Let me start by saying I wanted so badly to love this place! I’d been here a long time ago and thought it was alright for a quick take out meal if you’re in the mood for clam cakes and thought it was okay. I convinced my husband to try it out, so we stopped by and placed a take out order. The girl at the counter was super sweet. If this review were based on our experience with her alone, I would’ve given 5 stars. We placed our order with her and she mentioned it would be 15 minutes or so, no big deal. She then offered a glass of water while we waited, she was very nice and that’s not typical service you receive just anywhere. We got our order fairly quickly and took it home. My husband had the New England clam chowder and I got the soup of the day. His chowder was full of clams and potatoes! A lot of stock in the chowder! The issue was that the broth was pretty thin. We both like our chowder thick(just our preference) which is why he wasn’t too crazy about it. If you like a thin chowder you’ll likely enjoy the chowder here. My soup was pretty good, I definitely had no complaints. So to get to the reason why the rating is so low… the clam cakes. When we opened the container and were so impressed. The clam cakes themselves were an excellent size and they were cooked to absolute perfection… a deep golden brown and so fresh! Then we both took a bite, the batter itself was pretty decent, but no clams… then a second and third bite… no clams. We were terribly disappointed! As native New Englanders we both agree that if you’ve got clam cakes on the menu, the one thing you should have down to a science is the clam cakes. Nothing is worse than expecting to have clams in your clam cake and come up with none, or one. I know the ownership is fairly new and honestly the service was fantastic, but please please please add clams to the clam cakes!

What a gem! So close! We were looking for someplace new close by and had passed this place hundreds of times. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, It does badly need a paint job to spruce it up, maybe a nice RED for the trim, which is peeling. It is clean and comfy inside. The fisherman’s platter LUNCHSIZE was crispy and fresh. Even so I had to take half of it home. Portions are great. Fries had that special little extra crispy layer on them. It’s not an ambiance type of place for sure, if you want that get it to go. Waitress was super sweet. We’ll definitely be back! Oh! They started serving breakfast too! Can’t wait.

Great place to eat. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was yummy! Mom has the Buffalo Mac & Cheese and loved it! Go and have some lunch here. We’re glad we did!

Five star is fisherman’s 3 always great scallops great prices. The great couple that owns this recently sold it I’ll be sad to see them go but they’ll be hanging around working there helping out the new owners for a while. Love the scallops always want to try something new but can’t quite take myself away from those delicious scallops

Don’t be fooled by the modest exterior. The food is good, it’s down home and warm inside(the kind of place where the patron congratulates you on finishing your plate), and OMG they know how to do fish! The fish is great! Not over cooked, well seasoned, ample portions. Go for the sampler for two!

Great local spot we discovered while searching for a place for lunch. I had the Lobster Roll which was outstanding, and my coworker had the Greek salad with shrimp which she said was fantastic. The Greek lady working was a pleasure. Hit up this place if you’re in the area!

Sweet little old lady who waited on us was very friendly. Super old school little joint. We were the only ones eating in on a Friday afternoon, but there were people coming and going with their take-out orders who seemed to know our waitress very well. We were served a basket of warm rolls before our food came. Had the fisherman’s platter which came with fried haddock, scallops, whole belly and clam strips over fries served with coleslaw(had a bite to it!) and tartar sauce. It was the way I like it. Reasonable prices.

Love this place! Been coming for years and it’s still a favorite. Had the fisherman’s platter and it was enormous. Great selection of seafood and everything was cooked to profection. Introduced my husband to this little gem and he’s hooked now!

Family run business that offers a great lineup of seafood items. Tried the scallop and whole body clam platter and it was great. My wife had a lobster roll that looked like it had a whole lobster in the bun. Small diner feel, only a few tables and eat in bar, but the portions are huge and the owners are friendly, also reasonably priced.

Came here for the first time today and we loved it! Very cute family owned place. Great service, very nice people. We only ordered a lobster roll to try. It came out very quickly, had TONS of lobster meat, and was very, very good. Will definitely return to try more, highly recommended!
