Delicious vegan options galore! Everything was amazing including the service. The team behind the counter seemed happy to be there and very much cared about the customer experience. A server named Baily took our order and told us all about the menu AND the vegan options. She was great! It was an all-around wonderful dining experience and we will be returning in the near future. We highly recommend this spot!

Came here on one of my «healthy feel good days» and ordered the FPF original veggie burger with a side of garlic fries. The gentleman who took my order was very attentive, before I got to the counter he made sure to welcome me and told me he’d be right there in a minute. My order took about 10 minutes and while I was waiting, I was able to get some of their original sauces to go. I was happy with the portion sizes and couldn’t even finish it. Great service and good food for sure!

This place is a Potato Korner masquerading as a vegan restaurant. It’s not really that vegan friendly guys! Let’s start with business hours. This is the second time I’ve found that they don’t honor store hours. I’ve come at 1 on a Sunday and they were closed and today at 12:05 and they watched us from inside holding our baby and didn’t care until they were ready. Then when they did open today, just turned the sign around, didn’t open the door or greet us. So rude. Four veggie burgers, none vegan and it costs $ 3 more to make them vegan. Taking what would be $ 8 for a «burger» the size of a homemade lunch sandwich from your mama into a $ 11 order. I will say that the food is tasty and comes out in a decent amount of time. But, again not worth the rude lady cashier.

The Original, delicious but messy. I can’t complain about flavor because it was so flavorful and filling(for $ 8 it better be!). But the stacking of spinach and overload of their yummy pesto mayo made it difficult to eat without creating a mess. Overall, I’d come back and try the tacos or breakfast burrito, but if ordering the«burger» again, but request they put less sauce and put spinach either in the side or half the amount. Their selection of sauces and drinks was great, though!

This place was bomb. I was stoked to check it out based on its reviews even though I’m picky about potatoes(fried, mashed, or chipped). I ordered the breakfast sandwich(no facon, light cheese – think I’ll try to substitute something for cheese next time) but the sandwich was delicious. The potatoes were cubed and had the skin and looked similar to home fries, but they were so soft they were probably one step short of the mashed potatoes I love so much. Also the panini bread was delicious. I’m a HUGE bread eater and I must be won over by the bread used in sandwiches. Also it’s very cute that they shape the sandwich like a heart. I love that this is a vegetarian restaurant too. I’m not a vegetarian, but I severely limit the amount of red meat and poultry in my diet. However, while many non vegetarian restaurants in la provided vegetarian options, the options are usually below that restaurants par. And trying to turn something into a vegetarian option at non-vegetarian restaurants usually takes a lot of creativity and substitutions which lead to confusions and order errors. So props to dedicating your restaurant to making delicious vegetarian, potato-based dishes.(Also, for vegans out there, they got you covered too). The sauces I tried were the chipotle mayo, the coconut curry, and the spicy BBQ. Loved the chipotle and BBQ, but the BBQ could have been spicier. Also, kinda enjoyed the coconut curry, however I’m not a fan of coconut either, so considering that even I kinda enjoyed it, I can guarantee you that it’s pretty good. They seem to be fairly Eco-friendly, too.(They don’t provide plastic containers for the sauces, you just squirt it on the paper lining the tray. Also they advertise that they donate to local charity, but I don’t know which one so would be worth asking.) They were out of pesto mayo, unfortunately. So I’m excited to try that next. Also, I’m looking forward to taco Tuesday and can’t wait to try the other items the menu has to offer!

I LOVE this place. I’ve been here once and next time I’m in the Valley, I’ll go again. — It’s great for vegetarians and the food is super filling — SOMANYOPTIONS — Unlimited sauces(plus vegan and vegetarian options) Parking: tiny lot or street, but free Wifi: pretty strong Service: super nice but slow ambience: trendy, hip, but the space is really small Overall, will definitely go again!

I was randomly in north ridge, needing someplace to eat lunch and decided to come here. Overall I was very happy with the tacos and thought the idea of potato tacos is very genius, but the service let me down. The reason I gave 3 stars is because I had to wait almost a half hour for my lunch in an almost empty store. I must have arrived at a bad time because there was only one person ahead of me in line but it took almost a half an hour to receive my food. I think someone had called in a huge order before me, and I would have loved a heads up about how long it would really be. If I had known I would have gotten my food to go originally. I had planned on eating there with lots of left over time before I had to get back to work, but I ended up putting two tacos into a box and bringing them with me. Again I really did like the tacos(2 fpf and 1 sweet potato) but the service clouded my overall experience.

