Blue Lotus

Worst pedicure I’ve ever received. Don’t know if they’re lackadaisical on their 30% off days or if they just truly stink. The pedicure took all of 10 minutes and there is nail polish all over the skin around my nails. Sarah was my technician and it was truly awful and unenjoyable. To top it off at the end of my pedicure they decided to tell me that they do not take credit cards. Like everyone else in the salon, I had to walk (with wet toe nails) down the plaza to the ATM which charged me a $ 3.50 fee to take out cash. They should think about letting customers know these things before starting the treatment. Clearly, I will not be returning here. Ever.

They honestly don’t even deserve the one full star I gave them. Not only do I have more paint on my actual toes/​skin than on my nails for my pedicure and on my manicure you can see right through the ONE coat of gel they painted on my nails but after I paid with a check (because they failed to mention the fact the credit card machine was broken until after I was finished) «Kitty» was her name, decided to chase me out the salon to get back the paper sandals I was given upon receiving my pedicure.
Terrible experience, rude employees wouldn’t recommend going there unless you want to be rushed and leave unhappy. The 30% off days make sense because they do half ass job.

My girls goes there all the time. Like the environment, very friendly staff. And reasonable price.

I have been going to blue lotus for many years n I believe it is the best in the area. It’s clean, inexpensive prices (there’s 20%off on Mon Tue& Wed) convenient location w/​parking. Massage are offered after service. What else could I ask for? Highly recommend!

Enjoyed Blue Lotus many times, but the last two times my daughter has gone she has had to deal with a very rude staff. The person who gave her the last pedicure she had actually laughed at her feet and said you don’t use cream do you. When in fact she does and just has very dry feet. Today when she gave it another try for a manicure she was pressured into using the cash she had on hand instead of them taking her debit card as they have in the past. She was told it was much easier for them if she used cash. I doubt we will return.

Discovered this place while visiting my favorite pet supply store in the same plaza in Shelton. Of all the typical manicure/​pedicure salons I’ve been to, this one stands out from the rest. I was pleasantly surprised by the spa atmosphere. When you request a pedicure, you’re taken into a «pedicure room» in back with approximately 8 chairs. I enjoyed not being on display for everyone walking through the front door while receiving a pedicure. The woman taking care of me (Julie?) did a wonderful job… my feet are quite ugly, but this is the best they’ve ever looked! During my visit, the staff had more men than women… personally, I’m not comfortable with a pedicure from a man. But, I got lucky on this visit. Average prices, convenient parking, I’ll be back!
