Me and my boyfriend initially came here because I wanted a soufflé however the soufflé was not available at this location(meaning it is not on the menu). So my boyfriend and I ended up ordering the chocolate lava cake(or something like that to share). It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. It was pretty good, warm and very chocolate rich! My boyfriend loves it but can never finish all of it! He also orders the hot chocolate which is also very chocolate rich and good. I would describe this place as a nice small place to enjoy an after dinner dessert with a few people.

Salted Carmel Latte amazing. Better than Starbucks. I am so happy that I found this place. In my 20’s I wanted to find a place like this but never any luck. I am lucky to say this is the spot now that I move here Friendly staff and beautiful décor. Food deserts drinks are fantastic.

I absolutely LOVE Chocopologie. I come here about three times a month. First of all, the location is great, right in the middle of SoNo and by the water. Second of all, the restaurant/café itself is comfortable and chic. The quiche Lorraine I frequently order is a generous size and comes with a side salad for $ 8. The grilled cheese with ham and onions is also incredible. Now onto the crepes! You can build your own crêpe using the ingredients offered on the menu(fresh fruit, Nutella, caramel, etc) I’m partial to getting a strawberry banana Nutella crêpe. This is one of the very few local places I’ve found that has crepes, and great ones. The coffee is exceptional. Their house blend and lattes are good. On my last visit I ordered an iced hazelnut latte which was perfection. Each experience I’ve had here has been wonderful! The service is friendly and servers attentive(Danielle is the best!!!) I always leave very full and happy, without spending too much. Every time I have friends from out of town I bring them here and they all love it too. I can’t wait until my next outing here!

I have been here twice for an after-dinner dessert. The first time we just got a couple slices of cake and a cheesecake pop from the counter. The second, and most recent, time we decided to have a sit-down dessert. The ambiance is very trendy and hip. It has a coffee-shop like feel, but with the added bonus of delectable desserts. We seated ourselves and someone came over to take our order pretty quickly. We ordered fondue, fresh-baked cookies, and a brownie. We were told that the fresh baked cookies would take 15 minutes so we asked that the other orders be brought out earlier if available. Unfortunately, I have to echo what the other reviewers wrote about the slow service. It really took way over 15 minutes, and they didn’t bring out the fondue and brownies earlier as we requested. It took us longer to eat dessert than our actual dinner at another restaurant down the street. As for the actual dessert, it was very good. I never thought I would be so enthusiastic about vanilla ice cream, but the stuff here is especially awesome. The fresh baked cookies were great. The fondue was pretty good. I’m just not sure it was any better than just grabbing some takeout at the front counter and skipping the long, slow service.

Napoleon was just average, clearly just purchased in bulk and cut and put in pastry case. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Came here for brunch. Left much to be desired unfortunately. While the Crème brûlée cappuccino is good despite the coffee being overly biter, the food itself is not much to speak of. I ordered eggs Benedict and I was let down. The hollandaise sauce was the best thing about the dish. It’s clear they use a Thomas’s English muffin and the ham taste like is came from the local meat department at the grocery store. Overall I could have have 14 bucks and made this at home

First experience for us in this SO-NO brunch place. We liked: the atmosphere, the live acoustic guitar, the food(excellent eggs Benedict, especially with the salmon). We disliked: the check, the super slow service We hated: the waitress ruining my pants when cleaning up the table and not trying to apologize with a free coffee or anything on the house. Mixed feelings…

Great egg sandwiches, awesome lattes(plenty of different flavors if you like to treat yourself to the occasional sweet latte), and amazing homemade chocolate desserts. Have to go back soon and try their s’mores!

Needed to kill an hour before an appointment and randomly came across Chocoplogie. The place is on the small and dark side with graffitti on the wall and some random art for sale, very«hipster» looking. You seat yourself and patiently wait for someone to come by to take your order. The menu includes a vast array of desserts, sandwiches, salads, breakfast & cocktails. Considering the name I decided to order a salted caramel hot chocolate with marshmellows. The order took a little longer then I would have anticipated but once I took a sip of my drink and noticed that the marshmellows were actually toasted I could see why it took some time. The best hot chocolate I ever had! I didn’t really mind waiting around because I was actually trying to kill time and its a nice little spot to chill out and relax. Looking forward to coming back and trying some dessert.

The molten chocolate cake was delish. Not sure why this place only has 2.5 stars at the time of this review. Turns out it’s a previous management issue. Anyway, hoping it’ll take off and more positive reviews turn up the star rating. Living near SONO, I’d be keen to make it one of my regular spots.