Try the Panini Breakfast Sandwich, it is to die for. I am a HUGE meat eater but this place has definitely taken my mind off of meat for a while to experiment other foods. The Sweet tacos are good too, which is weird because I normally like to eat carne asada tacos.

This review isn’t fair because I’m basing it on the one dish I had here which was their garlic wedges. But, in my defense, this one potato dish that I tried was disappointing for a place called«Fresh Potato Factory.» You’d think they’d do potatoes right. The wedges were smothered in raw garlic. Don’t get me wrong. I’m part Korean and I can eat raw garlic like there’s no tmrw. However, the garlic on the taters were so overwhelming. It was painful to eat. Also, the potatoes weren’t even cooked all the way through. It was huge, tough potatoes with raw garlic. I will definitely give their other dishes a try because I love potato. But the one thing I tried there definitely fell flat of expectations.

I have been waiting forever to try this place. Finally today I got to go. First– The young lady who was working today(4÷13÷16) at 1PM was FANTASTIC. She was so cheerful, nice and helpful. We told her we had never been so she was very generous with her information. I ordered the Mediterranean Veggie Burger and it was just packed full of flavor. Really nice. I went out of my comfort zone in trying the hummus and I was so glad that I did. The mashed potatoes were DELICIOUS. Who knew mashed potatoes could be that good. Creamy with lovely flavor. The Garlic wedges are also pretty scrumptious. I got the combo– prices were reasonable. I hope I get to come back again soon.

Ask for extra garlic on your garlic fries. You’ll love it! I like that they stock the soda machine with unique non cola flavors There are plenty of vegan options like fake bacon/cheese and lots of different sauces to add even more flavor to your meal.

The place is small and quaint. The staff were very friendly and service was great. I had the FPDF original and a Mediterranean salad. Both were amazing. My wife had a large green salad. She also tried the potato chowder. She was pleasantly surprised with the amount of flavor it had; she didn’t need to add anything to it. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Kudos!!! Well done.

I like the concept but, I’m not impressed. A plate full of potatoes isn’t my idea of a complete meal. So, to make it more nutritious I have the great idea to add the steamed vegetables. What a mistake! Steamed vegetables on top of potatoes isn’t tasty. The potato tacos were marginal at best. The best part of the restaurant is the soda fountain. The sodas are all unique and really good.

Got the potato tacos, pretty good! Staff was very friendly. I like the vegan options. Some of their sodas were unavailable and the menu is really limited. I know they specialize in potatoes but I was craving some crispy, thin fries and they just had soggy wedges :/

Before going to Fresh Potato Factory, I thought it was just a french fry place lol. After walking in I quickly realized it was a vegan place… oops haha. Traditionally a meat eater, I can’t imagine life without at lease, beef, chicken, fish or pork… but in the spirit in trying something new I went with it anyways. I ordered the tacos… and a western burger. HOLYPOTATO!!! That was one of the best tacos and burger I have tasted and it was meatless hah! I do appreciate that fountain soda machine contains drinks that agave for sweetness/sugar. I would for sure recommend if you are near the Northridge area. It is very close to CSUN’s B5 parking lot, a nice walk for sure but very manageable. Also the staff here are professional and friendly.

