behind on the cooking, with the grill packed in the kitchen!
There was a new guy there who was polite, and prob the only reason this place gets 2 stars. He should’ve given me the heads up, I ordered with plenty of time to catch a bus, and I still ended up missing it.
Pissed? Yup yup.

I stopped by the other night ordered an 8 piece family meal very simple your standard two sides. Alright so I like chicken, who doesn’t?! but I like it juicy not burnt and dried up. My mistake was to order it at the drive thru so I wasn’t able to check the chicken. It isn’t close to my house so I didn’t bother going back.
I don’t know if I would give them another try.

It’s a tiny little drive-​thru, but the employees are always super cheerful and it’s fairly fast. They have a new under 500 calorie menu. Plus, I can easily make a left going up Reseda because there’s a left turn arrow! That’s what keeps me coming back. Fast lunches with increasingly healthier choices.

Late night drive thru. Love the chicken. Newest item that I love chicken avocado tacos. Not a big fan of corn tortilla for the tacos but still really filling and fresh.
Often get a meal to-​go and have plenty for lunch the next day
Sides: beans and rice can’t go wrong =)
