Ever wish that the county fairs where open year round? Wrappidup is as close as it gets! Good luck finding something that isn’t deep fried here! But unlike the fairs this place isn’t overpriced. It’s cheap and delicious! What got me to come in here is the MAMMAMIA. What exactly is the MAMMAMIA you ask? Well besides being ooey goeey goodness it is a deep fried lasanga. So good that it’s only available on Wednesdays and Sundays. The other entrees are amazing as well. You can’t really go wrong. They also offer desserts here! Deep fried snicker is absolutely my favorite! When I come here I find myself laughing and crying at the same time. Laughing because I’m enjoying my food. And crying because I can feel my arteries clogging with every bite but I finish every morsel! The guy behind the cash register is always helpful and friendly. He makes you feel like he wants your business and that you’re an appreciated customer even if it’s your first time there. I love people that love their customers! He also helps the indecisive so don’t be afraid to ask him what he recommends or to explain further what’s exactly in each entrée. Only downside here is that the parking lot is teeney tiny. Come here for some comfort food at a great price! And also if you don’t care about all of it going to your thighs!

It’s a simple concept really, it’s time tested, EVERYTHING is better when it’s deep fried! You like cheesesteaks? You like chili? You like burritos? How about shrimp? Hamburgers? Hotdogs? Fish filets? Omelettes? Great! You’ve come to the right place! But wait, they don’t sell all of these delicious items separately. Nope! They stuff all of those assorted dishes inside a flour tortilla and deep fry that sucker! I want to shake the hand of the genius stoner who came up with this place! Sir, I commend you for putting down the bong long enough to open Wrappidup! You like sweet stuff? You no longer have to wait for the county fair to partake in stuffing your face with deep fried Twinkies or Snickers! They even have a deep fried Ferrer Rocher! Deep fried Nutella with chocolate and hazelnuts! Amazing! To Hell with your diet! Your cardiologist be damned! Go to Wrappidup and eat something bad for you that tastes so good! I can already feel my mouth watering and my arteries hardening! Even if you have a heart attack at the table, or walking back out to your car, you’ll die with a smile on your face! And that’s not a bad way to go.

Area: Wrappidup is located on the corner of Lassen and White Oak. It is in a small plaza along with a liquor store and a few other small shops. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little freaked out coming here alone at night. It seemed kinda sketchy, but I’m sure during the day it is perfectly fine. Staff: The guy at the counter was sooooo nice! He figured out ways of getting me a deal for everything I was getting and a way for me to pay the minimum by using cash, which was perfectly fine with me! Most places won’t even go through that trouble. He didn’t rush me at all even though there were people waiting behind me and even gave me tips on how to keep the food fresh since I was getting it to go. The staff making the food was incredibly quick on getting it done for me. I got in and out within 10 – 15 minutes even though I ordered three different items. Food: We ordered the Big Dipper(deep fried), the Chili Cheesesteak(deep fried) and The Casket. I would highly recommend all three items, just without the coleslaw. I think it might be their specialty so they put it in everything, but I personally didn’t enjoy it all. The Casket was on the spicier side, so beware! The deep fried tortillas were soooooo good. The portions are HUGE! The one thing I didn’t enjoy, however, was that the bottom of the tortilla was soggy by the time you got down to it. Tip: $ 0.50 charge for all credit/debit card purchases under $ 6.00

Any place that bases their menu on deep fried goodness will almost always get 5 stars from me. We came here the day after Christmas. There wasn’t a soul to be found in the restaurant. I kinda liked it though. I ordered the Philly cheese steak deep fried along with heart-stopping concoction they call«The Casket.» One of the things that I really liked about this place was that they actually have a how to order menu, so that, unlike some restaurants that are special like this, you actually can figure out how to order things correctly and order exactly what you want. When ordering you do have the option of deep fried or grilled, but seriously, why grill when you can deep fry? I mean come on now! My first thought before I ordered/bit into my philly cheese steak was that this was going to be really heavy and I will probably have to be rolled out of here once I’m done. I was surprised to find out that they use tortillas and they are deep fried. I was thinking there was going to be bread. With the deep fried tortillas, the deep frying creates a thin and crispy outside so it make it all that much better. Now about The Casket — Fries, Onion rings, smothered in Chili, coleslaw and loads of cheese. I was in heaven. I just wanted to bury my face in that mixture and die peacefully. I was impressed. I did have to be rolled out of the restaurant. This place is a great idea. I hope it’s around for a long time because I can’t go there every week, but definitely once every 6 months would be all good.