Interesting place, but a bit confusing. When I go to a café or someplace other than the«dining experience», no one is gonna take a great deal of time to study the menu. We want to order, get the food and be done. Well, you kind of have to study the menu at this place. I understand Educate the Mouth slogan, but we are not all nutrition students at CSUN! Also, who decided that yellow with light green is a great menu color option to show contrast so we can see what it means in the pretty dark ambiance?! First, I’d like to rant about how bad a name I think it has. It’s almost as if the owners asked a close family member what to call the place, and they just went with what ever the first thing came to mind. Zero marketing thought. Marketing 101 will tell you how bad a wrap potatoes have gotten in the past decade. Really bad! Let me also say something about the food industry and the word«factory», particularly in a café/fastfood style place… They simply don’t go well together! So just on title, name, book cover alone, you are turning away plenty customers. You could have gone with YamYums, SpudHut… something, anything but«Fresh Potato Factory». Its just so unpalatable! The word fresh is also overplayed and has shown to be too unbelievable in marketing. Look at the Fresh grocery store… gone! That grocery store called Fresh something didn’t last! Look at Freshii, while not a great name, the twist and singular word does become catchy. Fat chance with FPF. I’m already using initials! Now that I got that off my chest(and thanks to extra time and voice to text) I can continue the review! The food menu is another disaster. So all these negatives, then why 3 star. Heck they could easily get 5 star if they made up their minds more clearly. When you have veggie burgers by DEFAULT use non mayo ingredients in the sauces! Why confuse people? Make it Vegan Dummy proof, not where you label sauces on the bar with Vegan this and that, and then on your veg burgers use DISGUSTINGFATGLOBULEMAYO for the sauces! Another thing, when you have vegan cheese, why do I have to ask for it! I have to give a large part of the blame to the girl taking the orders. She was not well informed ATALL. Which reflects on your training. Now I had the great pleasure of extra time reading every thing on the walls… From the 2014 Chopped episode, to potatoes not having any trans, nor saturated fats. I had no clue the white potatoes were closer to the night shade plants of tomatoes more so than yams! amazing! I asked for your most recommended sides, and she said the garlic fries. I asked if I can get these well done… Fat chance. she said sure, and even gestured to the bearded guy making all the food, but when it came down to it, they just put the regular chunks of potatoes in. I took them home toasted them some more and with a dash of olive oil and salt they crisped up rather well! I will come back as I really enjoyed the sandwich patty. But there are a few core things that could be done to improve and to «legitimize» the experience! I think as I explore the menu, and if I can get over the name, I could take it a star higher. But if they do anything to the name, I will automatically give it a star! I know. Don’t judge a book by its cover. You likely lose 40−70% business due to this simple«first impression» marketing error.

I got the garlic fries. It is hard to base a review off of one item off their menu, but I’ll update it if I decide to come back and try a few more things. The fries were not soft at all they were kinda firm. Also the smell of garlic was very pungent. Too pungent. When you take a bite the flavors are gone. It is just the outside of the fries that are drenched in the garlic seasoning.

A delicious potato place that is vegan-friendly. The place is small with few tables and service was ok, but the food was definitely something else for me. I started with the Mediterranean salad(spinach, olives, feta, tomatoes, mint, walnuts, Mediterranean dressing) which was absolutely great. Then I also had the garlic fries which were more like garlic potato wedges, which had chopped garlic cloves which I always like, but were giant wedges were not exactly my style of potato. My favorite item had to be their Samosas. Paired with the Coconut Curry Sauce, they were delicious. I can see myself coming back here when I’m in a healthy mood.

I was feeling hungry, and wanted something light and healthy. I came across this place here on Unilocal, and decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly as I came in, and I bought the veggie burger and sweet potatoes. I paired the food along with spicy BBQ and pesto mayo. As I took my first bite, I felt a party going on in my taste buds! It was so delicious! I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about this place before, I will be coming back. P.S It’s good for the people who have a sensitive digestive system and want something light.

I love their potatoes! Especially sweet potato with sour cream and corn. So delicious. This place is vegetarian and vegan friendly, and there are so many options of what you can eat. The restaurant itself is a little small, you can go with a group, but you would be seated in different areas. Maybe a small group of 2 – 3 would work. It is also very clean, and they clean up the tables all the time. The service is also very awesome. They can provide so many options if you are just not sure on what you want. They are also very nice and will go beyond to help you out. One time I really wanted a sweet potato and called to ask if they had any left, they only had one more and they said they would save it for me. I arrived and they still saved it for me, I was so happy I got my sweet potato. What I didn’t like about this place, was that they would run out of sweet potato too often. There were quite a few times it happened, it was usually in the evening that they would run out. So that lead me to having to call and see if they had anything left. In the end, I still like coming here to eat some sweet potato or baked potato. I think it was a great idea to just open a restaurant that will serve you potatoes, they are so delicious!

We came as invited guests in exchange for our honest Unilocal review. We were able to try the sandwiches and drinks so we ordered the breakfast panini, golden panini, and fountain drinks from their organic soda selection. We added garlic fries(which we paid for). I really did want to like this place, but I’m not a fan. For what it costs, the sandwiches and fries portions are small(please refer to my pics). Although I didn’t pay to try the sandwich, I would probably not go back to eat it again. Between the two we ordered, the golden panini was a lot better. Good, but not worth the price. The breakfast panini felt like potato overload. Their potatoes are pretty bland and the fries are jumbo pieces. The additional flavors only came from the garlic they put on top and the many choices of dip to choose from. Without it, it felt like biting into a regular potato. I personally prefer smaller cut fries. There are many sauce options to suite your desire and the organic soda machine was pretty unique. I did try all the flavors and some were decent and worth drinking again. Seating is quite limited. They have counter-like table stretched against two of walls, but they seem almost useless since the tables/chairs right next to them block any comfortable way to sit at the counter. Lack of space at the restaurant, but the table layout makes it worst. There are a couple tables out front so you can also grab a seat there. Overall, I MIGHT go back to try their fries with different toppings because some of the Unilocal pictures look quite tasty.

