Appears clean, well kept, gates without rust or squeaks, and a friendly sales staff of two attractive ladies. Smaller selection of random goods as compared to traditional pawn shops (minus one star). Rare and useful items noted: pneumatic tools, wireless printer, old-​generation game consoles etc.
Good for a musician on a budget. Line6 amps, plus several small 10−20watt practice amps. Bits and pieces of a drum kit, PA system with smallish speakers. About half the guitars we’re missing 3 or more strings. Dean guitar Flying V model caught my eye. Plus a Hando acoustic with a Gibson Hummingbird pick guard glued on top made me chuckle. Other assortment of knock off Strat models too.
Would recommend to a friend.

Friendly, however the praise stops there.
Couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. Took in quite a few pieces of silver, but all they would take was 1 piece because it was the only one «marked». Was told it would be tough for anyone to take the other pieces. Had no advice. Wanted to walk away right then, but was talked into selling my antique silver spoon for like $ 8.
So anyway went to Liberty Coin in Long Beach, they looked at my «unmarked» pieces, and gave me a great deal on ALL of it. I wish I would have went to Liberty first.
Now I am on the Gold Max mailing list, and wont remove me, after I have sent letter to please be removed.
I wish I would have never went to Gold Max, I would have saved time, frustration, and probably $$.
