After a pretty gnarly car accident my neck has been a bit of a disaster. As it turns out, rear ending somebody going 55 – 60 mph isn’t very fun, let alone ideal for your spine. Like a fool I stopped going to our previous chiropractor after only a few treatments, so now we’re practically starting all over again in correcting the curvature(or lack thereof) of my neck. My husband is seeing Dr Thea for different issues, mainly for his lower back and his shoulders. Though we see her for different reasons, treatment is similar at its core. What we love about this doctor is that she does not only look at your symptoms, she looks at your overall health, your habits, health history, etc. to get a full picture so that she can provide the best possible treatment. She will take all information and your x-rays and will create a treatment plan and information folder for you to take home, she is very thorough and truly cares about her patients’ well being. Before treatment my husband gets to use the traction table, however I think that I am getting the better end of the deal. Rolling table thing which massages my entire back for a few minutes. where have you been all my life?! I am not sure what this is called, but I need one at home! I have never been adjusted by a more gentle chiropractor, and I love it. She doesn’t try to overdo anything, if it doesn’t ‘go’ she will either apply heat, massage a bit, or plan to get it next time. She’ll teach you things which you can do at home to help/keep up with treatment at home such as stretches in-between visits. My pain levels have gone down since starting treatment which makes me extremely happy. Because insurances can be limiting and can be cost prohibitive, we just pay out of pocket on a monthly basis. We get unlimited visits per month at a very reasonable price, much less than copays for the same amount of visits(except now the visits aren’t limited) — works for me!

Dr. Lewis gives a great adjustment. I feel very comfortable under her care. The office is nice and clean. I’ve been really happy with her service.

Honestly the worse experience I’ve had! Aside from her not wanting me to turn anything into insurance… she wanted me to just pay under the table and not report to my insurance! Umm, no thanks! She didn’t like when I told her«no, I wouldn’t do that!» She then adjusted me outside of the office and damaged my nerves from an over aggressive adjustment. I was in the hospital for two days. I instantly felt it when she performed the treatment. I made her aware that I felt sick, dizzy and like I was going to pass out. She brushed it off. I went to ER that night and they said I was at risk for an an artery dissection.(That would kill me!). I reached out to «Dr» Lewis with ZERO response on her end. I tried calling her for a WEEK, leaving messages while crying… NOTHING! I ended up in and out of the hospital for a YEAR! Medical bills piled up! I finally met another chiropractor and he saved my life!!! He requested all my reports for TLC, to which«Dr Lewis» couldn’t produce! She hadn’t taken any records??? So she never charted my treatments and never turned into my insurance! She pocketed all the money I’d give her. And trust me, the first visit was over $ 300! I was advised by my new Chiro that she had been harassing him for info on me. I was no longer HER patient and he refused to give her my info(as I had requested). I thank God I found this new chiropractor! Dr Gary in Commerce Twsp. Oakland Chiropractors. Call THEM! Bottom line, «Dr Lewis» ruined my neck for life! She didn’t care! She wouldn’t return calls, she was fraudulent to insurance… the list goes on! Do not go here!

I started seeing Dr. Thea Lewis 6 month ago. At the time, I could barely move my right arm to put on my jacket and every time I moved my head a certain way I would get dizzy(positional vertigo). Since I work in an office environment and therefore spent most days in a sedentary position, Dr. Thea Lewis recommended that I make some changes to my work area, along with switching the use of my mouse to the left(I am right handed). I no longer use the mouse right handed. Another change implemented is that I now work a stand up work station vs. sitting all the time; however, I do have the ability to sit whenever I need a break from standing. In addition to the chiropractic care, Dr. Lewis recommended that I do stretches every day, and use a pre-warmed heating wrap(roll) for 5 — 10 minutes prior to going to bed. Not sure how Dr. Thea Lewis remembers the name of everyone under her care, but she knows exactly what is going on with me and what adjustments are needed to get me pain free so I can enjoy my life until the next adjustment is needed. I highly recommend her services. Everyone in her office is extremely friendly and health conscious.