Love, love, loved this place! When I used to live in SoNo I would frequently visit. The interior was rustic and cozy. I would usually dine-in for dinner or dessert. I loved the fact that I was able to choose from a variety of hand-made chocolates. I was immediately captivated by the large chocolate case in the restaurant for retail sale. I am Austrian and chocolate runs through my veins. My favorite dishes to this day are the duck and any one of the quiches. They are incredibly delicious and presented nicely on the plate. Chocopologie reminds of a café that I had visited in my travels throughout Europe as a child. The fries are served in paper cones with dipping sauces to compliment them. I remember in Germany, on the side of the road there would be frite stands that serve you handfuls of freshly fried potatoes in a massive paper cone. I loved it! For me, Chocopologie has a nostalgic feel and that is why I carry such high regard for this establishment. The chocolate fondue is out of the world. It came paired with fresh strawberries, bananas, and homemade marshmallows. I was in chocolate heaven. I understand that it gets very busy and sometimes the service takes a strain due to that. But if you are patient and can see Chocopologie for what its worth, you will not be let down.

I don’t know how chocopologie only has 3 stars. This place has the BEST hot chocolate and the best chocolate fondue. I haven’t been here for brunch by I’ve heard great things. This is the place to go On a cold winter day, the peanut. Butter hot chocolate is great. But keep in Mind their cocoa is rich. They offer a hot cocoa beverage which is half the cocoa and more Milk for the people who aren’t a fan of rich chocolate. This is definitely the place to go for chocolate especially hot cocoa

So here is one of those, ‘manage your expectations before entering’ scenarios. — The service tends to be slow, so expect slow service. — This is predominantly a confiserie(fancy word for a place that sells chocolate), so get dessert. If you get something that isn’t dessert, then I told you so. — It is in Sono, so prices will inherently be higher than elsewhere in Norwalk. Now, back to this place. The ambiance is ‘hipster’, feels like Brooklyn. I like it. The chairs and tables are assorted and different, and the outdoor seating is a plus. As I always do, the food is most important to me. It is a huge portion of every rating… this is easily a 4.5, not a 4. There is one simple reason: It has what is literally the best dessert dish I have ever had in my life. I say that with confidence. The chocolate molten cake is this sizable dish with a medium-sized metal dish with brownie on the top, bottom, and sides, with the most decadent, delicious, delectable, scrumptious chocolate filling I have ever eaten. The scoop of ice cream on the side gives that hot/cold combination, that furthers the culinary journey you would take into this other world. Literally the best ever. Best $ 10 for a dessert I will spend. I would pay $ 20(but you better not increase your prices). I have had friends with me that think their cappuccino is the best, and others that think their dessert crepes are the best. So that’s 3⁄3. But, this molten cake is worth the trip. Don’t go for lunch or real food, why? Go for dessert.

Good cup of coffee. Fantastic chocolate desert. My son wasn’t thrilled with the strawberry ice cream but I loved it. My wife loved the cappuccino cake! I found the price very fair for the quality of the foods.

Was at the new location 2 weeks ago with my wife for brunch. Understaffed and mediocre food. Owner needs to take some time and reflect on whether he wants to be another failure story in SoNo, or invest in staff and better chef. Not going back.

Look, the original spot was cool, they started off amazing and we’re not just doing chocolate but lunches with quality salad, sandwiches and the like. Things changed and during that stage I too was more than once disappointed but SoNo lacks cafes and a culture to go with it so expectations need to be set in line with ability to deliver. This new spot was a café prior I enjoyed and so in line with supporting local I’m a fan and only know of one other better hot chocolate in Fairfield County so that sets a standard in itself. The scant pastry selection and transitions into this new space aren’t the fault of the business as all go through transitions, especially now more than ever. Go easy crew, support the shop, and grow the culture.

Still not a fan. The service is slow and unfriendly. My «side salad» cost $ 7 and was just a bunch of chopped up romaine — no onions, no tomatoes. The menu is set up against a wall that you have to walk from side to side to read. Staff seemed annoyed at just about everything. My boyfriend did like his peanut butter and jelly truffle though. And the hot chocolate is just about the most decadent thing you will ever drink.

Go there if you’re craving something sweet. Their cakes/desserts are yummy and their coffee goes great with it(particularly their lattes). Love their coconut cake and carrot cake. Their service is still slow, but staff is friendly. I sometimes think they intentionally understaff because they don’t have a lot of space to work with. Go there if you have time to chill. They have WiFi and their chocolates are good, too. Just wish they were in their old space — much more cozier.