Awesome place. The vibe of the place itself is eh, but the people are REALLY friendly here. Really helpful in helping you pick what you want if you’re not sure, especially for a first timer ilke myself. The food takes a while, but it’s worth the wait. Don’t forget your student ID for a discount!

Who would have thought a place like this exist especially in Northridge. Like many of those that enter this spot, we went inside confused with their intricate menu. The giant board that hangs over the cashier is not a menu but instructions. WTH?!? Luckily the cashier saw our starred looks and gave us a real menu. We started off with their Chili Cheesesteak and fries. The chili cheesesteak was somewhat not living up to the hype. Who eats cole slaw with their chili, not this guy, plus wasn’t a fan of the scarce meat portion. It was like eating a giant chimichanga with chili cheesesteak, it wasn’t bad but okay. My friend oddly started chowing on the desserts and I kinda realized why, the fried pumpkin pie(seasonal) was fantastic. It had the perfect amount of cinnamon and powdered sugar. Then there was the fried snickers, the caramel was warm and melted perfect for the cold of weather. But I do got to admit this isn’t the type of place for the weak links. For those that need their fried food fix or having withdrawals from the county fair like myself, come here.

I don’t know if my expectations were high based on the positive Unilocal reviews but this place was a huge disappointment. I bought the Unilocal deal and eagerly went on a Sunday at 7pm to try the Mama Mia wrap. They ran out. Unfortunately, they run out of that quickly on Sunday and coming two hours before closing time was not a good idea. Therefore, I ordered the Shrimpferno wrap but unfortunately, they have also ran out of shrimp! I gave up and asked the cashier for his recommendation. He said that the Big Bird wrap was similar to the Shrimpferno; instead of shrimp, it had chicken. He also recommended that it was grilled instead of deep fried. So I heeded his advice and ordered the Big Bird, grilled. The Big Bird was just lacking in flavor. Note to others: You might want to put condiments on yours. My boyfriend got the Chili Cheesesteak wrap(deep fried) and that was more flavorful. I didn’t care for the onion rings or waffle fries. The portion size of those were kinda small and they tasted mediocre to me. I did go back a second time to try that Mama Mia wrap because I love pasta but they were closed due to an emergency. I went back a third time on a Sunday around 5pm, not 7pm, this time and even called ahead to assure that they had the Mama Mia wrap. They did and I had it at last. The lasagna tasted bland and the fact that it was wrapped up in some tortilla and deep fried did not do it any justice. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of flavor. I also have to mention, during both visits, there was no air conditioning in this restaurant. Rather, there was a small fan vascillating back and forth providing a small blow of cool air onto sweating customers. It was very hard to enjoy sitting in that restaurant. I wanted to get out as soon as I was done eating. The drinks that they have are in a can and they give you a cup of styrofoam with ice for your soda can drink. So this means no refills. It also means that your drink is not going to save you in this desert heat you embrace inside this restaurant. Nonetheless, I did appreciate the helpful and generous customer service that I received. However, the food was not as good as I thought it’d be and I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon.

Been wanting to try this place for a while, glad I did. Walked in greeted by two nice people, offered recommendations and I’m glad I took them. I ordered the superbird but grilled. The wrap was really good and totally different taste than I expected, the chicken was juicy and very tender. I’m pleased and would definitely go back!

Sometimes, the words flow out quickly… while other times, it’s so hard for me to put pen to paper(or rather fingers to the keyboard) and actually have the words come out Anyway… I’ve just been putting off writing this review. Pumpkie and I ate here on a very hot Sunday afternoon. The place is a little hot. The guy apologized for the heat… since they’re cooking and deep frying in the back… so no big deal. It’s just a little hot… and since the food is also hot… it makes it a little uncomfortable. I had the Mama Mia… which is lasagna wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep fried. It was very interesting… different than anything I’ve had… but still tasty. Surprisingly the tortilla«shell» held up well to the pasta and sauce inside and made it kind of stromboli like. The tortilla with the lasagna made for a surprisingly good combination. The Mama Mia is only served a couple days during the week… which I like. I like the idea of going some place to get something unique on a certain day. This might be a turn off to some people… but it’s not to me. Pumpkie had the eggsecutioner… which a cuter name… I couldn’t come up with myself… and was filled with eggs, chili and their house slaw. He said that he liked their coleslaw even though he typically doesn’t like coleslaw… so I guess that’s a good thing. :) The food was good… it’s near CSUN… so it’s definitely a college student place and it’s very affordably priced and something totally different that you should definitely try.

