I’m a natural brunette, but last year I dyed my hair BRIGHT red (myself) and decided that it was finally time to go back to brown. I was going to do it myself but then I did a lot of research online and discovered that it’s a very difficult thing to do. My mom found this salon for me and I am so thankful! Marissa was my stylist, and I am beyond satisfied with the work that she accomplished. She listened to all of my concerns and was very reassuring and thorough. She took her time and gave me a beautiful haircut and the color turned out SO well. You never would have guessed that my hair was bright red before she started. She is so friendly and talented, I would highly recommend her! I also love the salon itself. It is gorgeous inside and they make your experience very comfortable.

Two stars for the salon who takes advantage of people with disabilities. I tried to teach my sister to check in on Unilocal so that she could get fifteen percent off of her services… it turns out that my sister only MENTIONED Unilocal (did not check in) so she did not get her 15% off…
When my sister told told me what happened, I called the salon the next day. I had the privilege of speaking with Melissa, the owner, and explained to her the situation about my sister’s learning disability. Melissa then explained to me that since my sister didn’t technically check in, that she couldn’t give her a discount, however, she’d give her ten dollars off next time… twenty if my sister were to bring in an additional coupon and recommend/​bring in a friend. SO after my sister received $ 230 in salon services for a hair cut, color, and blowdry, the owner still had the audacity to deny my sister her 15%.
I am not happy at all with Melissa’s business tactics. I was really hoping for an overall pleasant experience for my sister, but I guess $$$ is more important over advertised discounts/​customer satisfaction.
My recommendation to future customers is to get a grand itemized total for services that are going to be rendered, AND THEN ask the owner, MELISSA, if it is CONVENIENT for her to apply the 15% discount… and MOST importantly, remember to check in!

My sister and I have been coming here on and off for quite some time now and we love Robyn Michaels! My sister and I usually go to Heather who is AMAZING! She does the best color and cut. Recently I went to Rachel for highlights and she also did an amazing job! I have been going to this hair Salon for over 15 years now. The only thing about this place is that it has changed names a few times over the years as well as owners. I remember it mostly for the name Kim Richards even though it has had several names since then.
Regardless of the name changes, over the last 10 years I have kept my same hair lady. I absolutely adore Melanie. She is the sweetest girl. She does an amazing job on my hair every time I see her. She only works Monday and Saturday’s now but I still wait to see just her, even though I’m sure the rest of the people are great.
This salon is always clean and offers all the services a girl could need. Nails and toes, eyebrows, make up application, waxing, and more. They sell great products and the front desk is always friendly.

I recently tried to take the black out of my hair and went to someone that tried but did not know what she was doing. I wish the girl I went to would have told me how hard it would be — I would have just stayed black and let it grow out. UGH! After 2 attempts I ended up with dry, rubbery, nasty, banded, yellow/​orange hair. The hair cut she gave me was even worse.
So for a month I went out in public with my‘ hair either in a bun or a pony tail. I was sad. :(I started reading Unilocal reviews and called Robyn Michaels and made an appt with Krista. That woman is FREAKIN AWESOME! I love her and I promise to not let anyone else do my hair EVER. She did what I had originally wanted and that was take me back to my darker roots, with natural highlights. Then she gave me a haircut and style that made my hair look healthy but didn’t involve chopping it all off.
She did it all without taking 5 hours, overcharging me up the butt and got it to look all even and beautiful. I am so happy and I can go out with my hair down again.
Couldn’t be happier. Thank you Krista and thank you Linda (her beautiful assistant) who I had so much fun with.
