I found Northwest Vision from a groupon and have ended up being a regular patient. The receptionist and doctors have all been very nice and friendly and answers all questions I have had. They have a good selection of frames to choose from and I have never had an eye doctor spend so much time helping me pick frames– it’s like having a personal shopper! I will continue to come here for my annual exams and for any issues that may pop up down the line– I know I am in good hands.

Called to check prices on getting my contact prescription renewed without insurance it was $ 106 for the exam, $ 48 for the refraction and $ 71 for the fitting. So out the door to start over $ 200. Hope that information helps someone else :)

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with an optometrist. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in kindergarten, never once until now was I forced into a pair of glasses that not only didn’t fit, but also make me see less than my bare eyes. My «doctor» only wanted to sell me surgery, which wont help my astigmatism. Avoid this practice at all costs. And if this isn’t enough, they had to make my glasses twice because they couldn’t get the measurements right the first time. Save you’re money, go with anyone other that this office b

Alright. I’ll admit it. I haven’t seen an eye doctor since 2006. This is decidedly more disturbing when you consider that I’ve found a way to stretch my contact lenses out this long. Ouch. So, when I pulled out the final contact lenses out of their box, my vanity spurred me along to FINALLY see an eye doctor. It was only good timing that the Groupon for that day happened to be for Northwest Vision Center. AND its right down the road from my doctor AND dentist. All medical appointment annoyances in one place! They were very accommodating and were able to work around my schedule(where I’d only be in Columbus 2 days in the next month, but of course I would like those 2 days). Their office is new and the staff was just so incredibly friendly. They were chatting with me and made me feel so comfortable. All the vision tests were done on the latest, state-of-the-art equipment. One of the things that had always caused me to dislike the eye doctor in the past was that I always felt pressured. You know, that«which one is better» routine makes me feel like I’m going to give a wrong answer and fail the test. But Dr Min walked me through everything and made sure I understood every single thing that he was doing and looking for. For once, I felt like I had a clue. The staff helped me pick out a cute pair of lenses and even steered me away from some dubious choices(«Um, I’m not sure turquoise frames are the best choice. You don’t look like you need any help adding color to your outfits.» *Glances down at my bright purple tights*) to find a funky, albeit neutral colored pair. And since I don’t have vision insurance, I got a 20% discount to boot. The discount is helpful because its a bit more expensive here than other places I’ve been, but I’ll pay the higher price for feeling so much more comfortable than in the other places. Have I really found an eye doctor I like? I think so. Maybe I won’t wait 5 years next time.
