Halloween Yelper All You Can Eat Boo-ffet

I give props to Rodney S who says that he is shy but he was a great conversationalist, very friendly to all, introducing Unilocalers to each other and more. We started the evening at Hibachi Grill in the Norwalk Town Square which featured seafood, a variety of beef, pork and poultry, potatoes, rice, noodles and so much more. I was so full I did not try any of the deserts.
For only $ 11 I had a great buffet experience. For $ 1+ you get a drink with unlimited refill, water was free.
Rodney then took us to Cha20 were we had some drinks and chatted for a while.
It was great meeting some new Unilocalers including OC CM Ryan, Irene, Jo, Peter, Sherry & Chris. I also ran into Binh, her BF and Jason.
Fun night overall, very comfortable setting, very generous proportions and everyone was friendly. Rodney planned a gift exchange, very fun, laughs the whole time.
I hope you have another UYE soon Rodney, I will be there.

This was my very first Unilocal event and I had loads of fun! It was great to meet everyone there and be able to exchange gifts. I got a pregnancy test AND a dollar on from my secret halloween santa :). Thanks Rodney for planning it and brightening up my Saturday!

D-​Bag move #143 — Reviewing your own Unilocal Event
Being the shy, reclusive hermit that I am, I decided on hosting a UYE for fellow Unilocalers to chat, mingle & discuss hard-​hitting topics such as «Who was the better mom on The Fresh Prince of Bel-​Air?». I chose Hibachi Grill Buffet as the venue because I’ve liked the food the previous times I’ve dined here before, it’s cheap &, frankly, because it’s close. I was becoming a little apprehensive when 6:30pm rolled around, with Pete & I being the only ones there, but in true Unilocaler fashion, people straggled in at different points during the evening. Better late than never, and better out than in, I always say (Shrek reference, YES!).

13 out of 19 showed (with 2 surpises), so a good turn-​out, in my book. Thank you to everyone who came to my event last night. It was great to see and hear from you all. I’ve already had the pleasure of meeting most of you at previous events & it was great meeting the few that I haven’t had the opportunity to meet prior. You’re all great people!
For a nightcap, a few of us went to Cha20 down the street in Artesia. It was fun having the «afterparty» there.

This was my second Unilocal event. It was fun to meet new people and eat good food with them ^^ Thank you to Rodney for setting it up. I look forward to the next one.

First of all, I want to give a huge thank you to Rodney S. for putting together this great UYE. It was held at the Hibachi Buffet in Norwalk at 6:30 pm. After waiting for a few stragglers, we were seated and the fun began! It was really great to sit down with friends, old and new alike, and also enjoy a tasty buffet meal and a dollar store gift exchange. (Hooray for bubbles!)
It was also great to see Ryan C (our awesome CM for the OC) and all the others who came to this event — I’ll be there for your next UYE, Rodney!

So glad I was able to make it out to the event! Got my 99 cents gift ready and all. Though I was late, I still got to participate in the white elephant drawing. Got myself some fat burning pills… Anyways! The waitress at Hibachi Grill was really nice at not charging me because I wasn’t eating at this buffet. Got to catch up with some of my favorite Unilocalers while meeting new ones. Headed to Cha2o after for some boba in a bottle. Chill night with interesting cheap gifts to be opened.