I’m a fan of vegetarian food, fast service, good deals, and potatoes, and this place offers all of those. I’ve yet to be disappointed with anything I’ve tried, but I’m particularly fond of the chili. It’s not easy to find a good bowl of veggie chili, and while it’s not the most exciting bowl of chili I’ve ever had, it hits the spot for sure. Order online and they’ll have it ready for you within a few minutes. Only downfall to that is you don’t get the 10% off, but I like expediency, so I’m okay with that.

I have been on a potato kick lately and have heard about this place so I decided to check it out for lunch. Not sure what to order I picked the golden panini with a side of wedges. They currently have a deal where you get a free drink with an order of a sandwich and side. I got my meal, presentations was nice, so many potatoes on my plate. I selected some dipping sauces from the eight to choose from. My favorite, the chipotle mayo. I dipped my sandwich and wedges in it. Although there really isn’t a need to dip the sandwich because it’s pretty full of flavor. Cheesy potatoes, with peppers and onions smashed between flat grilled panini bread. I was only able to finished half the sandwich but it was good. Ordering a side of potatoes with a sandwich full of potatoes may have been potato overload. I was stuffed and didn’t even finish either. Maybe a side salad or chili would have been a better choice. I interesting concept. Interesting little shop. I would come again.

I’d warn Mr. Potato Head to stay away from here, because this place has no mercy for potatoes! Okay, we can step aside from my bad jokes now. I never expected Northridge to have a great little food spot like this one! Every day after 5 pm, it’s the customer’s finest happy hour and the potato’s deadliest hour. Potatoes are $ 5 each with five toppings. This is referring to the potato wedges, baked potatoes, and mashed potatoes. My boyfriend and I ordered a panini and chili cheese fries. They were freshly made; this place doesn’t use fryers or freezers! The fries were like big, warm wedges of carbs drenched in beans and all types of sauces, including the ones you can add on on your own. We tried the coconut curry and the chipotle mayo on the side to dip with. The bread of the panini must have been homemade, as well. It was thin, yet not crispy and had a good balance with the ingredients in the sandwich… And yes, one of those ingredients was potatoes. Basically, I was so satisfied during my meal. I did, however, feel a little overwhelmed with the carbs in the end. It’s not something I’d eat each day(–cough-maybe every week though), but it’s definitely one of the most attractive food places in Northridge in my opinion.

Uggghhhhh my stomach is stuffed!!! I have been wanting to try this place for about a year, tonight I finally had the opportunity to try them out and I must say I was NOT disappointed. My wife and I shared a baked golden potato with: cheese, sour cream, and corn; chili cheese fries with jalapeño added, a buffalo bleu veggie burger, and a breakfast panini. We didn’t know what the portion sizes would be like but honestly they are huge and more than enough. If you’re a couple, 2 panini and one potato or fries would be more than enough food to feed yourselves and have leftovers… We ordered way too much but we had a good sampling of yummiess and leftovers for lunch :) We did a carryout and the service was pretty darn good. The chef told me he was the best and honestly I’m going to have to agree with his proclamation lol. Everything was absolutely amazingly delicious, seriously not over exaggerating. There was delicious melting cheese, chili was great, and then paninis were so good they make you talk out loud as you taste each bite«mmm baby taste this!». Price isn’t bad at all considering it’s all organic and they donate :) we now have another little spot we will be visiting much more frequently. Trust me the food is DELICIOUS!