When they handed over the wrap, it just looks like a dry chimichanga. It’s a hybrid between Fab hot dogs & a burrito joint. It’s more for the experience than the taste/quality of food. It has a strange resemblance of a food truck but in storefront form. It gets that extra star for the convenience of having a storefront. Otherwise, I would’ve only given a one-star rating. You can get the wrap grilled, but isn’t that one of the reasons why you’d go to a place that deep-fries it? You feel compelled to order it fried! And what could be semi healthy has turned into a heart attack in a red tray. Don’t do it!

My roommate’s brother gave us a food tour of the valley. I’m from Norcal so prior to moving to Orange County I had no idea that LA was much bigger than just downtown. The fact that a valley exists beyond LA blew my mind. Anyways our food trip took us around the Northridge and Tarzana area. One of our first food stops was Wrappidup. It’s greasy, affordable food, at it’s finest. This is the kind of grub you can expect from a food truck(they should make a food truck and drive it over to the OC… *hint hint* bring Wrappidup to my area please). Besides the regular menu they have specials that change. The day we visited their dessert special was deep fried ferrero rocher! This is not a place you go to when you’re on a diet or trying to eat healthy. I opted to get my shrimp wrap wheat and grilled. Even though it tasted amazing i’m pretty sure it was still packed with calories. I really enjoyed my wrap though. The wrap included coleslaw which provided a nice refreshing contrast to the deep fried shrimp. I also got a side of garlic waffle fries. As much as I loved the garlic topping I wasn’t too keen on the waffle fry itself. It wasn’t that crispy. Someone in our party ordered the spicy onion rings and the rings had great texture but were also extremely spicy. I would return again! These wraps induce major food coma but whatever it’s so worth it!

MMM! Came here with two friends because one of them recommend that we try at least once. I got the shrimp burrito(grilled) combo meal. The total was less than $ 8. There is student discount = 10%. The combo meal comes with waffle fries and a soda. The shrimp burrito was pretty good! The burrito isn’t too big, but definitely enough for one person. There’s plenty of veggies in the burrito. The waffle fries were really good too, but a bit too greasy. The oil was all over my fingers. I will be back for sure! I want to try the other burritos. A single burrito is less than $ 6. Totally worth it. Service is great. Definitely takes care of its customers. You can eat inside or take it to go. I believe they do deliver. The parking lot is really small so either you have to park on the street or if you live close by, take a walk! You might need it after a bit of a heavy meal.

Bizarro world for wraps. Forget healthy greens and tofu in a spinach wrap with some quinoa thrown in for good measure. These wraps pack serious calories and cholesterol. The most popular wrap is a chili Cheesesteak wrap that’s deep fried. I did the best I could to be healthy and ordered a chicken wrap that was grilled instead of deep fried. Good stuff. I must go back and get their #1 dish even if it will literally kill me. Wrappidup is a big F.U. to traditional notions of wimpy wraps. Looks like a great place for CSUN students with greater metabolisms than mine. My sandwich came with a free drink. I’m giving it four stars for unique concept and number of food comas caused per day.

Finally tried Wrappidup thanks to Unilocal reviews. I’ll start with the CONS first: 1. small parking lot… I mean, tiny! 2. Fillings of wraps are smaller than I wanted. 3. Their homemade chilli wasn’t my thing, nothing I would crave. 4. Prices. The thing is, I bought a Unilocal deal($ 10 for $ 15 value). After ordering one wrap combo, fries, and dessert, I thought. «No, I wouldn’t pay $ 15 for all of that.» 5. Garlic fries were just ok. Wish they used real garlic. PROS: 1. The fried wrap is delicious. Flaky and good! 2. Service was great! (I ordered the ChilliCCheesteak fried wrap. I would go back and try something else though.)