If you’ve never been interested in vegan food, this might be the place to change your mind. «The Fresh Potato Factory» is pretty self-explanatory. Here you’ll find potatoes in any form; potato wedges, baked potato, and mashed potatoes. You can order this as either sweet potato or golden potato, and 5 toppings for only $ 5. It’s a steal, especially because the servings are big enough for 2 to share. I ate here the other day and was very impressed by how clean and nicely decorated the inside of the restaurant is. It’s small but has a cute, modern style. Even the bathroom was very clean. When you order your food they cook it fresh. You’ll know when they’re working on your order because you could smell it as it’s being prepared. I ordered golden potato wedges with cheddar/jack cheese, jalapenos, steamed vegetables, butter, and Facon(vegan bacon). Although it looked like a goopy, cheesy mess, it smelled and tasted awesome. The combination of toppings I chose were a good mix and they all worked well together. The Facon tasted just like regular bacon and I was very impressed. I was a great topping paired with the cheddar/jack cheese. The jalapenos spiced up my meal but weren’t too overpowering. I could’ve gone without the steamed vegetables, but they were pretty good too. Overall, everything was very delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone because it has something for everyone. Although it is a vegan place, there are a lot of toppings to choose from on the menu. I’m not vegan, but The Fresh Potato Factory was so good I’m sure I’ll become a regular customer. Especially because it is so close to the CSUN campus and very affordable.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I love the concept and the staff was super friendly. In theory, it is a great idea, but I’m not sure how well it is executed. I got the sweet potatoes mashed and put on some toppings. I have a feeling i may just have ordered a weird combination but it was basically a big mushy pile of odd flavored sweet potato mash. I feel like there needs to be more topping options as i just didnt feel like anything went with it other than your typical brown sugar and butter or cheese. i want to come back and try it with either fries or baked as i feel that this will give the food more texture and maybe it will taste better. my mother ordered a samosa which was huge, much different than a typical samosa, but she said it was very spicy. this is good for people who like spicy, but for someone who is not used to very spicy food, i would stay away. I did think the prices were great and loved the assortment of sauces. i will update my review upon returning and trying another variety of potato.

Came in here because I had seen the owner was a contestant on chopped. That being said, I wasn’t aware this place was mostly vegetarian and vegan plates. Me and my boyfriend are foodies and we are always open to new experiences so we decided to give them a shot. The place was pretty empty which was surprising to me because everything smelled so good. I ordered the golden panini. It comes with potatoes, grilled onions and peppers, cheese and a house aioli. It was very tasty! The cheese was melted perfectly I added some chipotle mayo which was delicious and had a great kick. My boyfriend ordered the PFP Original veggie burger and he was very happy with it. He’s a big meat lover but he was more impressed with it than some other«real meat» burgers from other places(like chillis) I took a bite out of it and I was too impressed. Very tasty and well seasoned. I overheard the cashier say there was about 16 ingredients in the burger which explained the great flavor. We also ordered Potato wedges(they are $ 5 with 5 toppings if you order after 5 p.m.) we got butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, jalapeños and«Facon bits»(fake bacon). When we got them they had accidentally put pickles but they were very quick to make a brand new batch and they offered a soup on the house for the mistake. That’s quality costumer service. Once we got our correct order we dug in. They were monstrous! We had to bag them because we had no more room. They don’t use friers all potatoes are baked! Which makes it so much better for your health. They also offer fountain drinks that are sweetened with agave. We both tried the strawberry one and it was perfect! They also have a wide array of dipping sauces. We tried the chipotle mayo and the ranch and both were very impressive. Also worth mentioning all their items are biodegradable and green(forks, napkins, to go boxes) which is great for our planet. I also saw that they donate 1% of every $ 1 to a local charity for every order. HOWAWESOMEISTHAT? Overall we had a great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and presented well, and there was a chill environment. We will definitely come back here and bring our vegan and vegetarian friends. P. S. If you check in with Unilocal you can get 10% off. I did so but forgot to use the coupon(oh well)

Potato sandwich?! For those of you who never tried it, just order it. It’s not as weird as you might think. My friend and I both got the sweet potato panini, which was delicious! The roasted bell peppers with the creamy aioli, feta cheese, and sweet potatoes was a stellar combination of flavors. The variety of COMPLIMENTARY dipping sauces(8 types) also made the experience so much better, as I got to change up the flavor with every single bite! I admit I kept thinking about how a slice of bacon would make it perfect, but overall, it’s a great sandwich I would come back for. The only bad thing about the experience here was the potato wedges that came with the sandwich. They were cold and nothing special — I think I might have come on a bad day though, because it seems like the fries were sitting out for a while due to a lack of customers. Other than that, definitely a place worth trying if you want a light meal! Don’t count on the panini filling you up — I definitely had to eat again not too long afterward. Check in on Unilocal to get 10% off! And their happy hour is after 5pm. Get a baked potato or fries with 5 toppings for $ 5!

Pretty dang good. Another win for Northridge. I know this has been here for a while, but finally got to try it and was very happy. You get to choose from a baked yellow/white or sweet potato/yam, and then just go with your toppings. You can go healthy with vegetables and low/no fat. I’ll admit I went full fat on my visit with cheese, butter, sour cream… and broccoli to make it healthy. ;) Good options, good value, fresh, tasty, pretty fast… it’s a win!