My first review! Soo ive been looking up this place for the past month… thinking wooow it must be delicious! 4.5 stars, lot of reviews, looks tasty, and great idea! Unfortunately… its not all that great. Idk where all the hype and stars came from but its not that good. I had their deep fried philly cheese streak wrap cause that seems to be the most popular, but it was … honestly, kinda gross. I also got their casket which looked amazing! But it really wasnt all that good. Their dessert menu tho. woooow their«the smo show» which is a deep fried s’more wrap with icecream and whip cream. simply, amazing. The warm gooey marshmallow, chocolate center with crispy, golden wrap topped off with vanilla icecream and whipcream… woooow. thats getting 2 stars! The other star is from the cashier! Idk his name but he resembled dumbdoundead. youll know when you see him! He was extremely generous! 2 water bottles ONTHEHOUSE! Which is 2 dollars! And a scoop of icecream ONTHEHOUSE! Extremely patient since he noticed my friends and i were first timers! Soo nice! In short, i would not go back for the meal but only for the dessert! Thats how good it wass! PEACE !

This place is amazing! I came here for the first time with my friend and we both order the Chili Cheesesteak. You get a choice of getting your food grilled or deep fried. The owner recommended deep fry and … It was worth it! The Deep fried wrap was surprisingly really good. The fried skin wasn’t oily and crunchy like tempura, but It was a light layer of deep fries skin. The Grilled version of the Chili Cheesesteak wasn’t that bad either. It’s texture was similar to a grilled burrito. You can also upgrade to garlic fries/onion rings which is a dream come true for you garlic lovers. Wrappidup offers STUDENTDISCOUNTS! You don’t have to be a CSUN student. so just bring your student ID!

Really long wait for food when no one is in the store. 15 – 20 minutes for a wrap and fries. The garlic fries are waffle fries and quite good, but not amazing. I had the wrap with two hot dogs, chili, cheese, coleslaw, etc. It was fine, but Slaw Dogs does the same thing 100x better. Small dining room and the night I was there the TV was tuned to Tosh.0 or whatever its called, super annoying. Friendly staff, decent prices but no reason to go back.

We came in around 8PM on a Sunday evening to a pretty empty restaurant. There were a total of 6 people in the entire place: me, the bf, another couple, the guy who took our order, and the guy who made our order. A loud Will Ferrel(booo!) movie was playing on the wide screen facing the tables. The guy who took the order was really helpful and friendly. He knew right away from the dazed and confused look on my face as I looked at the menu that I was a first timer. He recommended a deep fried chili cheesesteak wrap and a grilled shrimp wrap, which we ordered one of each. I thought I’d add in a «casket», which is composed of fries and onion rings smothered in chili and cheese, just to complete the heart attack. Both wraps were pretty good although I personally liked the chili cheesesteak wrap more since the chili made the wrap more flavorful. The grilled shrimp wrap was just like a regular shrimp burrito. Overall the meal was tasty, filling, and satisfying. The fare is really fatty, which they warn you about, so beware you health freaks.

(I only give 1 star [Bad]/ 3 stars [Okay]/ 5 stars [Great]) This place is a lil unique, they basically have specialized«burritos» or as they call them«wraps» with each individual one containing different ingredients. Example their ChiliCheeseSteak, basically a philly cheese steak with chili peppers in a tortilla. Now the best part about this place is that u get the option to either Deep Fry it or Grill it!!! Delicious!!! And they have an assortment of hot sauces(from tapatio to sriracha) Also, they serve crisscut fries. U can have them chili cheese style or garlic style. Wrap to try Chili Cheese Steak combo(with soda and Garlic Fries) Deep Fried. Then come back and try it Grilled.

So, I’ve been here 2 Sundays in a row! hahaha I do get my wrap grilled and I drink diet soda so I can feel semi better about eating the other stuff. LOL :) So, this time here’s what I tried: — grilled«The Shrimpferno» — it’s okay. The shrimp is nice and crispy but I think the contrast with the cole slaw is not for me. I think I’ll try something else next time because there is still so much to try. Yay! :) — «The Casket» — it’s evil because it’s got fire fries, garlic fries, and onion rings with chili cheese and cole slaw. It’s a spicy yumminess party in your mouth! — «Bananaggins» — it’s okay, but not as good as «The Smo’ Show». Reminded me too much of apple pie(which I’m not very fond of) even though I know it’s bananas. I still ate it ala mode though. LOL So, why the high stars despite my food experience this time!!! Because it’s nice to come to a place where they remember who you are. Plus, Brian is awesome! Thank you again! And it won’t stop me from coming back either to try more stuff. Trust me… I will be back with more minions! LOL :) I must spread the word! :)
